How to Modify Aptio BIOS Design and Enable Mouse Functionality?

Hello,

I am a user of a mini PC, and I find the BIOS design very outdated (legacy). I would like to change it to something modern and sleek like Gigabyte’s BIOS. I am aware that it is possible to change the design of Aptio BIOS. Could you please advise me on what tools I should use and the steps I need to take?

Additionally, I would like to enable mouse functionality in the BIOS, similar to what other BIOS manufacturers offer. Can this be done by simply adding code?

Lastly, my mini PC is recognized as a laptop by the Microsoft Devices site. I believe there might be a setting in the BIOS causing this. How can I change it to be recognized as a desktop?

[Request] Insyde embedded AMD BIOS disable secure boot

Hi,

Please could somebody help me disable secure boot for this Insyde embedded AMD system BIOS? It will currently only boot from an embedded flash chip. It recognizes a bootable USB but won't boot from it due to secure boot.

Dumped the file from the 25Q64FWS1Q flash, tried to mod it using H20EZE and burned back to a 25Q64FWS1G unsuccessfully. I've burned the original .bin back to another 25Q64FWS1G chip and it boots OK.

The BIOS is super locked down, only showing BIOS version, memory, date and time in the setup utility, but I only need to disable secure boot so I can boot from USB or SATA.

I have a HP T520 Thin Client that I will convert into a PfSense router, but it only has one ethernet port. I have purchased a mini Pcie Ethernet adapter to have two ethernet ports, but the device briefly shows the HP logo and turns off and on. When plugging in a mini Pcie WiFi adapter, the device boots fine. When using a different ethernet adapter, the device still gets stuck in a boot loop. I have tested both ethernet adapters on my laptop and both work, suggesting that the HP Thin Client has a whitelist. I have tried removing the whitelist but couldn't. I also have aBIOS programmer to test the bios and recover it if it gets bricked.

lenovo ideapad 310 15ikb bios advanced settings

Hello everyone,
I'm experiencing some performance issues with my Lenovo Ideapad 310 15IKB, which has led me to check the BIOS settings. However, I find that I don't have access to the full advanced BIOS settings on my device.
I would like to know how to access these advanced settings, specifically to modify CPU throttling and change the data controller from IDE to AHCI or RAID.
Here are the details of my device:
Model: Lenovo Ideapad 310 15IKB
BIOS: 3JCN31WW +  insydeh20 rev 5.0

Flashing truncated Bios to allow 7th gen CPUs

I want to change the bios of my Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo D756 E90 mobo model D3401-A11 with the bios of its sibling mobo D3401-B2. The latter supports 6th gen Skylake and 7th gen Kaby Lake CPUs. My latest mobo bios only supports 6th gen. I want to use Kaby Lake to make transcoding 4K HEVC possible.

I hope I correctly verified that it is possible by truncating the .uba file of the b2 mobo bios with something like [trunc.exe](https://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Sys...runc.shtml) as described here

and then flash it to my mobo. I guess this is possible because both boards use the same Intel Q150 chipset.

The forum postings only describe flashing with a hardware programmer. So my questions are:

Is it safe to do this?

Is it possible to use the built in possibility to flash the modified bios with a USB drive and Free DOS?

My current bios file pack contains a .upc and a .uba file. So does this mean I have to replace the .uba file with the modified one? What about the .upc file?

I never done something like this so please feel free to treat me like a noob.

I've got an alienware aurora r3 desktop and it won't boot with anything newer than a gtx 980 because the mobo bios doesnt like more modern hybrd vbioses.

The linked thread shows that you can fix this by disabling the UEFI image on the bios, essentially so it is listed as legacy only in GPUZ.

Hi guys,

I just bought a brand new Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 16IMH9, this uses the new Intel Ultra 9 185H CPU which cannot be undervolted via BIOS or via tools like ThrottleStop.

I want to be able to undervolt it so I will need a modded BIOS.

I am currently using the latest BIOS NKCN26WW from Lenovo:

Of course I am more than willing to pay/donate for the unlocking work!!

Hello dear community,

I need the Bios for the fujitsu d3417-b21. I need to flash the bios new because the pc is not starting. Just the CPU cooler is 100 % spinning. Can someone provide me the right Bios for my mainboard please ? The Bios chip is a MX25L23850F.
