[Unlock Request] HP Pavilion 15 cc123cl insyde f.32 bios advanced menu

Hello can anyone point me in the right direction, I am trying to find an unlocked Bios or a way to access the advanced settings on my bios,
the computer info is below

HP Pavilion 15 CC123-CL

BIOS Version/Date Insyde F.32, 5/10/2019

I inserted the Bios download link, I would really appreciate any help/advice. Thanks in advanced!

Asus eee pc 1015pn AMI Bios Editor cannot open bios File

Hello,

Iam trying to modify the Bios of the eee 1015pn from Asus, but AMIBCP v4.53 always says "Couldn´t open the file"
I want to ask if someone here knows how to solve this problem. The Bios version i try to modify is 0701

Possible I7 in a S20 MOBO

Hello to all Big Grin , I am somewhat new to bios modding so I'm sorry if I make any mistake while asking this question.  So I have a Lenovo S20 with a 71Y8820 mobo and I heard, in theory, that it would be possible for upgrading the Xeon Processor to a Core i7. However I am aware that the bios does not support the CPU so it would not work. So my question is, would it be possible in using the processor through modding the bios or is there just overall a missing important component for that type of CPU to run in the computer. 
I have also checked the Socket Type and can verify the i7 could fit in my computer and that the TDW won't burn out the PSU.

Help unlocking FSB on conroe865pe

Currently working on an OC bios for conroe865pe, so far I've been able to successfully add cpu microcode using mmtool, and I can look at the bios options and unlock hidden options using AMIBCP. However I've yet to find a way to unlock the limit on what FSB you can set. Currently it only allows you to set between 66-300 in bios, which it does 300 fsb easily. Would like to change the range on this setting so that it can be set up to at least 400 (this chipset has never been recorded to run above 350 so should be sufficient) however I'm not sure where to start. Could someone point me towards a program to adjust the range of this setting? AMIBCP seems to be mostly centered around what text is displayed in the bios without allowing to adjust the settings that it actually ties back to.

So all I needed was a download on this forum which has been lost on the wider web due to bit rot.  The mods here decided I need an account to download and even after I create a throwaway email and register and click the [censored] link I still have to wait 30 min for "full activation".  So since the mods decided to waste my time I am going to waste theirs.

spi programmer not reading chip correctly

i am modding my thinkpad x230 tablet, and already have read the bios and gotten it modded (chip # mx25L3206E.  My ch341a software was deciding that the chip was not connected only when I was most sure it was.  After reading some guides, i isolated pin 8 and that's what got me here. I used the ch341a software to try to write with pin 8 isolated, and it cant for some reason.  If I bring back pin 8 it still has the old issue.  do i have a wrong voltage?  is my programmer broken?

Hello i have a problem pairing this motherboard with this GPU. At first when i installed the gpu it hanged on the mobos logo. Then i disabled the logo , the pc booted to windows but hangs on ami bios logo for a long time. Here are my motherboards and gpu bios plus some pictures.Can you help me?

what I basically need is to turn off acer dust defender once and for all from the bios and if possible unlocking any cpu features would be apperciated

my laptop model is Acer Predator 17 X , GX-792

HP t730 Thin Client needs Setup Password to access BIOS

Hello forum,

I'm new to system building and I'm learning everyday...

Here's the story: I bought a t730 Thin Client (without an OS) brand new still in the box, but from an eBay'r... I know... mistake #1.

I thought I did my homework and really checked to be sure the unit was new and in the unopened original packaging before purchasing. When I received it, sure enough it was still sealed in the original box. I opened it up and it all appeared new and un-disturbed. Everything was there. Plastic wrap, documentation, mouse, keyboard. Looks legit to me.
 
When I booted it up for the first time, immediately it launched into something called eLux (some kind of hardware-independent operating system for cloud computing environments). So that prompted me to try to access the BIOS to change the boot order to re-image the SSD to my liking. I rebooted it and pressed f10  to access the BIOS and bingo... there was an "Enter Setup Password" message. I checked all the documentation in the box and there was nothing. I thought this was odd, so I called HP. They walked me through a series of troubleshooting tips but nothing worked. Eventually they recommended I return it from where I bought it because they could not assist. I reached out to the eBay'r I purchased from and of course they will not accept the return... it's now an opened box. I'm at the end of my wits dealing with this thin client. This was supposed to be a simple build... not a massive headache!

