Acer Aspire VN7-791g Bios chip dead

Hello,
I have an Acer Aspire VN7-791G with the following motherboard "POSEIDON_14203-1M_448.02G04.001M". In the motherboard, the previous owner has tried after a failed bios update using programmer repair again. Without success.

I found three bios roms on Russian sites. Unfortunately they do not work either.

I wrote the Roms directly with a programmer on the chip. As it was done earlier.

I googled something and found that it's not that easy. I would need some help.

The two Bios Dtein I pack in the attachment.

So i just bought a intel 7265 only to have my laptop say unauthrized, couldnt find my laptop on here.

I have a lenovo g51

and here is the latest bios

my current work around right now is, i start the laptop with the old card, and at login i change out to the new chip intel 7265 if i restart though it gives me the unauthrized error

pls. mod my bios, i need to remap my ram and to adjust video memory.

HP Z400 Older Bios version

Hello everyone.
I need some help .... I have an HP Z400 with an Intel Xeon X5650 and I have a problem with the Interrupt Remapping function which was disabled by default in the bios because the Intel x58 chipset returned some errors.
I currently have the latest version of the bios HP Version 786G3 v03.61 05/03/2018.
I would like to try to downgrade the bios at my own risk but I only have an old backup of the HP Version 786G3 v03.10 07/09/2010 bios created with Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit v 2.0.
I mistakenly created a ROM file instead of a bin file but I read in this forum:

that it is sufficient to change the extension and that the problems concern the fact that the bios is capsulated. At this point I can no longer proceed and the bios as it is is not recognized.
I attach the working bin file v03.61 and the non-working bin file v03.10 (rom file renamed).

Can anyone help me?

GPU not detected after bios update Acer aspire E1-571G

Hello guys,

I try to update my bios from 2.04 to 2.21 after finish my gpu not detected (Nvidia 710M) anymore the performance of my pc decresed slowly startup i was not able to play games  even my processor was Intel i7 , only the intel 4000 was detected in the Device Manager i found a solution to downgrade it to 2.04
but nothing gpu dosent back working , please guys if any one face this problem before or if you know a solution let me know three months im trying to find a solution 

In Bios it shows something like this : Vga Bios Version (Peg) none

Bricked Asus FX502VM-DM261T

Hi, everyone!

I bricked my ASUS laptop a couple of weeks ago. Product link here.

Long story short, the laptop rebooted and started to automatically install a BIOS update. I got scared -- thinking it was some sort of virus -- and forced the power off. (Later I’ve learned that Windows 10 has started to install BIOS updates on its own. That’s crazy.)

The result? No HDD light. No keyboard backlight. No USB activity. And of course, the black screen of death. But... at least the laptop powers on…

So I decided to buy ch341a + soic 8 clip to try and salvage my computer. But I’m no expert in these things and I hope some of you guys can help me out.

I’ve done a bios backup and verified it in the program. All good so far. When I look at it in a hex editor I see a couple of pages of FF’s, but I’m not sure if it’s a bad dump. What’s confusing me even more is when I compare my dump with the one from the ASUS support page (it’s the BIOS called GL502VMZ)


When I compare the two files...
  • GL502VMZ-AS.307  ....   6.00 mb
  • My_bios_dump.bin  ...    8.00 mb
… their sizes don’t match and they’re not exactly identical when compared in a hex editor. The sticker on my motherboard says GL502VMZ, so I'm pretty sure I'm using the right one from ASUS.

So where do I go from here? I’d greatly appreciate some help with this. Thanks!

i modified some memory alocation on bios, after save settings laptop dont start.

can you help me to start to default settings?

the laptop its complete dead - brick now.
i saved the bios with programmer, buth i dont fiind any solution.

MSI Z77A-G45 bios broken - Replace bios chip?

Hi there I seem to have bricked my motherboard. 
I tried to update the bios with a usb-stick because the liveupdate thingy from msi wouldn't do it. 
Via usb didnt work either so I went exploring in the settings and I think (not very experienced with bios in general) i changed the bios to boot form the usb. To clarify, no not boot the OS from usb but boot the bios from usb. After I restarted the pc it didn't post anymore and rebooted every 10 sec or so. I tried resetting the CMOS by jumping the pins and taking out the battery but it still does this. 
My question is will putting in a new bios chip fix the problem? Or can i bin my motherboard?

Greetings, I followed the manual on how to remove the whitelist by ucupsz and BDMaster. I already managed to dump the bios and change the needed hex values, but i'd really love to also unlock the advanced BIOS settings tab. How do I do this?

Greetings, I followed the manual by ucupsz and BDMaster for removing the whitelist from the bios. I'd really love to unlock the advanced BIOS settings too while I'm at it it, but simply wasn't able to find any information on how to do so. I also read about unlocking AES-NI capability and a fix for 16 GB of RAM and eGPU. The latter two are not that important to me, but would be nice to have.

Also I'd like to know if is something to be worried about when BACKUP_Tools12.exe outputs a x32 file although being executed on a x64 system.

Hi! I recently trying to help my friend to unlock his Bios.
the device is From Quanta which is same as Aorus 15.but the graphics card is 2080MQ. the bios is insydeH20 5.0

i tried to unlock it by using H20EZE. but when i click UPDATE DEFAULT, the H20EZE automatic closed . 
then i tried to modify the bios setting by using EFI , but i get "can't set variable using efi".

can you help me to unlock all the settings and upgrade the Mirco code to support 8950hk?

How to edit bios with Toshiba A500? Phoenix bios editor does not want me to open this bios, displays the message "invalid rom lenght!"
I need to extract the Vbios graphic card "OPROM0? .Rom" from this bios, the card is GT330m. Vbios needs another bios from Acer. Phoenix bios editor easily edits bios from Acer.
Is there anyone who can help me?
