Bios Problem - offering bounty!

I have this motherboard: P67A-C43  MS7673 MSI . I also have an i7 2600K. I kept it overclocked to 5.1ghz for years, but recently
my motherboard wont save anything in bios. My PC wont boot, unless i reset CMOS each time.

I offer bounty if you complete one of the two request:
1) Make my system work again without replacing the motherboard.
2)Create a custom bios that when reset, has its defaults overclocking enabled.

Please help guys.

[SOLVED] Modded Y50-70 Bios, forgot password!

Hey there!

I've modded my Y50-70 BIOS here in 2015 (https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-u...#pid101502), but unfortunately I forgot the password and I've set Secure Boot on.

I can only successfully boot with one SSD I have, so although I can't access the BIOS, I have full Windows access to it.
I'm wondering if it would be possible to recover my current BIOS through Windows and remove the password by flashing a password-cleared one instead.

Instructions on how to do so would be very welcome, too!

Thank you for your time!

Greetings,

Please assist me with removal of the whitelist of my Lenovo x130e (BIOS: 8RET54WW) v1.17

I need to install two Mini PCI-e devices.
A wifi card: Intel 7260HMW 802.11AC WiFi Dual Band 2.4/5GHz

A mSATA Card: Samsung EVO 850 mSATA SSD.

Laptop:
-Manufacturer: Lenovo
-Model: ThinkPad x103e AMD E-450 1.65Ghz
-Machine Type Model: 062223U
-Embedded Controller Version: 8RHT23WW (1.11)
-Current Bios version: 8RET54WW (1.17) . The latest BIOS (1.19) is here

Ive been trying to get a backup of the BIOS for days before making this post.
PHLASH's command switches all result in an error of it not finding the bios file (BIOS.WPH) to flash with, even though I'm
just trying to dump the ROM.
I would give it the BIOS.WPH file, but I can only get an exe bios flasher from Lenovo.

Thank you greatly for your help!

Best Regards,
Xylex Rayne

Lenovo G575 (4383) EC and BIOS images

I have a Lenovo G575 (4383), AMD based, with what I believe to be an InsydeH20 UEFI, but it won't boot (won't even POST), and the Fn+B recovery option does not work any more, following a failed attempt at recovery.  I suspect that the BIOS and/or EC is corrupt and needs reflashing the hard way with a SOIC clip and flashrom.

Please can anyone provide EC and UEFI images, or tell me how to extract them both from the Lenovo firmware updates on their site, so that I can give it a final try before consigning it to the junk pile?  According to the schematics (attached, in case someone else finds them useful), I think the UEFI image should be 2048K and the EC image should be 128K, which, when you add those two numbers together, happens to be the file size of the rom image inside the .exe that Lenovo have on their site.  I can't figure out how to use Phoenix tool to extract what I need, though.

[edit: mods, I think i've posted this in the wrong place - please can you relocate it?]

Hello
I've read the guides on here but i couldn't get far if anyone can help me out with things to read so i can do it myself or if possible for them to do it  i would be thankful.

This is an update package with updates for the BIOS ME/EC-firmware so i'm not 100% sure exactly witch files to send over, and I've added a bios save to the same folder: MEGA link (I've added the files as a .zip as an attachment to this post if you prefer to not use MEGA)

P.S. For everyone using a Clevo laptop sadly you have to contact you reseller, tried contacting Clevo directly with the only return message "Talk to your reseller for updates", and i tried asking my reseller for an unlocked BIOS to no luck.

this board is based on the 6150se NVidia chipset the pcb revision 3.0 after it is where I got cpu microcodes from and I updated the agesacpu.rom from option roms download sections.......  then updated ncpucode.bin with extract p6 module from ami bios 3.0 Revision board and flashed with win flash in windows ten.. I have absolutely no idea if this will void windows installs I have an install that is work based and never had to leave it so slic doesn't effect my windows installation ever.... I have attempted to fix the rom checksum breaking after this mod but it seems any changes done after the agesa version update and changing the meminit position it doesn't work ive been testing with multiple cpus I'm getting tired so I'm just gunna say it works for athlon II rest idk.... Agesa is now 3.7.0.0 and machine posts and does not give any errors but when opening in awardtool.exe it will say meminit padding bytes etc so I'm sure theres a fix but I doubt ill figure it out opens in modbin just fine aswell as awdbedit. only issue is when I update agesa it automatically updates meminit and changes position then machine works if I move position of meminit padding byte error goes away but machine wont post so I cant conclude its a hundred percent working but heres the cpu I have in now as a testing and the frequencies and pictures of the mods from the dumped bios in awdbedit its also showing that the name of the cpu is an opteron 1384 in cpu z not sure if that means anything but I assume its old patch replaced with new one that updated logo for the cpu for am3 boards? whatever the case hope this is all working well ... also cleared cmos rebooted flashed old bios didn't say opteron before now it does so I'm having hope for new cpu on the way for first time I might have gotten lucky with buying a motherboard for cheap lol............. also someone awhile back said that agesa is integrated into the en_code module on award bios but from what ive seen with most its in a separate agesacpu module like the rest. Pictures to confirm pc is still running etc left it overnight off and unplugged started today and changed cpus around all working as far as I can tell so this is last update for this thread ill do.