My goal for the t730 was to build a pfSense router... but without BIOS access, I cannot update the bios to accept my 4 port NIC and make other changes like boot order, device config and password options.

I've tried the following (multiple times) according to HP's troubleshooting guide, Resetting the Setup and Power-on passwords by following the instructions of pages 49-50 of the troubleshooting manual (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05348283).

I've tried all the default passwords for AMI, HP, HP/Compaq... Still nothing....

Specs:

AMI 2.17.1246
HP L43 v55.08 (00.01.12 Rev.A)

Can someone recommend a solution? Any insight you can provide is greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to replace a LG GRAM z980's normal screen to a touchscreen. I use the original touchscreen panel of the touchscreen-edition of the laptop. According to my review, all editions of the laptop are using the same motherboard, just different in screen, ram and etc.

The touchscreen panel can display successful, but its touch function doesn't work. I got an HID I2C error code 10 in Windows Device Manager, it says the device cannot start.

I've tried all software way to fix it but never works. So I guess it might be a bios problem, maybe the bios detects my laptop is not a touchscreen edition, so it turns the touchscreen off.

So is there any possible to mod the bios to fix the problem? I'd like to pay you if you can help me.

Thinkad X1 Extreme TDP Limit change

Hi I was wondering if it's possible to change the TDP limit for the i7-8750H inside the Thinkpad X1 Extreme from 80C to around 95C when Hyper-V (and VT-d) is enabled.

Apparently some kind of "Embedded controller" keeps resetting the setting the MSR_TEMPERATURE_TARGET  register to 0x14 instead of the usual 0x03 or so every 5 secs. While it's possible to reset it from within LINUX, it needs to be done repeatedly every 5 secs. If Hyper-V is enabled under Windows 10, it's not possible to change, because the kernel suddenly does not have access to that register. Hence the request to modify the BIOS.

Related questions: assuming someone can do this change in a professional way,
1. Will it void my warranty? Is it provable that I have flashed a custom BIOS, even if I revert to a stock BIOS later (see question below)?
2. After flashing a custom BIOS, is it possible to upgrade to a newer 'stock' bios?
3. How much for this work + unlocking the advanced settings (BTW: can anyone post a screenshot to see what is in the advanced section - if it's of any interest for me). I do have the necessary eq to DUMP the BIOS, although haven't done it yet.

Hey guys i know the bios chip is re-write protected so i need a SPI-programmer+SOIC8 clip which im currently still waiting on from amazon. do i need this hardware to make the intial Bios Dump? Im going to replace the heat sink and upgrade the fans, so i was hoping to get into the bios to unlock the turbo-boost for my intel cpu.

HP DV7 6163CL - BIOS RECOVERY - NEED SOME HELP

Hello there.

A few years ago I flashed a bios from camiloml with advanced menus enabled on my hp dv7 6163cl, and changed what I needed to change and never even entered my bios for a few years.

Last week, I was working on my notebook, and after I was done I turned it off normally, by selecting turn off on windows and left.

The next day, when I came back I turned it on and I had no video, not even the back light turns on. On the other hand, I can hear the FAN and the caps lock key keeps blinking indefinitely which, from what I read is a sign of bios corruption.

I went to HP website, downloaded the BIOS file for my notebook (https://whp-aus2.cold.extweb.hp.com/pub/...p55068.exe) and placed the bios file name 01658.bin on a flash drive, named it HP_TOOLS (original hard drive with original hp recovery long replaced with a SSD and recovery partition lost), placed it on my notebook's usb port, and turned it on by pressing winkey+b.

I saw the flashdrive activity light blinking a few times and then nothing happens. After some research I read that perhaps I need to place the bios inside a certain folder of name it with a certain name... I don't know, too many different sugestions, none worked so far.

I saw camoloml's post on hp's bios recovery but all links there are down (dropbox) and I could not find out what I need to do to recover my bios.

So, I asking you guys for help, this notebook is a bit old, but it is bloody fast (i7+ssd) and I would like to recover it as it is very useful for my work.
