Bios mod 775 to 771 submitted :Gigabyte EP43T UDL3 Rev 1.0

Hi there all,

I'm new but in any case..

I Have just completed a F9 bios that has the Xeon 54xx Micro-codes in them for the 771 conversion mod. If anyone has this motherboard you can use the bios files located in the attachment section of this post. Remember that Q flash might want a .F file and not a bin file. As for the @ flash utility in windows It does not Mather as noted in my personal experience.

Bios type : Award
Bios size : 1024 KB / 1.0 MB EXACT

Utilities used : intelmicrocodelist / CBROM195

Unknown mobo, Phoenix BIOS - unlocking

Hi all, it's my first post here ;-)

Here's the long story short: I have a mobo of unknown origin (a pull-off from a DVR of some sort), the BIOS ID is:

6A79HAKCC-00 05/05/2008

The AK thing says it's either Aaeon or Advantech - embedded computer manufacturers, the problem is - I couldn't find BIOSes on their respective websites, nor the specific motherboard model.

examination+googling revealed that this mobo is an Intel 945GM(E) + ICH7 one, modified Phoenix BIOS. The motherboard presents itself as Advansus 945G.

Here's the ROM file, backed up using the UniversalBIOSBackup:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/07e57nyy242fxw...6.00PG.rom

Honestly speaking, I'm too much of a n00b to modify it straight away - I've tried PhoenixModTool 1.42 and Phoenix BIOS editor, without success - cannot load the file properly. Can anyone help me?

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right section for it, so I'm sorry if it's not, but I'm not sure where to post elsewhere.
The problem is the following:
The Notebook is equipped with a Broadcom Card (43228 if I remember correctly) for Wifi+Bluetooth.
Since it's kind of unstable I tried to exchange it against an Intel Centrino 6230 and 6235. On both cards Wifi is working wonderfully, but the Bluetooth part is not recognized at all. In Ubuntu it shows an rfkill switch for Bluetooth when the Broadcom Card is in (named as acer-bluetooth), but none with the Intel Cards.

Is this a bios issue which is belonging here? Could anyone help me on that?

Greeting,
daniels7

Information
Unlocked two hidden menus named "Advanced" and "AMD", that contain a bunch of settings - including UEFI boot preferences known to cause much confusion with this model in the past.

Model: Lenovo IdeaPad S205
Type: Phoenix SecureCore Tiano
BIOS: 4BCN24WW (version 24)

.jpg  advanced.jpg (Size: 168.23 KB / Downloads: 18)
.jpg  advanced-boot.jpg (Size: 155.33 KB / Downloads: 14)

Instructions
- Flash BIOS using Flash.bat
- Enter the BIOS after flashing, go to "Configuration" and disable the setting "Hidden Page". Save settings, reboot, and you will see the new menus.

Do it yourself
- Extract PE32+ image section body of module PlatformSetupConfigurationDxe (F2CDF4CF-398D-459D-98CE-A925CAD02194) with UEFITool and parse it with IFR extractor
- Find "Setting: Hidden Page" at the very bottom of the generated file. Suppress instruction for hidden page is at offset 0x1791, the condition is at offset 0x1793
- Change the condition from "45 0A 01 00" to "45 0A 00 00" in the extracted module at offset 0x1793. Screenshot:

Copy logo from old OEM to latest Intel BIOS?

MPC ClientPro 385 uses an Intel DQ965CO uBTX motherboard. The last BIOS version MPC released was 6000. The last BIOS Intel released for the board was 6100.

I'd like the MPC logo and OEM info transplanted to the Intel 6100 BIOS if it's possible.

Intel 6100 here https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_...8&lang=eng

MPC 6000 here http://www.mpcdrivers.com/apps/disclaime...S_6000.exe

I used the OEM XP test floppy and it couldn't find a match. Currently installing XP Pro so I can use RW Everything to get the current BIOS + OEM data. Having to do it with the hard drive set to IDE mode because it bluescreens with Intel's F6 disk for this board. Sad

Motherboard is an Intel DQ965CO uBTX with a custom OEM boot logo, don't know if there are any other alterations.

SLIC Toolkit finds no SLIC or SLP it recognizes, but there must be at least SLP because I used an MPC OEM XP Pro SP2 disc to install XP and it's auto activated. There should also be a SLIC 2.0 table because MPC sold this model with Vista.

OEMBIOS backup after installing from the OEM CD.

Would love to get my hands on an MPC OEM Vista DVD!

Thanks big bunches if anything can be done with this. Smile

Replace BIOS logo with Apple logo

Could someone please change the BIOS logo from Compaq to Apple logo? There has been a huge topic on this and successful but for some reason I can not on my own and they edited a different model so it wont work for my laptop.

I have a Compaq Presario V6000 and using Phoenix BIOS Editor Pro, I can make all changes but once I rebuild the BIOS file nothing is changed once I reopen or even flash the file as if I made no changes at all.

Im very educated on these matters so I have no idea what im doing wrong other than to assume its Windows 8 that is stopping something.

If someone can please do this for me I would be grateful.

Proven ROM (Apple Logo) - not for my model

Thank you!

Current WiFi card: Intel ® WiFi Link 5100 AGN
Card to intstall: Intel Network 7260.HMWG WiFi Wireless-AC 7260

Current OS: win 8.1 64-bit

I just recently flashed to 7UET93WW, but didn't see a whitelist removal for t400. I did, however, see Sovern's mod for the T420. (didn't know if I could actually use that one...) I am a newbie at this, so go easy on me. Can someone give me some pointers for the next step? (And yes...there is a generous donation involved!!!) Big Grin

Thanx in advance!!!

Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO E3500

Latest BIOS R1.02 can be downloaded from here:
http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/download/S...9A9099C39E

This is a Phoenix 5 generation BIOS with not even a mention of SATA.
The motherboard use a i945G/GZ/P/PL Rev A2 and a 82801GB ICH7/R rev A1 Chipset.

I wanted to replace the 80GB HDD with an SSD add a discrete graphic card and install Windows 8.1 having AHCI to support TRIM would be nice Smile

Failing that, the system being preloaded with XP, the Pentium E2140 @ 1.6GHz being rather slow even with 4GB, it's going to be trashed.
