Hey Guys!

I m new to this forum.
I have IBM 8114 Board with D945G chipset having LGA 775 socket but unfortunately it is restricted to Pentium 4's and Pentium D's only. I have tried many times to inject microcodes for CPUID=6fd and 6f2 using cbrom but failed all the time, because cbrom doesn't even show BIOS info it just hangs....!

Can anyone mod my BIOS with these two microcodes and sent it to me please??

Dell Inspiron 3847 Desktop PC

Good evening,

I am from Germany and my English is not as good as it should be, but I try to give my best.

I bought a Dell inspiron 3847 Desktop PC, which will be delivered tomorrow. On the computer there will be Windows 8.1 pre-installed.

On this low cost mashine I don't want to use Windows 8.1 so I want to install Windows 7.

Now my question is, do you know if there is already the required SLIC-Table (2.1?) installed on this OEM computer, or do I have to use a BIOS mod? Is it even possible to mod a bios like that because of pre installed Windows 8.1?

Unfortunately I can not extract the BIOS File from the Dell Homepage. It is an exe File which I can not extract. It appears a message: No Dell System, so I have to wait untill the new Dell Computer arrives tomorrow.

I hope you can give me some answers.

Here you can find the latest BIOS-File: http://www.dell.com/support/home/de/de/d...op/drivers Maybe it can help you "Datei herunterladen" means "File Download" in English.

Thank you very much

Best Regards

Greetings from Poland,

I would like to ask if anyone could modify the latest bios for ASUS F1A75-V to unlock the ability to change CPU Voltage (Vcore) manually?
There isn't such an option in official BIOS for Asus F1A75-V but there is in the official BIOS for F1A75-V PRO and EVO version of the mainboard.

Links below:

Thanks in advance.

I have used cbrom but cbrom is unable to add microcodes for all BIOS and even cbrom don't recognizes many of the BIOS when entering command "cbrom.exe bios.bin /D" it just hangs.
I m just a beginner and this field is really interesting.
Any Help will be appreciated.

So I have the said laptop.
I love this machine. It's superb.

There is only ONE thing I want to turn off.
Hyper-threading.

Now, as you might have already guessed... there is no option to do so.
I downloaded the "AMIBCP" tool - thanks to Prema's Clevo thread.

-----
In the CPU section, I found the Hyper-Threading option immediately.
Here comes the twist. I save the file with and without "String optimization" (just in case.)

1) If I just edit the option, it says the build date is older than my current BIOS.

2) So I grabbed a Hex editor, and bumped up the bios file version to 209 from 208, and made the build a day younger.

3) Now ASUS WinFlash says its a valid file..but then it refuses to flash it after I click next.

4) BIOS flash tool (Ezflash?) outright refuses to flash the file. It didn't even complain about the date or version. It just said the same, invalid file.

What am I missing?
How can I produce a valid image for the BIOS flash tool?
I only need THIS one value changed. Nothing else. Just hyper-threading off and thats all I'm not touching anything else in the BIOS file ever.

Thank you in advance!

I would already glad if someone could tell me which HEX value is this (see attached pic). Because I think the AMI tool modifies the entire image, thus it gets ...corrupted (?).

Anyway. If I could just flip this single value, it would be all good.

Hi!

Due to eGPU usage and TOLUD problems in BIOS versions greater than 1.11 i need to have 1.11 with removed whitelist (using modem and wlan card)
I know it existed before, but all links are broken.
Could somebody post it again or just remove whitelist from official BIOS:

Thanx a lot in advance.

Is this a BIOS problem: Insert miniPCI-e ==> nothing

$

My laptop has a mini-PCI-express slot, which is designed for a restricted list of WWAN cards. (It's a Lenovo Thinkpad 420, 4178-AFU, but I think that's irrelevant)

I have a mini-PCI-express-to-PCI-Express adapter, which I am hoping to use to add a GPU to my laptop. (It's the PE4C-PM3E V1.2 shown at http://www.hwtools.net/Adapter/PE4C.html, but this is also irrelevant I think)

I am running Windows 8.1.

But when I put the mini-PCI-e card into the slot, and power everything up, Windows reacts by doing .... nothing at all:
1. I go to device manager and choose "scan for new hardware" .... nothing
2. I go to "Devices and Printers" and choose "add a device"..... nothing
3. I go to the new metro "Change PC Settings" app and try to add the device... nothing

Am I correct to think that if my problem were some issue relating to a BIOS whitelist, that I would at least see an error. Since I get no reaction whatsoever, may I conclude that this is the wrong forum in which to be asking for help?

(If I'm correct, well, then this is the wrong place to ask for help... but PLEASE HELP!!Smile any ideas of what to do next? Is there anything I can do other that write to the manufacturer and start an RMA process?

If a BIOS whitelist can cause the PC to be totally silent when I insert an unsupported card, please let me know.

thank you very much

Hi all, i would like to request some expert help with this BIOS:

- Manufacturer: HP
- Model: dv6-1235es (12xx AMD ver.)(Quanta 3060 19.17)
- Bios Revision: F.18 (11/10/2009)
- Bios Type: Insyde H2O
- Bios Link: HERE (on support site) or HERE (on ftp)
- Backupped BIOS: HERE (using the Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit)

I have found on this very forum a SLIC21/nowhitelist version, but i would like an advanced/power unlock version too,
(SLIC/NWL/ADV or PWR) as i need to change some AHCI/SATA and GPU configs, and i don't know if even it will be possible.
Something more than Advanced and/or Power would be good to have, if you need, just nuke the Security and Diagnostics tabs.
(Dunno if Security and Diagnostics tabs have hidden advanced configurations, it would be good to know.)

I'm a little noob right now on these things, on Windows 8.1, will it be a problem for the insyde flasher?
And, i have read the recovery process for insyde BIOSes, if you like to take this request, please tell me
the name of the BIOS file in case of emergency (original BIOS file as unpacked is 3059F18.fd).

PD: Attached are screenshots of the current main and config tabs.
PD2: If you need more information, just let me know.

Thank you very much.
