-Bios Download Link: https://download.lenovo.com/UserFiles/Dr...CN43WW.exe
I tried to flash a file from this forum for 44cn36ww and 44cn43ww, but they always ended with BSOD "Page file fault on nonpaged area" on process WinFlash64.sys, after that my BIOS type changed from Legacy to UEFI. So I don't know is this a bug or what? I guess this is because I run Win10, not Win7. So can you help me to make it work with Win10 and Legacy BIOS I think.

Asus K73SV Unlock BIOS and Update CPU Microcode
Hello!
I have a laptop Asus K73SV. (Specification)
I updated the Intel B950 processor to i7-2630QM.(CPUID 206A7 (SR02Y))
Before that, I flashed the latest BIOS from the official site.
https://www.asus.com/Laptops/K73SV/HelpDesk_BIOS/
With the new processor does not start. The power button is on, but nothing else happens.
Microcodes in BIOS are present, but they are quite old.
Is it possible that the manufacturer blocked the BIOS and does not allow to modify the processor?
I ask for help in unlocking the BIOS and updating the microcode of the CPU.
New microcodes in the attached file.

Zotac GF8300 Vcore adjustment
Hello,
I'm still bothering the forum with this zotac board.
Modbin shows that the BIOS already contains options to adjust the CPU vcore and clock multiplier, and that they should already be visible. However in the actual setup these options are unavailable.
Is there any hope to feasibly make them tweakable?

T430 bios request(possibly)
Hi, thanks for your work. I've been having the link to your site for a while and have been debating on what to do. I have a t430 Nvidia with i7-3820 w/ 16 gbs of ram, ssd; I have 750ti also. Last yr I built coreboot & installed to get past the wifi whitelist but later decided to put back the original bios to run windows again for the gaming potential.
It's been on my mind 2 things; (1)being able to overclock (advance menu), and (2)the wifi card whitelist.
I am on the latest bios update while last yr it was like two versions behind(my_bup-.bin.) Would you think I could possibly get the b-up modded and forget about being on the latest. I'm really just concerned about best possible performance. I could definitely donate and hope this isn't too long of a thread or I'm the wrong place or not proper procedure, etc. (Although might take me a week or two at most) Here is a link to my b-up if you have the time to look. Thank you sincerely either way and may God bless.

[Request] Bios Mod for HP Elitebook 1030 G2 "Test/Prototype"
Hi guys,
I got an Hp Elitebook 1030 g2 with this configuration except the SSD:
https://at.insight.com/en-gb/product...oks/0007307217.
When I start the thing I get "Bios is not for production use". Once I am in Windows 10 ("for test use only") there are alot of weird executables on the Desktop. Turns out this is a HP "test / prototype" model from 2/2016.
I installed a fresh copy of Windows and everything works (not perfectly) except autorotation, Fingerprint but most importantly the graphicchip isnt working correctly. I7-7600u Intel HD620
With the newest Intel drivers the display started to glitch and only stopped when I switched to 30 Hz and back to 60hz.
Now to the Bios. The bios shows a serial number of completly different hp laptop and let me up the VRAM only to 512 MB. My guess is that this experimental bios is limiting the graphic chip somehow and is designed for the testing environment that was installed beforehand.
I downloaded the official hp bios and tried installing it. The experimental Bios on this machine does not let me install it because of a signature error.
So I thought maybe it is possible to alter the official Bios with the signature of the experimental one or add an working VBios to the current bios. I looked into and tried programms like Uefipatch, Universal Bios Updated but I donnot understand a thing.
Maybe anyone on this forum can help me out?
I uploaded the current bios P80_8030 and the newest official P80_0123. In addition my bios config in a txt and some pictures.
https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...z7?usp=sharing
If you need any more information or files I ll provide.

