[Request] Advanced Options BIOS Lenovo BKCN26WW / Yoga S740-15IRH

Hello everyone

I would like to unlock the advanced options in my BIOS, which were included years ago and in previous versions of the BIOS. With the new updates, more and more restrictions have been added so that my graphics card and the energy options no longer work properly. I therefore need to unlock the advanced functionalities.

FPTW64 "Result data is identical" when flashing modded bios.

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and new to bios modding. I have a MONSTER Tulpar T7 V20.8 laptop which is TONGFANG GM7AR0R.
I wanted to enable undervolting and memory overclocking or at least disable SPD Write protection on this laptop, however setup_var method doesnt work as RU.efi etc gives me 0x000008 writing protection error. Laptop is not bios locked so I decided to mod BIOS and flash it instead. 

I followed this guide:

Which was great until when I flash the bios file (.bin format) it flashes succesfully but says "Result data is identical" and nothing changes on the laptop. Could you please tell me what should I do to properly flash the modded bios? Thank you.

BIOS Unlock Request - Asus ROG Strix SCAR 17 X3D (2023) G733PYV

Hello everyone, i bought a new laptop, the Asus ROG Strix SCAR 17 X3D (2023) subtype G733PYV (Exact: "G733PYV-LL046W") which is currently still the most powerful gaming laptop in the world, but i want to get on top of everything so i chose to RAM upgrade from the stock DDR5-4800 to DDR5-6400 and i successfully did so by replacing with the following 32GB kit of 6400MHz:

Kingston Fury Impact XMP 32GB 6400MT/s DDR5 CL38 SODIMM (part number "KF564S38IBK2-32")

It boots, but it only gets to the automatic 4800 MT/s because that's the stock config of RAM in this laptop, and the problem is that ASUS in recent years locks the BIOS'es in most ROG (Republic of Gamers) laptops and refuses to cooperate to give users freedom to set what they want for the device that is theirs. They say its "to ensure stability", but ive seen countless of posts that others unlocked it with a HEX editor or something and were successful to load XMP profiles of choice and set RAM clock speed to the value that the RAM is binned for, as such this new Fury Impact RAM i inserted is binned for 6400 and therefore, I'd very much like to run it at that speed or any slightly lower speed that turns out  to be stable for my laptop. I will find the stable config, but in order to do that, i need XMP/RAM settings in the BIOS menu which is totally absent in the locked version of all BIOS revisions, im currently on ver. 334 (the latest one released for Asus G733 2023 - Specifically on 9th Oct 2024) as any RAM related things in the BIOS, in all subtabs, is the total RAM amount in GB's. There is no XMP or RAM settings, timings, etc, menu visible, this is what a locked Asus BIOS looks like. The AMD Overclock menu only pertains to the CPU and doesn't display any clocks that affect RAM operating speed.

Concretely, please enable the advanced menu's or at the very least RAM settings/XMP menu, in G733PYV.334 (File attached to this topic), the pure BIOS ROM file that i extracted from the Asus Drivers site BIOS binary.

I'd very much thank anyone that wants to use his skills to do it for me, because i can't edit UEFI files and wouldn't know which header or section the lock switch is at. I will buy the guy who pulls it off a coffee.

ACEPC T11 (x5-z8350) Bios "Advanced" features unlocked

Hi, I'd appreciate if an expert could modify this bios file and make the "ADVANCED" tab visible in the bios.

As the bios sits now, it is trash and nothing is visible or adjustable.

I don't know if you can unlock ALL of the ADVANCED features, but I'm hoping for CPU, iGPU, POWER, and RAM related options to become visible.

I've seen these features enabled on youtube videos, and have used UEFITool to find the options in the bios, but am lost on how to actually do anything about it. I banged my head against the wall for way too long and thought that I'd ask for help.

PS: The bios is the same file for the T8 and the T11, in case you were wondering.

gigabyte ga-945gcm-s2c clock ratio 6x locked

Good evening

I'm having problems with this Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2C motherboard. I have 3 motherboards with the same problem. The clock ratio doesn't save in the original BIOS. I updated to the F6D version and it always stays at 6x. I tested it with the Core2 Duo E7500 and the Pentium Dual Core E5400 processors but there's no solution. I change it to 11x in the BIOS and save it and when I quit it goes back to 6x.
Any BIOS modifications with the unlocked clock ratio?

Hello i have Acer Aspire 3 A314-22 with insyde BIOS, i want help modding it to unlock all the hidden options, i have 3200MHz freq ram but my laptop is using it with 2400MHz, i want to set max freq ram to 3200MHz, with unlocked BIOS, i did see that my BIOS support overclocking with H2OUVE but wasn't able to do anything. i have attached my bios file. Adding Multiplicator CPU Speed ABIT KT7A v1.3

Hello guys,


I found this forum during google research for BIOS mods. It seems this is my last chance to find an solution for my ABIT KT7A. I already tried some tools, but they cannot do what I want.


During holiday I planned to do for a long time dreamed project: Retro gaming PC from 90ties to begin of 2000. This PC should include an motherboard with ISA, PCI and AGP slot.
It should run DOS, W95, W98 and WXP and include Sound Blaster ISA, 3Dfx PCI and Geforce 4 4200ti AGP.
Last important thing is: it should run between 100Mhz-1,5Ghz (at least from 300Mhz). The reason is that some games are CPU speed related.


