Hi guys,

Reading through this forum I thought that would be impossible to change the bios of my machine. Here was a discussion between one of the admins (camiloml) and one guy (delweine) who had the same issue like myself:

This discussion ended up with some but not complete solution. I have to apologize to camiloml though... No offense, mate but I would really want to know if there are any solutions to mod completely this bloody laptopAngry
If any info requests, I have done a complete review of my laptop with PC Wizard in 2012 and I can upload it here...

Hi,

I already use a modded bios thanks for you guys, but im having this situation here.

My laptop have a Temperature Threshold on my GPU on 75 degrees to start throttling. Weird cuz a few months back it was on 95, is there a way to have a modded bios that can change that?

My bios version: 1.26 MODDED
Video Card: RADEON 6550M

HP Elitebook 820 G1 (vendor's mistake, came without wifi, to replace with the correct unit will take at least 3 months).

Wifi Card that will be use (taken from HP Probook 4440s ) :

I've made a backup with Unversal BIOS backup tool 2.0.

As far as I know it can be modded and flashed because it's Ivy Bridge. Haswell has the bios write protection stuff.

Can someone mod the bios for an HP DV3507ea please, I want to replace the stock 5100AGN with an Intel ac 7260.

Need to hack bios to allow video cards on pci-e 1x slots.

Those jerks at Dell block video cards on both pci-x and pci-e cards slots. So I cannot add a video card that will work for photoshop cs5-6 on the OS. It won't detect the card on bootup.

I have a specific video card that is pci-e 1x that will work on this system which is compatible with windows 2008r2

System: poweredge 6800

Sony VGN-SR45H Battery Restrictions

I have a Sony VGN-SR45H that I purchased an aftermarket battery for. The BIOS will not allow it to charge the battery. I was hoping somepne could help me unlock the BIOS. I have mmtool, amibcp, and RW on the laptop, and have saved the current rom file using amiflash. I also have what I think is an update file from sony, but the laptop is from China, so I had to google translate the Chinese pages to get it so I am not sure if it is right.

I think they are the same, the version numbers are the same.

Could someone either unlock the battery charging capability so that I can use a non OEM battery, or direct me what to change using the mmtool or amibcp software I already have? Any other unlocks I have would be awesome as well, thanks!

Hello,

i need to change the UUID of some clients, because the mainboard manufacturer wrote on all boards the same UUID and I cannot install something with our software packaging System.

So I need to change the UUID.
I've tried it with several programs like dmicfg but it seams the bios is write-protected.


Board: Commell MS-C73 V2.0
BIOS: Phoenix SecureCoreTiano

I've tried to open the Bios File(C7320.bin) with phoenix Bios editor, the editor cant open the file.

Did someone has an idea?
