Hello! If anyone could be so kind, I would much appreciate to get SLIC 2.1 to the BIOS for ECS G41T-M5/M7. The M5 (which I have) and M7 model variants are minor option change and share a common BIOS. ECS has newer BIOS posted for M7 but not the M5, so I went ahead and flashed the "M7" BIOS (9/2011) onto the M5 board with no problems at all.

Here is the original AMI BIOS ROM for M7 (uploaded to my own server space): 110902S.zip

ACPI dump from SLIC ToolKit 3.2: acpidump.zip

Since ECS supplies a lot of boards for HP-Compaq, I thought maybe better to use HP or CPQ SLIC , but if it doesn't really matter then I have the cert files for Dell, Acer, eMachines, too. Thanks!

I was hoping it might be possible to get memory configuration options for the Aspire 5738Z laptop. My 533 (1066) MHz memory is running at 399 MHz and there are no options to fix this. User [b]kizwan[/b] created a modded BIOS which is available here but it only includes a 333 (677) MHz memory option and nothing else. I was hoping it might be possible to grant 533 (1066), 667 (1333) and 800 (1600) MHz options although I'm not sure exactly what the motherboard supports (I know it's at least 533/1066). Thanks!

Hi folks!
My girlfriend owns a Packard Bell Ixtreme with the Acer ixtreme M5850 Board.
I already made a boddes BIOS from the newest you can get for the board which is the P01-B0,
though have not yet flashed it.
I wanted to asked since in the manual it states that it only supports 4x4GB of RAM in the 4 Slots, if
there is a possibillity so mod the BIOS to support 8GB RAMs since I have a spare one. So she could have
8+4GB instead of 4+2GB (its cruel, I know, but thats how the system is build up).
So she would have 8GB or 12GB instead of only 6GB.
The Chipset on the Board is the Intel H67 and the CPU is a Intel Core i5 2nd Gen 2300 non K socket 1155.

BTW-> Is it dangerous to set all settings in the modded BIOS to USER or are there any settings that should
stay on Default in all cases?

I am fully aware that this is probably not the correct forum to post this BIOS unlock request. However I am not able to determine the type of BIOS I have, ie: AMI, Award, etc. Once this has been done, I will gladly post post in the correct forum - if a moderator hasn't kindly moved this thread for me by then.

I have an HP Compaq nx6310. I do know that sometimes additional features can be unlocked by those with the right knowledge. But I would also like to be able to upgrade the wifi card, but I believe that this machine is locked to this particular wifi card until the BIOS is unlocked.

Hi, I'm Marco, I'm from Italy and I try to take the best from my old netbook.
My problem is a change of performance from AC supply to Battery supply even if I set the Windows Performance in : Always active. (Only option that set Core VID: 1.100 volt , other option set Core VID: 0,813 volt).
In details, when I put the AC supply , fan start and run till I take out the AC supply. And for example, in You Tube video playing , even if I overclock Atom z520 to 1555.1 Mhz , still lag if run with battery and doesn't lag if I put AC supply, at the same clock. Another one strange thing is that even if brightness is 100%, when I unplug the AC there's a very little bright change to minor brightness... fan stop run (and run only when strictly necessary for a little time) and video start to lag.
I think that's the ACPI control of Windows that manage the power AC control and set instruction like Enhanced Halt State and Intel SpeedStep Technology. I try to uninstall the ACPI drivers but Windows re-install all of the drivers automatically.
Finally I think I may unlock advanced bios to manage ACPI power control directly from it .. but now I not understand how can I unlock the bios. It's possible to disable these services without mod bios?Can windows 7 make difference to manage ACPI profile?(now I have xp sp3 that's more light than win7).
And please, can anyone mod the original bios? There's any possibilities? Huh
