Hello I have an old HP pavillion DV6000 series laptop

i want to change the wireless card from an Atheros AR5007 (54mbps)to an Atheros AR 5008.(300Mbps)

i bought the card, placed it into the laptop and volia I got 104 yada yada error. i can hot plug the card in and the system recognises it fine but that isnt really a viable solution. After a few hours research I found you guys. 
i am not very technical but i can change a card and flash a bios so i am asking if there are any BIOS that already have the whitelist removed that i can flash. i have looked into changing the HEX keys etc but it is a little bit too far beyond my technical scope. (im not even sure if im posting in the right place. if i am not i apologise and ask to be pointed in the correct area, never used forums much)
the laptop is an HP6820ea version
the bios in the system now is Phoenix F2.F.
the laptop is AMD (x2) processors.

the Equipment ID for the 5007 is  PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0450&SUBSYS_30CF103C   and for the 5008 it is PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0024&SUBSYS_7125144F.

if anybody can help then i am happy to donate a few pints. thanking you in anticipation

Hello Everybody,

I would be very gratefull if someone can make a modded bios for my medion(msi brother) notebook.


There are few information about: 

BIOS Version:                 E1771IM7.500
EC Version:                     1771EM71 Ver5.02, 12/11/2013
Motherboard Chipset:     Intel Lynx Point HM87, Intel Haswell

I have this G41 motherboard on which a GeForce 9300GS works perfectly fine, but as soon as I attach a newer 2.0 interface card (GeForce 210), it never gets past windows splash screen after installing drivers. Huh

Works fine with Microsoft Basic driver, but it freezes if Nvidia Drivers are installed. I think the BIOS lacks support for PCIe 2.0 interface (like different voltage?). I've seen users report that a BIOS update made it support the interface and things worked OK after that Big Grin . I wonder if someone can add that to my motherboard's BIOS too Idea . (My motherboard doesn't have a BIOS update to add that support)
I have attached the BIOS ROM saved using AMI tool. Please help me.

Asus A58M-E Bios Unlock Request

Hi,

Thanks in advance for any help given, I am hoping someone can unlock the "AI Overclocking" page in the bios. I am using an X4 845 CPU which has a locked multiplier, I was intending to do a FSB/Base clock overclock on it but with this motherboard insted of just locking the multiplier it removes the entire overclocking tab, so I don't even have access to the FSB! :o


Apologies if this is in the wrong topic as I'm not even sure of what type of bios it has ( or was made by ) or how to find out.



Linking the most recent bios which I'm running as it has support for the CPU.

Cant flash oem bios back after flashing wrong bios

So i flashed a custom bios to my board but that didnt fix what i tried to fix and now i cant flash back the latest bios or any bios. When i try to flash i get ID mismatch or id error. Tried awdflash and bunch of other ones nothing. With awdflash using /f i get flash type :unknown! error.
My board is
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R (rev. 2.1)

Hi guys. I have an acer E1 570. I guess it uses only 64mb for Graphics and I want to spend some more from the RAM.
Is OC also possible with the unlocked bios?
It says V2.06. should i rather mod this one or go for a newer version (advantages?)
I couldnt find a already modified one here, but i guess i failed to use the search properly..

Tried searching and it seems there was one a while back but all the links don't work. Requesting a whitelist on the latest BIOS version.
