my i7 6700k has damaged core 0, maybe there is a way to disable this core? tho i can only disable them from top 3-2-1, but not 0 core. sheesh. maybe there is a possibility to change bios to trick it counting cpu's backwards?

Hi All,

Trying to get an unlocked version of the BIOS that came with my HP Envy x360 (2022 model).  I found a picture of what the Advanced tab should look like from someone who managed to do it (see attached) but I have been unsuccessful trying to unlock it on my own.  I can see all the other tabs listed in the screenshot.  Can anyone please help?

Hello,

i need some help to add chipset register 0D in a BIOS bin file.
It is regarding the beta BIOS from 05/28/2003 for EP-8KTA3+ Pro.

I tried it already with AWARD BIOS Editor but it resulted in bad checksum.

[Request] Fujitsu Futro S920 Thin Client: Enable IOMMU

Dear bios-modders,

I am searching for help and/or hints to get IOMMU working on this thin client ( Fujitsu Futro S920 - D3312-A13 3).
The goal is be able to passtrough PCIe ressources and use this little machine as lowpower virtualisation host with proxmox.
The SOC on this motherboard is a AMD GX-415GA which should be able to handle IOMMU for my understanding.

What I have done so far:
- update the board with the latest official bios version ( D3313-A1.rom)
- modifying the sections I found relating to virtualization with AMIBCPv4.55 ( I think mostly SVM mode was realvant here)
- update the board with AFUDOS and check results
- unfortuantely there is still no option to enabel IOMMU
- search for IOMMU relevant strings with AMIBCP with some founds ( only in the strings ) pls see attached pictures.

Thats where I stuck now and kindly want to ask for assistance.
Would it be possible for you to integrate the missing feature to this bios ?
Any hints are also higly welcome.

Well what to say . except I'm pissed
This laptop is nothing more than a nightmare. Lasy comes in and ask me to remove the password  on this Asus Vivobook x 705qa that she knows what password is. I say sure no problem . I type in the password  ( 2628) and ofc it lets me in BIOS. I go in the password section enter last password and leave it blank with confirm with enter. Bios say confirm password change and that is blank ok save exit.
And disaster. It asks for password on boot. none of the passwords work now , and i dont know what to do.
There is no BIOS dump anywhere for this model  and i cant flash it back.
I recovered the BIOS from it, and if anyone can help me asap it would be appreciated.
They leave the country soon, and there is a feeling in the air that i messed things up.

Hello

I have a DELL G 3579 A30P i7 8750h processor and I can't undervolt anymore.
I have bios 1.21.0
I followed the procedure on the website.

And when typing the command:

Hey,

As the title say I'd like to unlock my bios (American Megathrends FB06, 27.05.22020), to undervolt my CPU, but it seems like I don't have access to any menu that could help me.

I already took a look around and tried to access Grub shell, which Works.
And made a dump of my bios.

I don't know if this would work, or if it's even related to BIOS modding, but I want to spoof/change my DTM (display topology module) firmware so that MacOS would load the DTM (for AMD igpu support, which is in the works, and which I am trying to test); version 11 is known to work. My machine is a Asus TUF A15 from 2020, with a 4900H in it, and I already have an install, albeit without GPU acceleration
