[Request] Gateway DX4860-UB33P i7-3770 Support

Hi, I recently purchased an i7-3770 (Ivy Bridge) CPU to replace the i5-2320 in my DX4860. I updated the bios to the latest revision, installed the new CPU and... 4 short beeps on boot, nothing else. After some research it seems like the BIOS doesn't support the CPU and the only way I could possibly use the CPU is with a BIOS mod. I'm hoping adding support for the CPU is possible, thanks.

Resently i bought a new cpu called intel q6600 quad core SLACRS the problem is in the official website clearly says that the motherboard supports q6600 cpu but when i boot the pc it says max power of the cpu reached i need to press f10 to bypass  and pc runs perfectly i played games for 2 hours no problem  whatsoever. I just wanted a mod to so that i can use my pc without that message showing every time i boot my pc.thnx in advance

I want to change my wireless network card and the system says "unauthorized network card" due to a whitelist.
The card previous card has been playing up and just got round to buying an intel 9260NGW.

Hi, I've got a problem with my Dell Inspiron 3721 asking me the current password whatever I try to do at start up.

I've been told that I should flash my Bios but with 3721A14.exe (https://www.dell.com/support/home/fr/fr/...erId=70H05) I downloaded from Dell support site it is impossible to get the Rom and hdr files (even with Uniextract)

Can you help me so I can flash my Bios using a USB stick following d3n7s procedure found on this forum.

[AMI]bios password reset for unbranded tablet.

Hi
I have casper N410 2in1 baytrail tablet (rebranded) and bios supervisor password set by manufacturer and only knows by service stations (wtf) If windows crashed you need send to service to reinstall windows (wtf +1) I spend couple of hours to find tablet real brand and model but I can't find it so I have no original bios file.

bios password is 7 digit password i think (referenced by video)



I need to clear the bios password (or maybe hash for bruteforce) for everyone who uses it, not just me.

Request: AHCI option in BIOS
Hi, I would like to buy an SSD to upgrade my notebook, but as far as I can see there's no AHCI option in the official BIOS so I'm afraid I can't take advantage of the AHCI protocol and have to use the SSD in default IDE mode.

Searching in the forum I found this file: HP_Pavilion_dv5-1000_sp45138_INTEL_SLIC21_no_WL_no_EIST_more_options.zip at the following link for another similar laptop: http://rgho.st/60560471
Can I use this modded BIOS on my laptop and if yes will it have the AHCI options to be enabled?
I believe the mentioned file was uploaded by DBMaster.

Hi,

I've dumped the bios using hardware CH341a USB programmer along with flashrom on Ubuntu. It's an Acer Predator Helios 500 with I7 8750h, 16Gb ram, GTX 1070.

Need help flashing incorrect BIOS (PowerEdge T30)

I recently purchased a Dell PowerEdge T30 Mini Tower Server and discovered after I received it that Dell has intentionally reduced the functionality of the motherboard through BIOS updates because they do not support certain features. I am aware that there are some BIOS upgrade and downgrade tricks that can be used (official BIOS) to enable some features, but it is only a partial solution. For instance, this would allow me to use the onboard M.2 slot (Dell disables this in BIOS revisions later than 1.02) but it still would not allow me to use newer CPUs with the motherboard.

While searching for a solution, I have learned that the motherboard in the PowerEdge T30 Mini Tower Server is the exact same motherboard found in the Precision Tower 3620, but the Precision Tower 3620 BIOS does not suffer from the same BIOS constraints as the T30. I have read success stories of others who have forced the Precision Tower 3620 BIOS onto the T30, but I have no idea how they accomplished it and none appear to be available to help any longer.

I am hoping that someone on here can help me to figure out how to force update the Precision Tower 3620 BIOS onto the PowerEdge T30.


The motherboards use Phoenix BIOS.

He made a custom BIOS for me but I'm having trouble with the install as it says my bios is write protected.

I noticed he hasn't been online since like the 14th of this does anyone know if he is on vacation or something?
