[REQUEST] AAEON EMB-QM77 unlock (Asus industrial mobo)

Hello, I'd want to request some help to unlock options/menus in this motherboard. It is an industrial motherboard made by asus, and uses sandybridge/ivybridge mobile cpus. Bios was dumped by FPT.

I use this for my nas/server and am trying to get lsi raid/hba card to be detected off the mini pcie slot through an mini pcie to pcie riser. The card works off 1x pcie on another computer. And have tested two other raid cards off the mini pcie to pcie riser and they get detected on boot. Seems to be something with this specific lsi raid card and this motherboard bios. I believe there is some pcie bios options that are hidden that can get this card to work.

Really appreciate any assistance or perhaps a pointer on how I can unlock the options on my own. Thanks!

[REQUEST] Asus eee PC 1001PX / R101 Recover on Power Loss

Hi all,

I'm new here and came across this forum while googling and looking for options to mod the BIOS of a 1001PX/R101.

Just to put a bit of context, I had on of these 1001px laying around and have recycled the mobo to be my home router using OpenWRT. I removed the internal mini PCI-E wlan card, and bough a dual gigabit port realtek mini PCI-E card. It works like a charm and performs well, but it doesn't have the "Recover on Power Loss" option on the BIOS so it turns automatically on after a power outage.

Is there any way to add this setting to the BIOS ? Can anybody point me to the right direction ?

Right now running the latest version from the website https://www.asus.com/Laptops/Eee_PC_1001...Desk_BIOS/

Hello,
Is it possible to modify bios to change discrete gpu voltage? mobile fermi chips don`t allow to change it through any utilities, i used phoenixtool to extract bios settings module: FE3542FE-C1D3-4EF8-657C-8048606FF670_819.ROM, opened it with Universal IFR Extractor, but didn`t find voltages there, also extracted videomodule 05F7AA70-A64A-432C-8CEE-4CDECB8671D7_1870.ROM and there wasn`t any settings at all, maybe i`m looking wrong places i have ch341a so flashing isn`t a problem.
Thanks in advance.
Here`s rar with full bios, extracted settings module and videomodule.

AMD Ryzen Motherboard Crossflashing Thread (ASUS, ASRock etc)

$

Hi All,

Just wanted to share some experiences on crossflashing Ryzen Motherboards, such as ASUS & ASRock.

ASUS Prime B450M-K - Successfully crossflashed to ASUS TUF-B450M Pro Gaming

How? I downloaded the TUF Gaming BIOS, extracted the UEFI Image from the Aptio Capsule (.CAP) file, this can be done from UEFI Tool, then used afuwin64 to first flash a stock compatible BIOS (.CAP) file, this will flash a stock UEFI, but then will allow us to flash a modified (Or stock but crossflashed) bios.rom we extracted earlier by using afuwin64 bios.rom /GAN straight after, and voila, board has now been crossflashed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Please do not attempt crossflashing your motherboard UNLESS you are competent in recovering your BIOS in case anything goes wrong, anything done is at your own risk.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, over to my X570 ASRock Phantom Gaming 4 motherboard.

There is a vulnerability / exploit in the P3.* BIOSes, for the Phantom series, as well as the Pro and Taichi line too.

P2.* is unaffected.

Instant Flash on P3.* bioses will ONLY check the file name of the BIOS file, and does not check the actual file for the correct model - I managed to successfully crossflash my X570 Phantom Gaming 4 with the Taichi, Phantom Gaming X, and Pro4 versions without any issue

For example, my ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4's latest BIOS is P3.00 (As of July 2020), and the file name is X570PG43.00. (X570 | Phantom Gaming 4 | 3.00)

The ASRock X570 Pro4 uses X570P43.00 (Literally only the G removed from the name) I renamed it to X570PG43.00, and what do you know, it flashed without issue.

The ASRock Phantom Gaming 4 uses the exact same PCB as the Pro4, the only difference apart from cosmetics is the extra USB C connection on the back, theoretically both BIOSes will have the same features, I however prefer the theme layout of the Pro4 BIOS instead

The X570 Steel Legend also shares its PCB with the X570 Extreme4 - so I'd assume those BIOSes can be interchanged as well.

P2.* versions of Instant Flash did not have this issue, and would report “Invalid file”

If anyone who has BIOS experience and is able to recover BIOSes able to crossflash their Ryzen boards to see which are compatible?

Current confirmed BIOS crossflashing capability

ASRock: X570 Phantom Gaming 4 -> X570 Pro4
               X570 Steel Legend -> X570 Extreme4

ASUS: Prime B450M-K -> TUF B450M-Pro Gaming

Hello. can someone create a whitelist removal mod for me?

BIOS FILE: https://dl.dell.com/FOLDER06151025M/1/In...70_125.exe

I am not sure, but I think that this is the PCI ID: PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0042&SUBSYS_18101028&REV_31

I think that the BIOS isn't RSA signed but I am not sure. if someone can approve it that will be awesome.

Thank you very much.

Hello Everyone,

  I wanted to upgrade my Dell Vostro 3446 WLAN card to a 5GHz card QCA9733. I brought it from aliexpress the card is ok, working on another laptop but it is not detected in my Vostro 3446. I don't know if my laptop has a WLAN whitelist embedded into it's BIOS. I backed up the BIOS using AMI-AFUWIN and also downloaded exe bios update then extract the BIOS it using "3446a15.exe /writeromfile" to 3446a15.rom. Then extracted the whole BIOS using Andy's Phoenix/Dell/EFI SLIC Mod Tool v2.58. Then everything is extracted into TEMP folder I opened up every single .BIOS file with WinHex and searched for PCIe VID and PID but no luck. I used these hex values:

One strange thing I've tried. I read on a Reddit forum that if we put the card into the laptop after the laptop completely booted into the Operating System, the card might work. Guess what it is working but every reboot or a fresh start the WiFi card is gone and black listed by BIOS.

Hello Dudu2002. Last year I asked you to unlock the advanced menu via the bios of my Acer e5-574g-75ME I Confused placed the order, dumped the original from the machine and sent it to you. I received the unlocked bios and reported at the time a slow issue especially in Windows, at startup, restart and shutdown ... and also crashes and problems with mouse and touch pad in the hackintosh. Huh Now I asked a friend to examine his dump that I had recorded he finds some flaws with the corrupted Intel ME. Undecided .and other incomplete data. I'll attach. It's been almost a year and I could ask you to repair your work done to me? I trust your reputation for nomination. Thanks Exclamation
