add register 0D to BIOS bin file

Hello,

i need some help to add chipset register 0D in a BIOS bin file.
It is regarding the beta BIOS from 05/28/2003 for EP-8KTA3+ Pro.

I tried it already with AWARD BIOS Editor but it resulted in bad checksum.

[Request] Fujitsu Futro S920 Thin Client: Enable IOMMU

Dear bios-modders,

I am searching for help and/or hints to get IOMMU working on this thin client ( Fujitsu Futro S920 - D3312-A13 3).
The goal is be able to passtrough PCIe ressources and use this little machine as lowpower virtualisation host with proxmox.
The SOC on this motherboard is a AMD GX-415GA which should be able to handle IOMMU for my understanding.

What I have done so far:
- update the board with the latest official bios version ( D3313-A1.rom)
- modifying the sections I found relating to virtualization with AMIBCPv4.55 ( I think mostly SVM mode was realvant here)
- update the board with AFUDOS and check results
- unfortuantely there is still no option to enabel IOMMU
- search for IOMMU relevant strings with AMIBCP with some founds ( only in the strings ) pls see attached pictures.

Thats where I stuck now and kindly want to ask for assistance.
Would it be possible for you to integrate the missing feature to this bios ?
Any hints are also higly welcome.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX531GX BIOS function unlock

Hello guys,
Recently an issue wit ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX531GX happened - a soldered ram (8Gb) gone bad (memtests were made, thousands of errors with it and permanent crashes with "memory managment" error) making PC crash and I need to disable this broken thing somehow.
I was trying to disable DIMM0 with AMIBCP but the saved file at the end is not supported by EZ Flash 3 or WinFlash (which says it is not UEFI BIOS, dunno why).
At this case I suppose its only a sigle option to disable (isolate) damaged soldered ram via BIOS and proceed with valid 32 stick. Thus, BIOS doesn't have Extreme mode to do this.
I'll be greatfull if someone could kindly help me:

1. To unlock the DIMM disabling feature in BIOS.
or
2. To save BIOS with appropriate extension with already disabled DIMM0 to use with EZF3.

HP DV9500 F.34 Unlock&Whitelist

Hello guys. Need help with f.34 (sp52477) for HP DV9500 on AMD.
Here is already unlocked BIOS from AHMED HOSSAM, but it's with whitelist.

Hey,

As the title say I'd like to unlock my bios (American Megathrends FB06, 27.05.22020), to undervolt my CPU, but it seems like I don't have access to any menu that could help me.

I already took a look around and tried to access Grub shell, which Works.
And made a dump of my bios.

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and I need your help to be able to unlock my laptop bios, there is this problem: I cannot extract the bios dump, I am currently using Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0. My PC model is a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15-ach6 type 82K2. Bios installed: h3cn33ww EC V: H3EC33WW Type: UEFI only (I need to unlock the legacy functions to be able to boot the MBRs and not just GPT). currently it only boots in uefi mode and i can't get into legacy mode in any way, i also need support for RAID disks and not just AHCI. Then if possible also unlock all the other functions of the case, but only if possible, it is purely optional and appreciated as a thing but if it is not possible it does nothing, the final idea is to unlock all the functions that a PC can have. Can anyone help me? Do you need to provide you with some more data? Thank you so much!

Display topology module (DTM) firmware modding

I don't know if this would work, or if it's even related to BIOS modding, but I want to spoof/change my DTM (display topology module) firmware so that MacOS would load the DTM (for AMD igpu support, which is in the works, and which I am trying to test); version 11 is known to work. My machine is a Asus TUF A15 from 2020, with a 4900H in it, and I already have an install, albeit without GPU acceleration

Hi, would it be possible to add positive voltage adjustments for CPU-NB (I believe it's called Memory Controller Voltage in this case) to this board? Normally the only options are Auto and negative values. Thank you!

Asus X415JA laptop - hidden advanced settings on asus laptop

Greetings,
My Asus laptop X415JA with BIOS Aptio American megratrends inc (blue and gray standard bios) is not letting me change anything about ram settings.

So far, I have found how to change to an advanced mode (in the same Aptio American megratrends inc bios) but for some other brands like HP, ACER and MSI.
CONTROL + F1 will grant acces to more advanced settings in HP laptops.
Shift + Control + Alt + f2 will grant acces to more advanced settings in MSI laptops.
Pressing FN  + TAB 3 times in a row will grant acces to more advanced settings in Acer laptops.

Unfortunately, I have not found how to do it on ASUS laptops.
Does anyone know? or do I have to mod my BIOS?
My goal is to change the frecuency of my ram, curently stuck at 2333, even though my ram and cpu is 3200 capable (see attached cpu-z and windows images).

Thinkpad X260 6th gen BGA CPU upgrade to 7th/8th gen

Hi,
I have a Thinkpad X260 with an I3 6100U, I have experience with BGA soldering so I can replace the CPU. I know that 6th gen and 7th/8th gen share the same BGA package so an upgrade is "hardware compatible".
However I'm wondering about the bios support because it's a very special setup, unlike 8/9th gen CPU on 6/7th gen desktop board, the chipset/South bridge/PCH is "glued" to the CPU, that way if I want to upgrade my I3 6100U by an I7 8650U, the chipset/South bridge/PCH is also upgraded in the process... Sadly the 51nb forum is currently (temporary) down/closed so I can't check there.

Any idea about the process ? I guess since the package is the same, maybe the chipset/South bridge/PCH is just a newer revision or maybe only new naming, that way only a microcode update is necessary ?

Also I'm thinking maybe upgrading an X270/7th gen board to 8th gen CPU might be easier since they share the SAME architecture (Kaby Lake) but still use a different chipset/South bridge/PCH.

I can't do a bios dump by myself currently - bios backup toolkit doesn't work in my case Sad

What I would love to see: Unlocked advanced settings like: undervolting, fan settings, RAM allocating fro iGPU / or so called "second hidden advanced tab"
Current bios settings are so "poor" :/
