Hp CQ-56 134CA

Hi! I have a HP CQ56-134CA. Yesterday it gave a problem and I opened it and repaired it. But the major problem is that Its BIOS IC got shorted and the new IC which I am getting is blank. I want to flash the new IC with SPIPGM and need a bios file which should be in .bin format and should contain all ME and Descriptor regions so that I can program the new ic and get the laptop working back again.

Any Help would be appreciated...

Gigabyte GAEQ45 Unlock Bios Menu

Hi,
I have read many different threads about modding Award bioses and have made successful changes to various boards.
Right now, I am trying to change a GA EQ45MS2 rev 2.0 with Award v6.00PG Bios.
Its a dual bios motherboard from Gigabyte with Award bios.
CBROM seems to do his work right and I changed logo and many other things.
But... I cannot have a successful change of bios menus.
Modbin6.04.01 seems to create a correct bios structure after unlocking setup options but whenever I burn it to motherboard, it does not come to live again.
I have a small lab at home with soldering tools and have added a SOP8 ZIF socket to help me get board back to live.
I kept a copy of original bios chip contents and use an external flash recorder to restore bios back to life whenever needed.
But after all effort I cannot change a single setting on bios menu succesfuly.
Would anyone please help me with some steps I could take to change menu options?
We are pretty safe as if something goes wrong I can put former bios back in place in no time.
I just would like to be pointed out to a more sure direction as all attempts I made failed.
My guess is that modbin is currently creating a valid structure but the checksums do not match the other backup bios so system do not boot up (maybe, just a guess).
Another guess is that whenever I mess with DDR2 module bad things happen internally.
Could someone please give me a clue on how to proceed?

hi, can i get my whitelist removed. i got a 104 error i think after trying to put in my intel wireless ac-7260 into my laptop because it wont accept anything other than i think the railink card it came with.
heres a few links to the bioses because some are sp6xxxx and i heard they arent supported but a few are sp5xxxx and i know the risks etc. the highest version the better but i am not fussed.

Gateway DX4870 mod request

Hi there, looking to unlock any hidden menu items/options for the following bios:
Gateway DX4870 / Acer Aspire M1935 (same thing)
Latest bios is here: http://global-download.gateway.com/GDFil...Y&SC=PA_6G

By default, Kepler based graphics cards do not work on this bios, the machine was sold running windows 7, there was a version running windows 8 (same model number) that uses a different bios, disabling secure boot and setting launch CSM to "always" allows kepler based cards to run on that one, but no such options exist on this windows 7 version.

I have tried flashing the windows 8 bios to this machine and it fails unfortunately, gives an invalid checksum error!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

I have a Toshiba C850D-125 laptop and it's BIOS is probably corrupted.
If I turn it on without RAM he beeps the error code but even with RAM he doesn't boot image.

Can you guys help me prepare a BIOs recovery for this laptop?

Acer Aspire one AOD257 netbook black screen

Good afternoon. I have this netbook and it boots to a black screen.Have tried the traditional method of flashing with the usb stick by copying ze6.fd and another executable dos file to the root directory to no avail. Maybe the gurus here can point me in the right direction. I am just about sure that it is a flaky bios. Your help is appreciated.

Upgrading from T1350 to T2130 and limited BIOS

Phoenix R0034J4 (11/15/2006) the website lists a different date, but it's their last BIOS : http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/swu-downlo...roup_id=10

I wanted to upgrade from T1350 to T2130 to have virtualization (as well as a performance boost) on my backup laptop. After install the CPU, I learned that the Intel website was incorrect and it did not have VT-x. When I was looking in BIOS for virtualization, I noticed it did not have IDE, RAID, AHCI or much of anything.

I looked for an upgrade on the SONY website but that was the last BIOS update and I couldn't not find another anywhere else. I found instruction on how to modify Phoenix BIOS on MyDigitalLife, but it was dated 2009 and didn't know if it was relevant (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads...os-Files).

I want to learn how to modify, but don't know where to begin. I also took pics of my motherboard as well as BIOS screens but couldn't load them on here for some reason.

Hi guys. I need advanced menu in my BIOS. Every time a turn on laptop I am getting annoying error message about my hdd (It has bad sectors or something - not 100% health). I need to turn off SMART report from BIOS.

Good, attachment the bakup my BIOS in which I need to disable the TPM security device and charging it at the start and I have the key, but I have no option in the BIOS to disable it, if someone can edit the BiOS to appears directly disable the function or I'm going to thank, thank you very much

Was wondering if an unlock for the MS-7254 V.3 Existed and if an upgraded cpu microcode list was available... Wanted to use the spare Core 2 Quad I had in it for a stream/ media server. If it's possible to get it to run 2x2gb sticks of ram as well that would be great.

Hey all. First post -- conversely my first HP notebook and dealings with Insyde... ick.

I am running HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n091nr Notebook PC with bios rev F.12.
Heres is the bios update file location.

Im confused. (and also posted in the unlocked section by accident 1st)

I extracted the BIOS of this VAIO...and just read that I cant flash this one back.

Only original downloaded BIOS files can be flashed.

So, as there is no download for this laptop...maybe there is an alternative BIOS ?
(VGN-AR760U & VGN-AR730E & VGN-AR61ZRU & VGN-AR61M & VGN-AR61S seem to have the same BIOS (R2080J8)...but also only in extracted form)

But hippotek managed to combine a "real" bios and an extracted BIOS it seems :
inserting platform information from R0032J8 into R2080J8

Anyway, my Laptop is a :
-Core2Duo T5450 @1.67ghz
-Motherboard: SANTA ROSA CRB
-4gb RAM
-GeForce 8400M GT (128MB)

bios R2080J8 (12/26/2007) (SLiC 2.0)

dxdiag BIOS Ver 1.00PARTTBL
gpuz says 60.86.3b.00.27

The BIOS I extracted can be viewed and edited with Andys Phoenix tool and with the Phoenix Bios Editor Pro.
It also has the nvidia roms inside which can be edited using NiBiTor (6.0.6).

There are a lot of strings mentioning sub menus, thermal menus, multiplicators etc. and I wonder if these are all just string-remnants or if it can be all unlocked/activated/unhidden.

I wanted to be sure and put the extracted bios on a bootable floppydisk using plash16.exe. Result :

That doesnt look too promising...


Also I read about enabling virtualization :
In any case, register x0285 is the magic one for the AR730E/B with BIOS R2080JB.

That VAIO has the same BIOS...but ofc my CPU does not support VT. But it should be inside the BIOS then.(?)

Mod for GTX 750/750 Ti on Asus IBIBL-LB/Benicia-GL8E

I need a custom ROM so my Asus IBIBL-LB/Benicia-GL8E desktop motherboard so it will recognize modern video cards (nVidia GTX 750/750 Ti in particular). Would a mod just be for one family of cards or would it be up to date for everything? I would be willing to pay a reasonable bounty. The IBIBL-LB/Benicia-GL8E was used as an OEM board on HP's. Asus say they didn't design it, so there isn't much support. The newest ROM I could find is from 2009. http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11...p46442.exe The system already runs Windows 7 64 bit, so support for newer OS's isn't an issue.
