I know my BIOS is RSA signed, and if it brick I need to remove CMOS battery. I can do that, so please continue.

[Request] BIOS unlock for Sager NP7871

Hi.

Anyone know where I can get a well modded BIOS for a Sager NP7871? It's got an Aptio bios of some sort.

I ordered from Xotic PC thinking they were partnered with Prema, but apparently this doesn't come with the Prema BIOS.

If there are no BIOSes readily available, could someone point me in the right direction?

Here's the info if it helps things at all:

Code:
BIOS Information

I'd really like to be able to over/under clock, and disable the integrated graphics card (leaving only the NVIDIA one—switchable graphics just doesn't work).

If anyone can offer any direction, that would be awesome

Hey,

i have this motherboard buged and now it loads win/linux only without ACPI. It would be good to disable ACPI entirely on BIOS but there are no such options. I found through AMIBCP string in BIOS
Enable / Disable ACPI support for Operating System.  ENABLE: If OS supports ACPI.  DISABLE: If OS does not support ACPI.
Is it possible to unhide it some way?

Thanx Confused

[REQUEST] Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen3 BIOS Version and Build Date mod

Hi,

I need to downgrade the BIOS on Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen3 from the latest version 1.27 (UEFI BIOS Build date 2018-10-31) to an old version 1.20. Unfortunately this laptop has "Secure RollBack Prevention" option enabled and it blocks any attempts of BIOS downgrade. I can not disable this fuction from BIOS Setup, as this machine has BIOS locked with Supervisor Password which I do not have.

The only way I can programmatically (without using hardware programmer) to update BIOS on this unit, is to go with a version that has a higher number and newer build date.

Basically I want to "fool" the Rollback Prevention by changing the following two parameters (A and B) inside the older BIOS (ver. 1.20) image and then flash it with regular Lenovo BIOS update tools:

A) change the version from 1.20 to version 1.28 (it must be higher than 1.27 that I currently have installed).
B) change the BIOS Build date to something newer than 2018-10-31 (which is a BIOS Build date for ver. 1.27).

The link to BIOS version 1.20 that I need a mod for: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/n14uj19w.exe
The link to BIOS version 1.27 that I have currently installed: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/n14uj25w.exe

NOTE: In case it matters, I prefer updating from EFI Shell (using Lenovo's SHELLFLASH.efi, NoDCCheck_BootX64.efi), but can also install Windows if needed. Unfortunately I can't boot in pure DOS to use older tools because of SecureBoot enabled.

Thank you very much in advance for all your assistance!

"Corrupted interface descriptors in the new BIOS file"

Howdy!

I'm trying to flash my XPS 15z over to a modded BIOS in order to gain access to a few more features, but haven't had any luck. Seeing as I run Linux, I booted to a freeDOS and tried flashing using Phlash16 with various options, but to no success. Finally after some digging, I found someone saying they had more luck using the Windows app. I installed Win7 to a spare SSD but received the same error message.

The guide I'm using is:
https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-U...-and-HOWTO

What I'm unsure of is if I'm supposed to mod my OWN BIOS, or if the files in his attachment can be for any XPS 15z (which is typical of any other BIOS mods I've done).

Here is the full error message:

HP 250 G6 F37: Roll Back BIOS

Hi,

Recently, I bought an HP 250 G6 notebook. I updated BIOS from f37 to f42. After updating BIOS, the hard disk makes grinding sounds. I tried to roll back BIOS but I could not.

I checked two methods for the rolling back of the BIOS but none of them not succeed.

Method 1: I created a USB key from the previous versions of BIOS and used "Win key+B" but only Caps lock blinking and have not run anything.

Method 2: I used the "hardware diagnostics UEFI" with the press F2 key. I used a USB key that I created from the previous version of BIOS but I faced with the following error. "Unable to open BIOS Signature file".

Please send me bios signature file give me
