Problems Update BIOS HP Prodesk 400 G1 DM

Hi @ all,

i have some problems with updating my BIOS from a HP Prodesk 400 G1 DM.
I bought the HP a few days ago, arrived at saturday.
The BIOS Version is a old version from 2016.
On the website from HP there are a lot of newer versions for this modell. Checked with serial and part number.

My BIOS Version looks funny and is not like the versions on the website.
See informations file attached.

My BIOS Version said: BIL_80.19

On the Website, there are only BIL_02.XX!

I think that actually its a custom bios.

I tried to install the new BIOS file over the BIOS "Flash ROM".
But i get a message, that its not compatible. "Incompatible rom image"

Tried to flash the image using fpt (dos version) and it shows a message "PDR Region does not exist."
I also have errors "Error 7: Hardware sequencing failed. Make sure that you have access to target flash area!"

Can someone help to remove the custom BIOS please?

Unlock Lenovo V330 IKB Language Selection

Hi Guys.

Do you now any way to make visible in the Setup Utility the "Language Selection" option? I don't see it in the IFR export ( using Universal IFR Extractor ), neither in the vars export (using H2OVE).

MSI GS63VR 7RF unlock bios with fan control

My bios is already unlocked to a certain extent, but I have no fan control. This is essential for my hackintosh. My hackintosh is working properly on catalina, but under load the fans barely ramp and it thermal throttles even with liquid metal application. Is it possible to unlock the fan control from BIOS? the bios version is E16K2IMS.31B, downloadable directly from the MSI website. I've tried multiple fan control applications on MAC and none of them recognize my fans. on windows with MSI dragoncenter under load I'm hitting high 70's only under load which is perfect. I believe the reason its thermal throttling in MAC OS is because I disabled the GTX1060 because it's not compatible, which also disables the dual fans connected to the same heat spreader used by the CPU. It would be amazing if I could run the GPU fans and CPU fans without the GTX 1060 enabled VIA bios. Any help or information on the topic would be greatly appreciated.

Bricked Asus fixed but no network

I have an older Asus P8P67 rev 3.0 motherboard.  I tried to upgrade the bios using ez-flash and it bricked the computer.  Afterwards I did the following:

  1. Pulled the socketed chip and dumped the bricked bios.
  2. Downloaded the latest bios from Asus.
  3. Used fd44editor to transfer the mac address and serial number to the new bios.
  4. Couldn’t find a system uuid sticker so I made one up (no 00’s or ff’s).
  5.  Programmed and reinstalled the chip. 
  6.  Reset the bios to optimum defaults.
Afterwards the computer seems to work ok.  However, the motherboard’s network jack is not working.  There are no errors in device manager but it can’t get an ip address from dhcp and won’t work with a static address.  I tried both linux and windows os but neither worked.
Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

Chinese motherboard BIOS flash locked after flash

So I have a JINGSHA X79 v1.1.

I flashed the mod BIOS but now flashing is locked:

"the host cpu does not have write access to the target flash area"

I tried BCLK_SEL jumper on board and disable Intel ME. No luck.

Can anyone help? It seems that this was intentional by whoever made the original BIOS, someone named Aleksey Dankov.

Also, Russian is not my native language so I missed the part where it says "An important nuance: after flashing the modified version, the native bios can only be returned by the programmer."

AMI Bios - UBU Tool - File Not Found

Just starting to dip my toes in here...

I have a motherboard with an AMD A300 chipset and an AMI bios.  I figured UBU Tool v1.76.0.1 would be able to extract the bios files but when I run the .bin, all that I get in the command window is "file not found".  Does this mean UBU does not work with my motherboard?  Am I missing something?  If it doesn't work, what other tool can I use?

I need help about LG Xboom PK5 bluetooth speaker firmware

Hello,

Been following this forum for a while as a reader, I guess software geeks might help me about this;
got an LG Xboom PK5 portable bluetooth speaker which is a sample unit (says  Not for sales" on the box and also on speaker) and because of this  basic functions like working on battery, volume adjustment and some special features are software blocked, unit runs at full volume at all times and can only work with charger, even when battery is full.
What I wanna say is if I share the firmware dump here can someone fix these issues, I reflash this firmware back to my speaker so I can use it like any normal unit sold in stores ?
Let me know if that's possible please

Bios intel Requests

I do not know where to put this post since I do not know if it is ami or any other bios just says system nothing more.

hello today I come to ask if you can see if this bios has more options or hidden options because I want to see what else can be investigated and other things like when I updated the bios 2 sata ports and an Esata port did not work anymore after everything else works and the PC always throws me an error when starting which is quite annoying and I already tried to solve it leaving it without the battery by deleting the bios and updating again but nothing has been achieved and the central clock the bclk is at 96.6 I think instead of 100, and I heard that this is because the bios is spent little by little or is gradually degrading what seems logical to me but well I thought that updating the bios would be solved and I found in another post that it is necessary to flash it completely with a logical tester I think that is called.

It is always at 2.75 for there is the processor never at 2.80 as a brand, all energy saving technologies are disabled and I have turbo boost for now disabled.
Another thing I would like to know if the hpet can be disabled in any way, I think that is how it is said to perform performance tests.
For some reason, my processor heats up to 90 degrees all the time. It is also another matter since I changed the thermal paste and thoroughly cleaned it stays at 60 degrees at rest without loading and when I open for example a game rises to 99 degrees and change the heatsink And nothing the same.
Here I leave the BIOS that I currently have to download them because intel with its new reform to erase all the drivers and old pc stuff will take them out so I save them and share them.

Any help would be appreciated, I have been trying to search on where to start, but new to this so unsure what to do. I attached of what it shows in CPU-Z. Hello maybe it is possible that someone can look over the Bios file if there is any possibility to unlock something. I find the standard Bios is extreme locked, maybe there is a chance to modificate the cpu fan? The model is from the igg campaign and the service from Chuwi is really bad about a custom Bios.
