help unlocking insyde h20 bios

Hi everybody I have chinese Thunderobot 911 air laptop with 10th gen i5 cpu and gtx 1650ti dGPU

So the bios in it's current state doesn't allow me to install any linux os othe than ubuntu and also won't allow me to change the wifi card to a internal usb adapter card I tested the adapter on a hp laptop and it worked fine

So I need your help to mod the bios

The bios is Insyde h20 rev 5.0 version cp171

any help would be appreciated Heart

Hello,
I am seeking BIOS version 2.30 for my Old Toshiba Satellite A660 (Part Number: PSAW3E-06P00WAR) laptop. I require this BIOS version for an upcoming system update.
Laptop Details:
  • Model: Toshiba Satellite A660
  • Part Number: PSAW3E-06P00WAR
  • Current BIOS Version: 2.20
  • Desired BIOS Version: 2.30
  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) Build 7601, Service Pack 1
  • Motherboard: Toshiba NWQAA, Intel HM55 chipset
  • Memory: 4 GB DDR3, 533.3 MHz

MSI PRO CARBON X370 Unlock LED OPTION

Hi, I have an MSI X370 Pro Carbon and I can't get the LEDs to work. I've downloaded every software and can't control anything, and there is no LED option in the BIOS settings. My BIOS layout is the old one, not this new one:

Does anyone know if it’s possible to change the BIOS layout to access the LED option, or if there’s a way to unlock the LED option in my current version? Thanks.

Hello, friends.

Yet again, I need your help with this stupid not-OEM-but-kind-of-OEM board.

Goal is to run Xeon L5410 on it, much cooler + will run at stock clocks.

Board revision is GF9300-B-E, no idea why Zotac made so many revisions of the same board, but hey.

I found out there are no Xeon mods for B rev, please help.

Hello!
Would it be possible to mod the BIOS on the HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF to support 8th Gen Intel CPUs?
It currently supports 6th and 7th Gen ones, and I've seen this done on other systems, I just do not know if it's possible on this one.
Please keep in mind that I am completely new to bios modding.

I don't know why, but Fujitsu removed any BIOS download for D3358-A2x motherboard from their website, it's even confirmed publicly by them:

but without any explanation and how to get the BIOS if you don't keep the old downloads. so, I am looking for Any BIOS for Fujitsu D3358-A2x motherboard. I hope someone still keeps copy of it and will share it here. Many thanks!

Question about how to link two sections in the BIOS

In my BIOS, the Gfx Configuration does not have a redirection, but this section exists and is configurable. In the first image, it’s possible to see that there is no redirection, but in the second image, it shows that the section exists. How can I make it so that when accessing the Gfx Configuration from the first image, it leads to the section shown in the second image?

Hey all!

I was hoping to get a whitelist removal for my laptop, so I can replace the Centrino that's in here with a Bluetooth compatible Intel 7260HMW instead. I plan to use this laptop for travelling, and I want to use my Bluetooth headphones with this. The BIOS version is currently Insyde F27, but I'm alright with downgrading to F26 or other versions if necessary. Thanks in advance!

Lenovo P500 bios modding for xeon v4 possible?

Hello, i want to know if it would be possible to mod the Lenovo P500's bios for Xeon V4 support.
It uses the intel C612 chipset, which in HP z440/640/840 supports the aforementioned xeon.
Lenovo P500 is only limited to xeon V3 cpus.
Would this be possible?

I have a thinkpad x1 carbon 20KH006JIX, after a bios downgrade to 1.08, what happens is that neither usb nor ssd peripherals are read. Accessing the bios works and so does diagnosis. Since the usb does not work I cannot update the bios in the classic way. I would like to force the upgrade. What name should I give to the file and if you can tell me also the right file, I think it is BootX64.efi. or if you have other suggestions. Thanks in advance

I have an Acer Nitro 5 notebook (exact model mentioned in the thread subject). It's currently already flashed with the latest stock BIOS, which can be found here (direct link):

The BIOS's version is v2.14, and its' release date is 6-24-2024.

I'm not sure if it matters, but my laptop's CPU is Intel i5-1200H, with onboard Intel graphics chip, an NVIDIA 3050 Ti, and 16GB RAM.

I'm not really wanting any mods, just an unlocked BIOS with all hidden menus accessible. If there are any options relating to legacv/CSM booting, please unlock those as well. From what I can tell, this notebook is UEFI only, but I may be wrong.

I'm willing to donate to someone that can do the mod and produce a BIOS which is flashable/functional and doesnt brick the laptop.

I know that I'll probably need to dump my BIOS manually, so if someone can post with instructions on how to do that, I'll follow up with the dump. Thanks!

Hello there I'm currently on F.21 BIOS and there is no where to increase VRAM to 1GB which is needed for NootedRed's kext on Vega 8 iGPU for opencore. I've tried Smokeless_UMAF but to no avail. Does anybody have an already modded bios or another way to increase that pesky vram from 256mb to 1GB? thank you for any help here!

Acer Swift 3 laptop SF314-512 keyboard backlit

Hi!

I have request related to the following Acer Swift 3 laptop: SF314-512

This model comes with backlit keyboard. When you turn on the laptop, the keyboard backlit is ON by default (you can  be disable the light temporarily using the Fn + F11 shortcut but the setting does not persist after a reboot, it always boots with backlit on).

Keyboard illumination is useful in dark rooms but in most of the situations users do not need keyboard lights to be on when typing, and with the silver keyboard and lights on it is difficult to read keyboard keys in light room due to the low contrast between letters and silver colour of keys.

In the BIOS there is an option to control the keyboard backlit but it only has 2 options:

- you can set the backlit to be On all the time
- or you can set this option to backlit timeout, so after some time it will turn off but as soon as you start typing the keyboard turns back on automatically

Is it possible to modify this BIOS so that it starts with backlit OFF by default? Or add the BIOS option to turn off backlit? or so that it does remember last Fn + F11 shortcut status?



Would you be so kind to look into this and try to modify this BIOS? (Unfortunately I don't have sufficient knowledge to do that by myself)

Asus Pro WS W680-ACE Bios Mod

Looking to modify this specific version of Bios. Don't want to do on latest as they decreased performance. All I want is to unlock all hidden options and add in a way to fully overclock the cpu on core ratio on E cores and P cores. As of moment ratios are locked to highest stock ones. Any anything else that be useful. I have a wild cooling system like to be able to OC extremely far. Also maybe see if a more nicer UI could be done with using from gamer versions atm uses old style. Also like to see if we can get live Intel XTU overclocking working to edit while in OS. Intel XTU does see it and almost does it. But I think hidden option in bios stops it.
