Lenovo Y500 Whitelist removal

I'm trying to use an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Wifi card on my Lenovo Y500 and ran into the whitelist.

What information do you need? I tried to use the tool linked in other posts, put the file access was blocked.

Hi everyone, I just joined this great community. I know I'm posting in the wrong category but I need someone to help me. 
So, I have a notebook Lenovo G470 (Model: 20078) and was wondering if you guys could help me unlocking it's advanced bios settings.
I know my bios is InsydeH20 and gotta check the version but is rev 3.5. I know I have to upload an screenshot of it. 
The thing is you need me to upload the bios so you can modify it and I don't have any idea how to do that, I wonder if you could help me
guys. I would really appreciate that. Sorry for my english, it's not my native languaje. Regards!

Hello, is there anyone who could help me to unlock Bios in my computer to use the dedicated Radeon card?  I need it desperately to CAD work , integrated Intel is too slow and works only in 30Hz on 4K display.  Radeon is not active, no real reaction on switching options from Windows and display all the time goes through Intel.  It seems like I have to disable Intel in Bios, and choose AMD there. But there is no such option.  I would be thankful for every help.

What's a marker?

In one of the BIOS, this has a Marker/SLIC 2.0, but updating it without a rw, changes it to Marker/SLIC 2.1.

If I use the rw report from the machine, then it stays as 2.0.  Presumably, 2.1 is what I seek?  I think that's why I couldn't activate?

Without the rw report, I am assuming the program sees the 2.0 SLIC, but with a RW it ignores updating the marker - due to the setting(s) in Advanced?

I seem to be able to add the 2.1 SLIC, but wish there was a bit of a guide somewhere as to what options do what...  Lots of options, but no idea what they do...  I think generally you do defaults and there are certain options for certain methods....  Like Dynamic updates a SLIC... Just thought I'd have a bit of a play...

Any advice?

Since no one on this forum was able to help me, I had to try it out myself and managed to unlock most advanced settings according to my needs.


Requirements:

Asus N551VW

This bios rom file > Download

AfuWin 3.05.04 > Download

A backup of your original rom


Windows 10 safety tips:

If you have windows 10 pro, it doesn't hurt to open gpedit.msc and go to "Computer configuration > Administrative templates > Windows components > Windows update" and enable "No auto-restart with logged on users for scheduled automatic updates installations"

You don't have to do this but if windows does an update and restarts during the bios flash, it's over, your laptop is bricked...


Installation:

  1. Make sure advUnlock.rom is exactly 6160384 bytes, just like the original
  2. Close all open applications and disable antivirus
  3. Go to your afuwin folder and open a command prompt as admin
  4. Type AfuWinx64.exe advUnlock.rom /GAN
  5. If all went well, restart your laptop


An attempt to enable the chipset tab was also made on this rom file but the chipset tab is still not there...

Hm strange, I will Withdraw this file until I don't check it... as .exe is clean with kaspersky pro and Eset, but when I run scan on installed program is not. please check with antivirus for malware if someone installed. Will dissasembly package and search for that malware if there is one. SRY guys
