Hello!  I am trying to replace the CPU in my old HP P6140sc. Current cpu is AMD Phenom II X3-720 (HDX720WFK3DGI), bios v.5.08.
When installing Phenom II X4-955, it says "Unsupported CPU installed." I can get to Windows 10 if I press quickly F2 when the error notification appears but I can't get into bios!

Specsheet of motherboard says that Phenom II X4-955 should be supported:

Socket type: AM3
TDP: 95 watt
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades

AMD Phenom II X4 9xx/9xxe/8xx Quad-Core (Deneb)
AMD Phenom II X3 7xx/7xxe Triple-Core (Heka)
AMD Phenom II X2 5xx (Callisto)
AMD Athlon X4 6xx/6xxe (Propus)

AMD Athlon X2 2xx/2xxe (Regor)

Do I need some kind of modded bios to get the bios and cpu work? Can you help me with this?

NEED HELP, BIOS DUMP for SONY VAIO SVP132A1CX

Hi I m new to the forum, 
I have a SONY VAIO Pro 13, Model : SVP132A1CX, Product name : SVP13227CBS

I tried to reinstall Windows 10 in UEFI mode (before it was installed in Legacy (not by me)) so after checking bios configurations then set them to defaut and set boot mode to UEFI, after rebooting it seems there is a BIOS FAILLUR, the screen stays OFF, the power button lights on steady and the keyboard backlight glows then went off. I tried to remove CMOS battery and Intergrated battery but no result at all. After that I toke it to a technician and told me he needs a BIOS dump of the same model to fix it. I look in the internet but I didn't find it I only found for SVP132A1CW picture shows the same motherboard (the technician told me it will not match).

I need help to solve this, if someone have the bios dumb for my laptop or can confirm that the one I found can match with mine.

I've upgraded the wireless card inside of my laptop however I have ran into some issues.

I receive this error in Device Manager "This device cannot start. (code 10)" I believe this is due too a bios whitelist. Unlike Lenovo however, I do not receive any error messages or warnings during boot regarding unsupported or unauthorized hardware.

New WiFI card: Intel® WiFi Link 5100 AGN - PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4237&SUBSYS_12118086&REV_00

I've tried using phoenix tools and hex workshop to edit the Module/BIOS but it's all way over my head and I don't want to [censored] it up, I cant seem to figure it out either. If there is some way to add my device to the whitelist or some way to remove the whitelist entirely, I would greatly appreciate any help with either.

Zotac GF8300 Vcore adjustment

Hello,
I'm still bothering the forum with this zotac board. Tongue
Modbin shows that the BIOS already contains options to adjust the CPU vcore and clock multiplier, and that they should already be visible. However in the actual setup these options are unavailable.

Btw, i got a new purchase date in the bios, 2019 /01. So i have a new laptop ahah. Donno if that happen because of removing bios battery, or because of new processor that was installed is running (for sure) for the first time. I think so.

Another question.
I was able to run an external graphics nvidia 9500 gt with the exp gdc dock adapter , connected to the wireless pci slot of the laptop.

But so far only sucess in Linux Mint. Windows still problems (i dont miss windows... just playing some games!) - that is why the upgrade.

Is it possible to have in bios the option to disable  internal graphics? So far what seems to be my problem is that the internal graphic is a 9200M GS and this one also have dedicated memory . 
Looking for a solution to disable GPU from this laptop. Bios option? Windows software? Im looking for something called Optimus but still not really found nothing

* Geforce GT 710 low profile noiseless 2 gb gddr5 seems not to work using this dock

Hey All 

Can someone assist me with a bios for this model 
the problems i have are the following
  •  cpu states cpu 0000 runs at 0.8mhz 2 core  4 thread)according to some research this model with the gpy came out with an i5-4200u
  •  the normal bios number of 2.17 (latest)but instead v0.12t4,1/26/2013(on machine)
  • it has a ati hd8750 2gb gpu( which i think is odd running such a crappy cpu)
  • And last but not least none of the serial numbers seems to work even if i download the software from Acer's website to check my serial number. 
i heard talks that it might be an engineers machine and the current bios is open however i have no idea how to clock it

Hello Guys
I want to upgrade my Cpu from Intel B980 to I3 3210m
The CPU fits perfekt in to the Socket G2 / Socket rPGA988B

But the Nootbook doesn´t start up. Black Screen
I have  installed the last bios 2.30 from the original Toshiba

Can someone help me by editing the Bios?

Toshiba L500-1xl bios for T7500

Hello fellas.

I just upgraded this laptop cpu from a celeron 900 to a T7500.

Its a Toshiba L500-1XL. Part number: PSLS0E-07F01DEN

When power on, theres a message saying this:

"KSWAA BIOS version V2.00
etc etc
02F0: CPU ID: FB no microcode update loaded for alternate processor"


I always have to press F1 to resume. The laptop seems to be working kind off well, but it freezes sometimes, like when opening the control panel.

I'm not an expert, that's why I'm here. Can't find anything about this model, neither any bios update on toshiba website. So if any of you can help, and if you need more information, just ask.

Just needed a bios with this CPU included.
