SPI BIOS Dump

Hi all, I'm new.
I have a Sony Vaio VPCEB4C5E, and I never received a BIOS update (and there's no one on Sony support site).
I've dumped with afuwin my BIOS (AMI APTIO), it dumps only the second half of it (why?), and it can be correctly opened by AMIBCP and MMTool.
For safety reason I've just ordered a SPI programmer (GZUt OnePro) that support my chip (Winbond 25Q32BV series) and made a full dump just today (It self recognize the chip).
I've opened this one with AMIBCP and MMTool but does not show nothing except CPU Microcodes section. I've also splitted the BIOS in two parts just to have the second one and it is DIFFERENT from the one dumped with afuwin! Also the second part can be opened with the two tools but again it shows only the CPU Microcodes.

Anyone can help me to know why? What should I do?

EDIT/PS: I want to buy another chip to have a dual BIOS solution to work on, like as was done on Dreamcast.
EDIT/PS2: By removing the main and CMOS battery the only thing that was gone was the clock, but settings remain. By reading the diagrams I've found 3 EEPROMs, could some NVRAM settings be stored there instead that on the main BIOS chip? My programmer seems support them, I'll try to dump later.

Phoenix bios recovery name

When I run a inside bios in Phoenix tool I get a recovery file name.I just ran a Phoenix bios and I had to keep hitting run until it found the Slic. Nowhere does it give me a recovery file name.The bios is JV70_204.WPH. What am I doing wrong? Or do I rename to "bios.wph"?

Supermicro H8DG6 overclocking support?

Hi there, is there any chance someone could write a BIOS for a supermicro H8DG6 G34 dual socket motherboard. There is no overclocking settings in the bios at all and i would like to squeeze some extra performance out of my Opteron 6272s. Is it possible to do? (As for the thumbnail... I only have one CPU installed so far as i have to wait for another cooler to arrive)

Hi all,

I have a laptop that is stuck at the 'Boot Manager' but will not boot off any device.

The ACER logo no longer shows, and no 'F2' option is available Sad

I've seen the bios 'USB' flash 'Fn+esc' but unable to find the actual BIOS file.

I have any troubles for unlock in my Insyde Bios, the virtualization features (EPT, VMx, XD).
I try to enable Hyper-V for install in Visual Studio 2013, the Windows Phone Emulator, like it's write in this doc -->MSDN Link

Hello guys i´m trying to unhide Advanced and Security features in this Bios but i cant(newbie) also i'm learning, plus i dunno what to do with things like

Wifi always appears disable

Hi,
I flashed bios mod because my wifi module seems like a dead. I bought Intel 4965AGN while 5100 agn is the original. Is a HP dv3530es.

But I can't find any wireless ssid because wifi module appears disable. Into Device Manager on win7 I can see it, then this is recognized.
On Ubuntu is the same. But any OS is able to connect via wifi module

Any ideas?

Going to be a really long shot here but I was wondering if anyone has or can mod a bios for this laptop (it's really old) to support AHCI?

I just got a SSD for it and something's very wrong.. it's even slower than the hard drive it's going to replace!

It must be the AHCI setting but I cannot see it anywhere in the bios to change it.

Hail masters,
I've a second hand notebook that is amazing except for the linux compatibility. I would be able to unlock advanced features to modify the switch between Intel and Nvidia video cards in bios settings.

I tried by myself with the following tutorial: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/473226-insyde-hacking-new-vaio-z-advanced-menu-bios.html
But it didn't work out-of-the-box, I tried to modify the VSS offset searching for the Hex sequence 24 56 53 53... but it didn't work either (and I'm not good in this hacks).
