[Request] 11th Gen CPU support to Asrock H470M-HDV/M.2

Hi everyone this is my first post. Today I've received my "new" 11600k cpu,  I thought all LGA1200 motherboards were compatible with all gen11 cpus but sadly discovered it was not compatible with my motherboard ASROCK H470M-HDV/M.2. The error I get is black screen, no image but fans turn on.
I've been looking all day online for some information about BIOS modding but I'm not sure how to proceed.
Some asrock motherboards with same chipset received a BIOS update to support gen11 cpus but not mine.
For example H470 Steel Legend with BIOS 1.40 GEN11 was not supported but with BIOS 1.60 it is supported.
Same for H470M-STX BIOS 2.00 unsuported gen11, BIOS 2.10 with gen11 support.
I have H470M-HDV/M.2 with the latest official bios: BIOS 1.40
Any help would be appreciated, if I'm missing anything or did something wrong please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Hello, i bought a Z170 oem medion board, and i would like to use a i7-7700k cpu on it. When i insert the cpu and try to boot, it just spins fans, but no display. On a pentium G4400, the board works. The i7-7700k is also working on a friend's z z170 asus board. I suspect this bios only has intel 6 gen support, but some Z170 boards officially support kaby lake cpus. Can someone please look into adding kaby lake support to this bios? thanks.

In the attachment, is the stock bios. Please add 7 gen (kaby lake ) support to it. Thanks.
Its ami aptio bios btw.

[QUESTION] Can an ASRock 775V88+ BIOS work in a standard 775V88

The ASRock 775V88 and 775V88+ are very similar motherboards and all of their components are the same. I wonder if it's possible to turn a 775V88 to a 775V88+ by just flashing the BIOS of the latter onto the former. I'd rather not try this because what if there is some difference between the two motherboards, and this might render it effectively bricked?

Hi all :-)

I have a Thinkpad W550s bios with Advanced Menu unlocked. Despite the Advanced Menu is unlocked, the CFG Lock option is still hidden. Please, can you modify my bios to unhide the CFG Lock option?

This is the dump:
https://www.sendspace.com/file/sejso8

Just in case it helps, the following is from a tutorial that I followed to modify the UEFY variables with RU (but it did not work):
CFG Lock, VarStoreInfo (VarOffset/VarName): 0x7A, VarStore: 0x6
Name: CpuProtocolSetupVar

Thank you A LOT  Blush

Help with bios update

I tried to get the updated version of my motherboard's BIOS, but when I tried to flash it with Afudos it did not allow me to boot the computer and the following message appeared:

Boot block compatible versión ver 003

Bad bios checksum. Starting Bios Recovery.

I got that error when trying all the existing bios dumps on the page with serial numbers of a model similar to my motherboard and one of them the most updated one from another site exactly the same problem I don't think all the dumps are corrupt.

P5GC-TVM/S Original
P5GC-TVM
P5GC-TVM/SE
P5GC-TVM SE/S

Those are the model serial numbers of the motherboards whose variation between them is the number of SATA ports and the absence or presence of certain extra elements, but they are essentially the same motherboard.

I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. I left the original BIOS and the one I tried to flash.

Original bios:

.rom   AmericanMegatrendsInc.-0302.rom (Size: 512 KB / Downloads: 0)

Bios flashed:

.rom   P5GC-TVM-TWPC-0801.ROM (Size: 512 KB / Downloads: 0)

ASUS TUF GAMING FX506HC BIOS WITH TPM

Hello,

I am looking to modify the BIOS for my ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506HC laptop. I have version 311 of the BIOS, and I would like to disable TPM for better compatibility with certain software.

I used AMIBCP to disable TPM, but when trying to flash the modified BIOS via EZ Flash, it refuses to accept the file, likely due to signature issues.

Could someone help me sign or mod this BIOS? Below are the links to both the original and modified BIOS files: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Gamin...el=FX506HC (original bios)

About Dudu2002

Hello

He wrote to me on PW, a guy with the nickname: Dudu2002. I paid him $5. He modified my BIOS so that.... WL was removed, but none of the 4 Wi-Fi cards I put in the laptop worked. It was inactive and did not show the Wi-Fi network. Then the guy started writing me that it's not a bios problem but a network, card or laptop problem. Pathetic. Currently I have to spend another $ for the original BIOS load, reprogram the chip to get the laptop to work properly. I do not recommend the guy highly.

Unable to enable TPM on ASUS laptop after motherboard repair

I'm having trouble enabling TPM 2.0 on my ASUS laptop, which is preventing me from playing Valorant. When I try to launch the game, I receive an error message stating:

Quote:Your account does not meet the following requirements in order to play - TPM 2.0 enabled.

Upon checking the TPM Management Console, I see a message stating "Compatible TPM cannot be found". My laptop's UEFI Firmware settings do not have any option related to TPM. The only related option available is for enabling or disabling Secure Boot.

What I've tried:

1. Restoring Secure Boot Keys to factory settings
2. Resetting the BIOS
3. Reflashing the latest BIOS
4. Performing a CMOS reset.