I'm a newbie, and I'm looking for advanced settings. Swapped out the original HDD for an SDD and there isn't an advanced menu in the bios, which is preventing me from accessing the peripheral settings to change the setting from I'm assuming IDE to AHCI. Like I said before, I'm very new to modding BIOSes, and the only thing I know is what I've read on the BIOS Update page. Oh, and while I'm thinking of it, where do I find the switches for Insyde BIOSes? So, any tips, tricks, or step by steps that you could point me to would also be appreciated. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Intel SATA (9C83) and Win10
HELLO
I'm posting this here as it seemed the most appropriate place considering my available forum accounts.
I believe this information can potentially save some people from trashing a perfectly working computer unnecessarily.
I have a Intel Broadwell 5005U Laptop class CPU/Motherboard (although in a desktop sff).
The Intel controller device id is: 8086,9C83
The problem here has to do with "Intel 9 Series SATA AHCI Controller" driver that Microsoft includes with Windows 10.
It started sometime last year with an update to windows, maybe the spring update (service pack) 2018.
What happened? Bluescreen, random crashing of the entire system, "STORE EXCEPTION" or something like that.
The pc was unsafe to use.
After first trying to manually update the bios with resources from http://www.win-raid.com, and updating the SSD firmware;
I finally found the culprit.
Now for some reason Microsoft is using an outdated driver as standard for my system. Windows update etc, won't "find"
or update to a newer one. I had to find it myself on win-raid forums, here: Intel-RST-RSTe-Drivers
The driver that matched my system was this: 64bit Intel RST(e) AHCI/RAID Drivers v14.8.18.1066 WHQL
Before: Unusable, unsafe computer due to sudden crashes/reboots.
After: As reliable as one can expect, no need to replace it due to Microsoft using an outdated driver.

Asus N71JQ enable backlit keyboard.
Hey guys!
I am using a asus N71JQ (came out ~2010) which do not came with backlit keyboard.
I found that some very similar laptops (asus G73JH and G60) have exactly the same keyboard but with backlit. Those keyboards have an additional FPC for the LED. I also found on a forum a guy who installed such backlit keyboard, but he made an external circuit to power the LED with a button that he added on the side of his laptop.
But I wanted to do something more clean. I would like to be able to use Fn+F3/Fn+F4 to increase decrease the brightness as you would on G73JH.
So I started to look for N71JQ and G73JH schematics, which unfortunatelly cannot be found anywhere on the web. However I could find N61J schematic. On this schematic I found out that the keyboard backlit is controller with a PWM from the IT8570E embedded controller (EC):
This PWM goes to a mosfet the mosfet enable/disable the connection of the FPC to ground (5V pin is always connected). By changing the PWM the CPU can vary the brightness of LED.
Then I checked my motherboard (N71JA rev2.1) of which I don't have the schematic. However I found that it has same EC IT8570E. Also to my surprise I found that there is a FPC connector available for the LED backlight! I checked and there is same mosfet as on the schematic I saw. I also checked and the mosfet is connected to the pin 32 for IT8570E which is PWM6 (same as on N61J schematic).
I also checked that the 5V is correctly applied to the FPC.
So all the hardware is already ready to support the backlit keyboard! (Which is strange as no asus N71 serie never had backlit. And the motherboard is not used on other models. So they actually paid for components that never ever have been used.)
So I connected my new keyboard, the keyboard works, previous shortcut I had also worked (Fn+F5/Fn+F6 increase/decrease luminosity of LCD for example) but Fn-F3/F4 does nothing still.
There are several drivers related to keyboard shortcut (see this forum)
I checked on asus website for drivers, and found the first 2 are exactly the same between N71JQ and G73JH. The third the version is different so I tried uninstall it, then install the G60J version, Fn-F5/F6 still work OK, but Fn-F3/F4 still nothing happening. (I just realized I have not tested G73JH, but this don't have exactly the same drivers than NJ71JQ and G60, will feedback when I had a chance to try).
Then I found this topic about backlit keyboard issue happening after bios update on G73JH..! So that brought me to understand that the problem might be in the Bios!
I have thought about 2 possibilities :
- Try this kbfix even if the asus model is different. Some people reported that it worked on their model. But it sounds very risky? (On the page 4 of this forum someone explain what the fix actually do.)
- Flash the Asus G73JH bios on my N71JQ : this somehow sounds like a terrible idea...
- Analyze the two bios (G73JH and N71JQ) and try to find the difference. But I have virtually no idea how to proceed... Maybe trying with a binary explorer like PEBrowserPro?
Any hint would be awesome!

Quote:- ATKDrv Utility: This is required because it is actually the ACPI driver. This is what tells your OS about the power state of your system and allows for power settings to be changed by the OS. It is also responsible for pulling battery information from the BIOS.
- ATK Generic Function Utility: This is required as it allows for communication between the ACPI and all the shortcut keys.
- ATK_Hotkey Utility: This is required to make use of all the function key shortcuts.

Now i bought new CPU Intel X9000, its compatible with this chipset but i notice a problem. The multiplier stuck at 6x and runs 1200Mhz.
I don´t know how i can get this CPU runs at 14X multiplier, i try some overclockers aplications like throttlestop and crystalCPUID but didn´t work.
I think i need to modd bios to change CPU ID.
