Asus K8v-MX Socket 754 Bios
Hi all,
Recently I have been trying to unlock this bios file for an older motherboard that I use for a retro gaming rig. It is an Asus K8V-MX it works great however for some games it is too fast and I would like to be able to adjust the CPU multiplier and turn it down to slow down the CPU. I tried numerous tools AMIBCP and others to try and find the setting and I am at a loss. If anyone can point me in the right direction or unlock the feature for me or even tell me if it is possible at all I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Gericom Hummer (2004) - annoying UDMA2 bug & removeable GPU
Hello all, I acquired this interesting "desktop replacement" laptop from 2004 featuring a Pentium 4 and GeForce FX Go5600. I have tried many different SATA to IDE adapters however all of them when booting the laptop, the AMIBIOS will always detect them as UDMA2, meanwhile the original 60GB HDD is detected as UDMA5. I have tried mSata to IDE, M.2 to IDE and 2.5" SATA to IDE, the last one being a pricey one featuring the Marvell chip used in the red Startech adapters for desktops. But basically none of these will give me the full speed of UDMA5.
A sort of workaround I have managed is using HDAT2 in DOS. Boot into Windows 98, reboot into MS-DOS, set it to UDMA5, exit back to Windows. Unfortunately the UDMA5 from this only applies to read speed and not write, you can see what's happening in this video:
https://youtu.be/yvGIDjjjxTI
But as soon as you fully reboot or power off/back on and it goes through the initial AMIBIOS splash screen, it resets to UDMA2.
I've even tried using AMIBCP to force UDMA5 however that doesn't work because it redetects it as "maximum UDMA2". Also there aren't any hidden menus in here.
On an unrelated note, these laptops also allow you to remove the GPU module, and there are a few modules that fit this laptop
GeForce FX Go5600 (the one it came with)
GeForce FX Go5700
ATI Radeon Mobility 9000
ATI Radeon Mobility 9600
ATI Radeon Mobility 9700
When switching to an alternative module however, the laptop will not post, it does power on and the modules get hotter etc. but there will be just a black screen, I'm wondering if there is some white list in the bios to stop it booting with them or it's something on the vBios' on the modules themselves. Anyway I've attached the latest AMIBIOS for this laptop if anyone cares to look, thanks.

info Asrock 970 extreme4 boot beep sound
HI
I hope someone can answer me and explain how I can implement a function in the latest bios of the ASROCK 970 Extreme4 motherboard (I believe 2.80), originally in the first versions of the Bios there was the function of the classic beep to ignition, then it was removed in the Latest versions, I don't remember what version onwards of the Bios was removed from and I have not even understood the reason, for example on another more recent motherboard always asrock, in the boot section there is the menu that makes you activate or Disable this function, I am very sure that initially just purchased the motherboard I had the initial beep, I also remember that I wrote to Asrock to understand if it was possible to restore it but they gave me negative outcome. Currently the beep is audible when you enter the BIOS to make changes. My question is: recovering one of the previous bios online would it be possible to transfer this function in the last BIOS? and in what way thanks

[Request] 11th Gen CPU support to Asrock H470M-HDV/M.2
Hi everyone this is my first post. Today I've received my "new" 11600k cpu, I thought all LGA1200 motherboards were compatible with all gen11 cpus but sadly discovered it was not compatible with my motherboard ASROCK H470M-HDV/M.2. The error I get is black screen, no image but fans turn on.
I've been looking all day online for some information about BIOS modding but I'm not sure how to proceed.
Some asrock motherboards with same chipset received a BIOS update to support gen11 cpus but not mine.
For example H470 Steel Legend with BIOS 1.40 GEN11 was not supported but with BIOS 1.60 it is supported.
Same for H470M-STX BIOS 2.00 unsuported gen11, BIOS 2.10 with gen11 support.
I have H470M-HDV/M.2 with the latest official bios: BIOS 1.40
Any help would be appreciated, if I'm missing anything or did something wrong please let me know. Thanks in advance.

EVGA x299 DARK 128gb ram support with old microcode
Hello, I found on xDevs.com modded unlocked bios v04 for my evga x299 dark that is based on old cpu microcode (official evga bios 1.03) It adds many options and additional menus like me disable, better overclocking and without CVE-2017-5753, CVE-2017-5715 and CVE-2017-5754 patches . link: https://xdevs.com/guide/e299ocg/#biost
[XOC BIOS ROM and flash tool, Ver.X04 for EVGA X299 DARK]
download link to modded bios: https://xdevs.com/doc/_PC_HW/EVGA/E299/b...OS_004.zip
But I have 4 sticks of 32gb ram each and evga added support of 128gb of ram for this mobo only starting from BIOS 1.19 (EVGA X299 DARK ( 4 DIMMs, maximum memory capacity 128GB with 4x32GB UDIMM) starting from BIOS 1.19)
Primary goal. Is that possible to add 128ram support to already modded bios XOC BIOS ROM, Ver.X04? I think it is possible to add 128gb ram support from any official bios starting 1,19…
Another way, unlock hidden bios options in latest official bios 1.28 and disable CVE-2017-5753, CVE-2017-5715 and CVE-2017-5754 patches
Download latest bios x299 dark: https://forums.evga.com/BIOS-Updates-for...36753.aspx

[REQUEST] Lenovo Thinkpad T480s (N22ETxxW) Whitelist Removal
Greetings,
I've attempted to remove the whitelist myself from a Thinkpad T480s. I've tried various methods and each time I get the musical tone of error 0285.
I applied the .txt patch using UEFIpatch and I've also tried to edit out the infinite loop that occurs when an unauthorized card is detected.
I have removed/disabled the Intel Management Engine with success.
I've attached my dump in hopes of the list getting removed.
Cheers.

HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF - Upgrade to 8th Gen (Coffee Lake)
Hello!
Would it be possible to mod the BIOS on the HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF to support 8th Gen Intel CPUs?
It currently supports 6th and 7th Gen ones, and I've seen this done on other systems, I just do not know if it's possible on this one.
Please keep in mind that I am completely new to bios modding.
Thank you for any help!
