Dell Precision M4600 bios unlock help

Hello there,

Im Jerry and just new here. A friend of my told me that maybe someone
here can help me with an unlocked bios for Dell Precision M4600.
I would appriciate it if someone can unlock this for me.

Dell E5450 nvidia 830M not detected

Hello,

I have a Dell E5450 with a dedicated GPU on the motherboard. I took it apart and checked: there are both the GPU and the RAM chips on the motherboard.

Going by Service TAG, the configuration is listed as having: 338-BFGQ : Intel Core i5-5300U Processor Base for additional Security, NVIDIA GeForce 830M 2G Discret e GPU

However, the GPU is not detected in either the BIOS or in any version of Windows (XP/ Vista, 7, 8.1, 10). System is 100% stable.
I have even tried all BIOS versions, from A05 to A23 to A02 and back.

I know that 99.9% of laptop manufacturers always push the video display through the dedicated GPU so that the system is built to fail a.k.a. even if you never use the dedicated GPU, if it fails, you will see artifacts / glitches/ crashes on your display even when only using the Intel iGPU.
Is this that 0.1%? Does such a thing exists?

The nvidia GPU on the motherboard gets hot = it gets power.
Also, in Dell Diagnostics, Video Thermistor shows up but all values are n/a.

Inspection with a magnifying glass didn't show any reball/reflow attempts.
I have no idea what to do. The system works fine, it's just not seeing the nvidia 830M, at both the BIOS and OS level.

Please help with this issue. Thank you!

Hello,
I need the Advanced Bios Options unlocked in this bios. All advanced options would be nice, but the power options would be sufficient (Laptops has problems with the cpu voltage, so it seems in enhanced c-state, or so it seems).
I flash bios with hardware programmer, so no need for RSA Signing. I already created IFR extracor file of Setup Utility PE32, but I can´t unlock Advanced menu.
Any help much apreciated.

Hello!

I have an Acer G9-793 that I would like to unlock the Advanced BIOS menu for. I mostly want to enable AHCI but as a power user, the additional settings sure would be helpful.

I am a technical person but I haven't been able to dig up the relevant information regarding the offsets that need to be changed (in a reasonable amound of time). SO... here I am posting for help from an expert Smile

I have my BIOS dumped. I believe this is the correct file that is needed for modding? I also have the clip/programmer on hand and understand how to use it.

Please let me know what else would be needed from me to have this done. I appreciate this community and have been lurking here for a while. Wink

Hi, please help me unlock CFG Lock and unhide Advanced menu! I'm trying to install Hackintosh but some hidden features cause me so many troubles.

Specifications:
Lenovo Thinkpad E15
Intel Core i5-10210U 1.6GHz
Intel UHD Graphics
BIOS Phoenix UEFI version R16ET27W (1.13) on Jul 27, 2020

Here is BIOS bin I extracted from the exe file using 7-zip. I tried to use Intel FPT both in DOS and Windows but failed. I'm not sure this file is enough but if not please instruct me how to dump in other way.

Hi, i have msi760gm E51 (fx) AM3 Motherboard and opteron 3365 2.3 ghz stock 3.3ghz turbo cpu.
So my problem is this cpu not fully compatible with this motherboard. Stucked in 2.3ghz stock 2.6ghz turbo frequancy. Multiplier is stucked also in 13.5 (max 16.5). And the voltage stucked around 1v. There is alot of motherboard suffering this problem. But the Asus M5A78L-M LE motherboard can work in full load 3.3 ghz. (16.5 multiplier 1.4v) can we do any bios upgrade for this ?
Also both of these motherboards have same chipset's.

Good day.
Please, help me to replace Logo.

I have tried to use PhoenixTool and UEFITool.
PhoenixTool found logo only in Padding_1476.ROM.
I tried insert my wallpaper with HEX-editor, but I received only black screen.
UEFITool found EVSA entry "SplashLogoPackage".
I think, I have to replace its body header, but I don't know, What I should write.
Body header:
3566 - size
00060C0000000000000018 - constant part of all version BIOSes
E816 - important part (may be checksum)
0000 - constant part
Maybe Someone knows, What does Important part mean?

Hello,
I have this old laptop lying , and i have set the BIOS password and cant remember the same now.
I have tried to short the pins with whatever documentation I got, but did not help.
I have now dumped the exiting BIOS , if someone can help me remove the password or reveal the password from the dump file.

X58 microcode/uncore bug

He guys,

Few weeks ago now i got a msi eclipse x58 mobo. With some help i got my xeon running in it. Just one last problem, it has the pretty well know uncore bug. Now i got some help here: https://www.win-raid.com/t7173f54-x-ecli...#msg125317
Yet I have not been able to figure out if i can solve the uncore problem. Since a update to the microcode should solve this issue, afther revision 13 it should be solved. At least that is what i have learned, and so far i got no reason to doubt that. Yet the new microcode is to long to inject onto my bios with mmtool. The old microcode is just 0x2000 long yet the new one is 0x2400 long. Now i have looked up how to trim with a hex editor but this seems impossible because the last 400 hex values do contain data (which is not the case for the 2000 long code, which has 400 empty values...). Could one of you help me out? ALso im not sure the  bios would function with a different microcode size, maybe one of you know?

My laptop comes with 10750H and it has locked undervolting due to Plundervolt vulnerability. However I still wish to undervolt via XTU, is that possible? Someone please guide me.

I have tried dumping BIOS file and opening it in I am unable to open the dump BIOS file in AMIBCP but it says 'Language name present in rom exceeds 0x08 in lengh. Setup tap and bios string tab will not be shown'

LENOVO IdeaPad Z585 Problem

Hi there...

may be is not the right section... but i want the help of your community...

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z585 - that worked ok - some day all "off" - screen not light at all..

I ve just reflow the board - and suddenly get light at my screen but no boot + no lenovo logo too :-( - wanted to get into bios ... but pressing the novo button taking the nono menu but when selection to get into Bios Settings... just a bright light screen nothing at all...

So i understand that something bricked the bios... tried with win crisis - formatted the disk at FAT and run wincrisis (winxp sp3 mode) - replug in usb stick... download from lenovo support the latest bios and run it at other computer / get into temp and copy the .cap file /rename it to bios.wph... copy to flash disk...

tried the fn+B... with win+B and +R ... nothing... just a bright screen....

and IDEA ????

I need somebody to unlock my bios for Amd-v.
