Hey!

Can someone modify this bios so that I can disable the integrated graphics card from the bios (I think it exists but it's not visible)


Here is the ROM file I got from AfuWin: Afuwin.rom


I'm pretty sure this bios is moddable but not so sure about it being flashable and the protection asus/intel might have in place in this skylake laptop.

Hello , I bought a laptop dell i5 5200u 5458 c10 .
I'm having trouble , and would like a help guys .
My wifi card and ac7265 and with this, I do not have to configure the wifi in hackintosh .
The bios setup this notebook and very limited with this , I wonder what would be the bios I could use to have all the features of the notebook.
Can someone help me ?

performed the 771 to 775 mod on this mob used the x5460. I have updated the bios to the newest version 0405 and updated the microcode. bios are AMI v02.61 says 1985-2010 at the bottom of screen. I have seen screen shots of the asus p5p43t that has the same v02.61 but the dates at the bottom are 1985-2009. from what i can see the p5p43t-si and p5p43t bios are the same other than the ai tweaker.

Corrupt BIOS after BIOS mod

I was trying to do some light gaming on my Gateway NE56R laptop. I wanted to access features not available in my stock BIOS such as fan speed and VRAM. 

So, installed a modded BIOS that I requested from https://www.bios-mods.com. Once I started up my laptop and went into the BIOS and changed the settings, I saved and exited, which made my computer shutdown. When I would turn it back on, the LED's would come on for about 2-3 seconds before turning back off. 

I have tried the tricks such as holding down the power button from 30-60 secs and removing the CMOS battery for 3 days, which did not work. So I bought a new BIOS chip for my model, removed the old one, then soldered the new one on. BUT STILL the same result. I am not sure if i have two BIOS chips on my mother board, or if the one I ordered was not for the BIOS (although I'm sure pretty sure it was). 

I'm not sure if I need to replace the other chip that is identical to the one I replaced, or replace a whole different chip. I don't have any important files on my laptop so I don't mind selling it right now for parts (which really sucks because I just upgraded the RAM and processor before corrupting it). 

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated, as I would like to confirm if my laptop is bricked, and if there is any hope to bring it back to life. I'll attach links to the pictures of the chip and mobo.

(P.S. I have also tried flashing the BIOS and it did not work. I might have done it wrong but I will try again with the new chip)

Hello folks, not sure if i ended in the right forum category but I'm extremely interested in getting to edit the "bios" ( UEFI ) on the Surface Pro

Everything started when i cmd:

wmic bios get serialnumber SerialNumber

i wantedt o modify this value that is retrieved from the rom itself i assume.
Then i read about computrace at bios level, etc.

I read about FAU and DMIEdit but i can't seem to understand what i really need for the Surface Pro EUFI really....

Anyone that could help will do an amazing thing!!!

AFUDOS ROM ID Issue When Flashing Modified BIOS

Let me preface this by saying I am a complete novice when it comes to BIOS mods.

So I am trying to modify and flash the AMI Aptio 4 BIOS for my Toshiba Satellite P755 so that I can get advanced features to help get my eGPU setup and running. Here's what I did:

-Backed up BIOS ROM using AFUWIN
-Modified some settings from "Default" to "USER" in AMIBCP
-Used Rufus to make a FreeDOS USB and copied AFUDOS and the modified BIOS to it
-Booted to USB
-Ran "AFUDOS bios.rom /P /B /N /K"
-Received error saying something along the lines of ROM ID does not match.

I know there is the /X option in AFUDOS to not check ROM ID, but I am not sure whether it is safe to use in this case.

So my question is: should I use the /X option, or is there something that I have done wrong or may have gone wrong with my process?

Update: The error message reads "Warning: Project ID Check Fail"