None of these attempts have resolved the issue.

Background:

I can confirm that my laptop originally had a TPM chip, as I successfully installed Windows 11 on it a few months after its launch without using any TPM-related workarounds. However, I reverted to Windows 10 after a brief period due to personal preferences. Additionally, Asus lists my device as being compatible with Windows 11 (https://www.asus.com/microsite/2021/windows11/device/).

Approximately a year ago, I accidentally damaged my laptop's LCD panel. In an attempt to fix it, I tried connecting an internal LCD panel from another laptop, which unfortunately resulted in damaging the motherboard. I sent the laptop to a local repair shop, and they returned it after two months, explaining that the delay was due to difficulty in acquiring a compatible 144Hz display.

At the time, I didn't inquire about which specific components they repaired or replaced on the motherboard. Now, I'm considering the possibility that they might have had to disable TPM and/or Intel ME to make the laptop functional with the replaced components.

Additional Information:

Currently, the Intel ME option under PCH-FW in the UEFI firmware settings appears as disabled for my device. The laptop has an Intel i7-9750H processor. The product page for this processor indicates support for Intel Software Guard Extensions (which is related to Intel ME), but HWiNFO System Summary shows it as disabled.

Furthermore, while the processor's product page states support for Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x), CPU-Z shows it as disabled, even though I have enabled Virtualization in the UEFI Firmware Settings.

Questions:

1. Is TPM related to Intel SGX and/or Intel ME?
2. Could the repair shop have disabled TPM, Intel ME, or replaced components affecting these features?
3. Is it possible that the repair shop replaced the PCH but forgot to flash the ME firmware, resulting in Intel ME, Intel SGX, and TPM all being disabled?

Any advice or information to help resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I have a Ryzen 8700G on an MSI Pro B650-S Wifi board. How can one increase the UMA vram to 32GB. The maximum it shows on the UEFI BIOS screen is 16G.

Why 32GB UMA: Then one can use ROCm and gets a 32GB graphics card for running inferencing servers (LLMs)

Another question: Can this dedicated UMA vram be increased further if the system has more memory?

Lenovo Y900-34ISZ OEM Board (also called ECS/MEDION Z170H4-EA) add kabylake support

Hello, posting this a second time because the previous thread sadly got deleted, maybe because i got misunderstood seems like.

So i will try to be more clear this time.
I have bought a Lenovo Y900-34ISZ OEM Board (that is also called ECS/MEDION Z170H4-EA, or lenovo skybay, same board different names).
I do not know if it has kaby lake support because when i insert my Pentium G4600 or my I7-7700k (The i7 might be broken, because the last motherboard it was in dies because of power surge), it doesn't post.
When i insert Pentium G4400, it posts and works.

Here is cpu-z mainboard page once again:
https://www.mediafire.com/view/bhsomao4b...p.png/file

Here is the current BIOS backup of this board that i made using Universal BIOS Backup toolkit:
(Uploaded to Mediafire because for some reason if i upload in attachments it just disaapears and says "x" at the bottom of the screen)
https://www.mediafire.com/file/zeufpj4rs...A.rom/file

Please can someone check if the bios has kaby lake support or not, and add if its not present.

I also found that if you search bios for this board under the name ( Lenovo Y900-34ISZ bios update), and extract the exe, there is a text file with changelog. In that file, one of the entries say "Update Kaby lake Microcode" or something like that. But i am not sure, as this board is undocumented online pretty much.

Is there any way to remove Battery White List on Lenovo B5400?

I bought today used original battery. Battery on other laptop
(Different Model was seen properly).

Battery model is L11S6Y01 exactly the same model as my old battery.
HW Monitor Says it have only  1,7% wear level and it is on Sanyo Cells. And it's charged to 15%

I unplugged CMOS battery, unplugged normal Battery, and fully discharged any voltage from my motherboard.
It still saysduring boot  "the battery installed is not supported by this system and will not charge".
On booted Windows it says "Genuine Battery is Not attached"
"The battery installed is not supported by this system and will not charge. Please replace the battery with the correct Lenovo battery for this system"

Remedial help running LvarWin32V221.exe

I am in the process of installing a new system board in a Lenovo IdeaPad 3. I came across a set of utilities that will allow the information from the old BIOS to be injected into the BIOS on the new system board. They came in a zip file named Lenovo IdeaPad.zip that I downloaded from this site. I have tried to run LvarWin32V221.exe and LvarWin64V221.exe but have not any success in running the programs and reading the relevant information. When I try to run the programs Windows 10 returns a system error that either WinIo32.dll or WinIo64.dll could not be found. Both the sys and dll files are in the system32 folder. Would someone be kind enough to tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hey there!
I own QNAP TS-h2490FU NAS device. It's by default operate on Epyc 7232P "Rome. I also own Epyc 7313P "Milan". After direct CPU swap the NAS won't load all the QTS but it runs again after install again 7232P CPU. I would like that someone can modify (if possible) the default BIOS file to replace "Rome" by "Milan" support. I can pay for that if it would be done professionaly.
Here is the link for latest BIOS file:
