Looking to unlock or mod the Aurora R5 bios to have fan control (if possible) as well as undervolting possibilities.  I'm new to this so I'm not sure what I need to post, I'm decently adept at working with comps so just let me know what I need to do and I can probably manage it.

Any advice for my motherboard BIOS failure?

Hi guys,

I'm new in this forum and I'm very glad to have found this site. I was updating my bios using a USB stick formatted to fat32...in the middle of the update, the beeper beeped a prolonged sound but I just let it stay until the beep turned itself off. Thirty minutes later, the update seems to not working (it's like the computer is hanging/not responding)...I tried to press "CAPS LOCK" on my keyboard and it seems the light is not flicking on/off...Forty-five minutes later I shut the computer off as it looks it wasn't doing anything...

When I turned the computer on, processor fan is working but no display, not a single beep from beeper. My motherboard is Emaxx MCP61D3-iCafe v2.0...I have downloaded the bios file from here http://www.emaxxtech.com/bios/?wpfb_s=IC...ist_page=3

I removed the chip, erased the data, flash the bios from that file above using TL866CS programmer and solder the chip back into the motherboard. I did this steps twice but nothing happend. Please note that I have tried flashing bios a week ago using programmer and it was successful with different motherboard.

My concern is, the bios file from above is in .rom extension, I have read here in this forum (https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-h...rom-to-bin), ROM and BIN extension are the same except one of the has an extra header and that the bios file is capsulated, in order to get the file working I have to cut out some chunks in the hex code. I'm not very good at it but I'm hoping some expert could enlighten or help me regarding this....

After BIOS update, black screen, No light

Hi,

This is my first post on this web site. Hopefully I am posting right place.

I have Envy 700-327C with Windows 7.
 
After I update the BIOS which I downloaded from HP site, my monitor is black and no light on the computer. But every about 50-60 sec, a light is flash, and fans are running at full speed. Also I can not turn off the computer with power switch.
 
I tried to do BIOS recovery using window's key and B key, but it doesn't do anything.

I have no idea how to fix my issue. Any suggestions will be appreciated

LENOVO G400s Touch remo Whitel list WIFI

Hi, i´m new in this forum, but was reading lots of threads about this bios mod. I would like to remove the whitelist from the bios of my note. Just it, i don´t want to change any other settings. Could some one help me? 

I did the bios backup with the BACKUP_Tools18 for the bios version 7bcn38ww

and is this one:

I just bought a SSD to install windows 10 instead of my old hdd. But sometimes, Windows freeze. I think it's due to AHCI or IDE mode. But i can't switch between them because advanced features in BIOS aren't available. It would be great to have this option.

Hibernation (S3 State) doesn't work.

Help, please, with the hibernation mode on my laptop. MSI CX623 (MS-168A MB). After I unlocked BIOS and changed couple of settings (DVMT Total Gfx Mem, Local x2APIC, Active Trip Point Fan Speeds) Windows is not able to go in hibernation (S3 state). After clicking on the "hibernation" button there passes second, and the login window in system appears then. I rolled away BIOS settings to defaults, but the problem remained. Powercfg - requests is empty, - wake_programmable, wake_armed are empty too. I am not able to read to powercfg all_devices a log. By itself, - hibernate on.

I can't understand what occurs. To me it is necessary or the help with reading a log of powercfg, or the new ideas.
Also, when I typed shutdown -h, I got this:"The requested system device cannot be found<15299>".
