I"m trying to modify my bios but cant flash bios due to HP signing. is there a signing program or a way to push my modded bios to my laptop. what im trying to do is increase my VRAM from 1GB to 2GB dedicated.

Bricked Asus fixed but no network

I have an older Asus P8P67 rev 3.0 motherboard.  I tried to upgrade the bios using ez-flash and it bricked the computer.  Afterwards I did the following:

  1. Pulled the socketed chip and dumped the bricked bios.
  2. Downloaded the latest bios from Asus.
  3. Used fd44editor to transfer the mac address and serial number to the new bios.
  4. Couldn’t find a system uuid sticker so I made one up (no 00’s or ff’s).
  5.  Programmed and reinstalled the chip. 
  6.  Reset the bios to optimum defaults.
Afterwards the computer seems to work ok.  However, the motherboard’s network jack is not working.  There are no errors in device manager but it can’t get an ip address from dhcp and won’t work with a static address.  I tried both linux and windows os but neither worked.
Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

Dead bios maybe

My laptop doesn't boot to any window
Power button blinks
Only boots to bios recovery when i press win+b+power button
Restore of the time it's dead

The bios recovery tries to recover it... everything gets completed but again then it shuts down.

My laptop is Hp 15-n261TX

Hello everyone, I hope you have a good day. I come here for general help for 2 questions.
first there is discord community?
This page has good potential.
Another is that I have a PC that my government gave me as a rubbish plan for us to vote and so on ... and that was thought to be used for studies being this very limited for it, they were updating it every year to take out 7 models of which the 2 The last ones are worthwhile in quotes for me the only one that serves is the last model and I have the 6 model.
I would like to know how I can make a backup of the bios or create a copy of the bios in windows since I don't have a logical flash drive or a logical programmer.
I don't have the bios but a person from my country started uploading the bios and I would like to know if they can unlock it since at its point it has no option has 2 or 3 per menu and there are really things that I want to deactivate since its performance is not so good.
Greetings to all I will leave here the bios of the model that the user shares said before that it is for a specific model of the motherboard of the same.

I do not know where to put this post since I do not know if it is ami or any other bios just says system nothing more.

hello today I come to ask if you can see if this bios has more options or hidden options because I want to see what else can be investigated and other things like when I updated the bios 2 sata ports and an Esata port did not work anymore after everything else works and the PC always throws me an error when starting which is quite annoying and I already tried to solve it leaving it without the battery by deleting the bios and updating again but nothing has been achieved and the central clock the bclk is at 96.6 I think instead of 100, and I heard that this is because the bios is spent little by little or is gradually degrading what seems logical to me but well I thought that updating the bios would be solved and I found in another post that it is necessary to flash it completely with a logical tester I think that is called.

It is always at 2.75 for there is the processor never at 2.80 as a brand, all energy saving technologies are disabled and I have turbo boost for now disabled.
Another thing I would like to know if the hpet can be disabled in any way, I think that is how it is said to perform performance tests.
For some reason, my processor heats up to 90 degrees all the time. It is also another matter since I changed the thermal paste and thoroughly cleaned it stays at 60 degrees at rest without loading and when I open for example a game rises to 99 degrees and change the heatsink And nothing the same.
Here I leave the BIOS that I currently have to download them because intel with its new reform to erase all the drivers and old pc stuff will take them out so I save them and share them.

HP DV6 3040SA BIOS chip location

I have a HP DV6-3040SA that will not power up and I am trying to locate the BIOS chip on the mainboard for replacement or reprogramming

The only likely device I can find is marked CFEON F16-100HIP, which I believe to be EN25F16.

I have removed it and read the contents in my eprom programmer but it does not match the file from HP's website in any way, nor in size.

Can anyone advise if I have removed the correct chip, which was located on the mainboard under the wi-fi module.

Hi awesome people,

Both my Main and Backup BIOS on my Gigabyte GA-Z77P-D3 got corrupted. I would like to attempt a BIOS reflash using the CH341A USB BIOS flasher but I can only download the .exe BIOS file from Gigabyte's website. Can someone please provide me with a compatible/converted flashable BIOS files from the Gigabyte BIOS files attached/linked below?

Hey, guys. I have a problem. I have a program that is tied to the mac address and serial number of the motherboard. The motherboard is dead. I have the same motherboard. I was able to change the serial number of the motherboard. But I can't change the mac address. Can't find the rom file in HEX editor.

Hello,

Can you Please help with a mod for a dell alienware area-51m laptop? The UEFI is gray and it can't be switched to legacy, also the computrace is enabled by default and I Cannot deactivate it. I'm new here and I don't really know if i need to give more information, not even how it works.

Hello!

I currently have a HP computer with a HP Leonite motherboard, which has an unlocked Core 2 Extreme X6800 processor. The most the board will support. I was wondering if anyone could take the time to add in overclocking options to the BIOS. I really want to squeeze as much performance as I can out of it. I have tried Clockgen & Setfsb, but both barely make a difference. Since I am so desperate, anyone who can successfully get overclocking functionality working in the motherboard, can expect a generous donation of up to $10 to their PayPal account.

Microcode Update for HP Compaq DC7900 (786G1) to support Q6600 (4 cores in general)

Hello, dear community.
Not a while ago I stumbled upon on a peculiar problem with my DC7900 USDT. Against all odds and specification from HP, I have managed to upgrade my Dual core E8400 cpu to a Quad Core Q6600. The pc is working flawlessly and there is a really noticable boost performance after the upgrade.
However there is a little hiccup, every time I restart the pc or Power it ON a warning error 1801 Microcode Update Error pops up and the pc does not boot till I push the F1 Button. It is really annoying and frustrating. So here is my question: 
Is there anyway to update the bios with the latest  QUAD CORE Microcodes, because I am already using the latest produced bios from HP and I even updated the firmware and microcodes for my pc from their support page, but it does not seems to affect in anyway the presented problem. I am starting to wonder, that maybe HP excluded these quad core microcodes from their USDT models on purpose. So you are my last hope to help me solve this problem and to achieve one really great success on 4 core upgrades to DC7900 USDT, an upgrade which was impossilble till now.

[Request] HP ProDesk 400 G1 Mini BIOS options unlock/unhide (Aptio 4/H81)

Hello,

I successfully used the UBU-Tool to extract the Setup Forms. But I need some help to unhide/activate some of the options I found inside the BIOS:

a) PCIe ASPM global settings: 0x3596E, 0x47058
b) DDR3 Voltage Selection: 0x438DF, 0x5D4F0
c) remove TDP Lock, currently fixed at 35Watt: no idea where/how
d) Package power limit lock (for c) to work?): 0x365BB, 0x49C09
e) change Fan Idle Mode (0x64C7E) default/first step to a lower idle value (currently step 0 is @1000rpm) or OFF option.

It looks like all the stuff is in the Setup (actually sometimes twice?), but hidden/locked in the running BIOS. But the Fan Idle Mode is in there only once. I used AMIBCP 4.55.0070 so far, but the Forms do not load in it, lots of empty slots.

Also most of the settings are in there twice? Why?