Witch the ABIT KT7A v1.3 I found an nearly perfect and in budged motherboard. Only the lowest frequency could not be reached. The CPU multiplicator starts with 5x100 what means the lowest frequency is 500Mhz.


Is it possible an if yes could someone add multiplicator 1 – 1,5 – 2 – 2,5 – 3 – 3,5 – 4 – 4,5?
Make it sense? Or is it not possible due to mainboard HW architecture, CPU (Athlon XP 2000+) or chipset? Maybe stability issues?
Microcode update would be nice, but not strongly necessary. Its just bonus.

Does my Packard Bell Easy Note TV44HC supports 8GB RAM modules?

Anybody can confirm or deny, that my Packard Bell EasyNote TV44HC supports 8GB RAM modules?

The reason behind my question is:
I have recently bought 2 8GB RAM modules, same parameters as the 4GB module my laptop came with.
If i insert both modules the laptop does not boot.
If i use one of the 8GB modules alone the laptop boots, but Windows blue screens on boot.
With this module i can enter BIOS which shows the 8GB RAM installed.
If i insert the original 4GB module into bank 1 and this 8GB into bank two, BIOS shows 12GB RAM installed,
but blue screen on OS boot.
If i insert the other 8GB module alone the laptop does not even boot.

I am confused, could it be both 8GB modules are bad or simply the laptop does not support 8GB modules?

Hello,

Can I please ask for your help to add the microcode for Xeon E3 1245 V2 to the bios of Asus P8H61-m pro. My son built a NAS and unfortunately the Xeon cpu we bought seems to be not supported by the default bios.

Current CPU: I5 2500

Future CPU: Xeon E3-1245v2

As title suggests, I have an older board that's used in a home made Arcade machine, but the BIOS has become corrupted during an update and I can't even get the screen to turn on. Therefore, I need to flash the removable MX bios chip manually. The BIOS is AMI based as far as I can tell from the manuals. Version 7.50 of the BIOS is the latest according to what is on ASRock's website, however, it's just an .exe file that contains flashing software, and 7-zip doesn't seem to be able to extract the actual flash files needed.

 Toshiba satellite C870-148
 processeur : i7 3940 xm (refroidi par air et par eau)
 mosfet : refroidissement alphacool cooper (refroidissement par air)
 processeur graphique : rx5700xt
 Mémoire RAM : 16 Go 1600 MHz
 SSD NME2 : Samsung 970pro 1to 
 fenêtres 11
 
(ce pc est une expérience un cobaye le mais est de le pousser le plus possible hors limite)  
Le bios a été mod unlock par pytonick et très bien bosséSmile pour unlocker le bios.(bios insyde 6.80 2012) 
Seulement:
Meme mod unlock je ne peux pas régler le voltage, le multiplicateur et les fréquences ainsi que les étages de puissance cpu(mosfet).
Et à la possibilité de créer sa ou de débloquer sa ?
j'aimerai pouvoir mettre 32gb de ram dedans(chipset HM76) 
Dans le bios j'ai l'option 1600/1800/2180mhz ram et ddr3 et ddr3L mais je ne sais pas si le chipset peut le gérer. 
y at-il un moyen de faire fonctionner 32gb 2180mhz ou 1800 ou 1600 ?

Hello all!
I have Clevo NL51NU with R7 5825U
I try mod any version bios files via H2OUVE
H2OUVE save modification, and when i try update BIOS - BIOS updated (version changed), but UEFI haven't changes - only default settings, wo unlocked advanced settings etc
I try upgrade and downgrade version - all the same

I try use FPTW, it get error 201 (wrong platform). May be because i have amd platform, not intel?

I need unlock advanced settings, want change memory allocation for iGPU (now only default 512m for Vega8)
Maybe you can help me with BIOS mod...

Hello,
I would like to perform a BIOS backup of my functioning notebook using the FPT tool.
I started the command line as administrator and entered the following line: fptw64 -d backup.bin
Then I should actually create the backup. Instead I get the error message Error 201 cannot be run on the current platform.

Can someone please help me. I'm very new to these things.

Bricked HP Pavilion 500-010xt after BIOS FLash

Hi, I flashed the BIOS on a

mainboard, with Board Label

from

to

. Using
Code:
Windows 8.1
with the
Code:
safuwin.exe
utility in

Powershell
. Once the process completed, I powercycled the machine and entered the BIOS setup. I checked the BIOS revision version and it stated bios revision

8.17 Rev. A
(all is good I thought), then I exited the BIOS setup. Now only a blank screen is displayed with no signal at monitor.
I have tried creating a usb medium with

FAT32
filesystem and placed
Code:
JOS_817.ROM
file now renamed

AMIBOOT.ROM
at root. No boot to medium.
I have tried creating a bootable medium with

UNetbootin
containing

FreeDOS
then dropping in

along with

. The machine will not boot (screen blank).
I have tried simultaneously pressing ctrl ++ and shift ++ at boot and no luck. Is this more than BIOS set to quiet boot somehow?
What are your thoughts on how to correct this situation if possible?
