[REQUEST] Acer Aspire E1-572 SLIC 2.1 Integration

Hello, could someone please integrate SLIC 2.1 into this specific BIOS? It has already been unlocked feature wise but I'd like SLIC 2.1 too if that is possible.

Flash original Lenovo bios using DOS

Hi all,

I need help flashing an original bios from Lenovo. I tried using their BIOS Update Bootable CD tool running from bootable USB, but it wont let me flash the bios. I got an error saying the AC adapter needs to be plugged in, while it is actually plugged in. Laptop isn't recognizing the power sources correctly after I flashed a bios with removed whitelist. So I'm hoping to resolve this issue by flashing the original one.

I've been thinking that it might be possible to extract the original bios image from .exe or .iso provided by Lenovo and flash it using some DOS utility. Please, can anyone tell me how to do this and/or provide me the neccesary files/tools?

Hi Guys,

I was looking into removing the whitelist myself, but got a bit lost with all the information at hand and what to look for exactly and editing the file.
I posted in another thread but figured maybe it was better to start my own thread. Apparently in the other thread secure boot could not be disabled, for me it is possible, if you guys want to give it a try let me know would be appreciated.

Vendor: Lenovo
Model: G710
BIOS ver: 8ECN21WW
EC ver: 8EEC13WW

Bios settings:

BIOS Back Flash - Enabled

Secure Boot - Disabled
Secure Boot Status - Disabled
Platform Mode - Standard
Secure Boot Mode - Standard

Boot Mode - UEFI (do I need to change this to Legacy?)

Hope you guys are willing to see if it will work with secure boot disabled, other thing i noticed is that using the backup tool it said for "Type: Others BIOS/ACPI 2.0", not sure if this matters anything, the BIOS is InsydeH2O.
If you need more information please let me know, or if you have easy steps how to do it and what to look for I don't mind doing it myself.

Hi everyone,

I have an HP Pavilion dv5-2045dx and I need the wifi whitelist removed from my BIOS. If it is any help, I want to replace my Intel WifiLink 1000 BGN with an Atheros AR9285.

This is the current up to date BIOS:

Got absolutely no help from Lenovo today. For those who do.... ???

Have to replace my WiFi NIC, but got a message during boot: unauthorized hardware

Are you able to remove the whitelist from the BIOS of my B580? You're my last hope to get that fixed. Here's the info you need:

Alienware Area-51 m15x X36 UNLOCKED BIOS

Hello,

I have an old Alienware Area-51 m15x R-1 laptop, i am requesting to have this bios unlocked. I have tried myself but can not seem to figure it out. A moderator( AHMED HOSSAM) here was nearly complete but a few days before finishing the bios disapeared. All i would like to do is overclock my cpu(X9000) about 10%-20%. Any help or guidance would be most appreciated.

first of all, I really want to thank you guys for what you're doing.

I just got a G500 with i3-3110m and I kindly ask you to remove the whitelist from my BIOS.

Lenovo G500 78CN25WW(V2.03) - couldn't find dl-link, there's only 78CN23WW(V2.01) on the Lenovo-Website.

Hello,

I've been having difficulties installing an Intel 5100 WLAN card in this Asus laptop; I get a code 10 error with that card in, both in Windows 7 and Windows 8. With Ubuntu however, the same card works fine.

I'm believe that Asus has a BIOS-level whitelist check for approved WLAN cards as well; has anyone faced this issue on Asus systems as well? can this whitelist be modified or removed altogether?

The original card is:

bios-mods' fans and experts,

I need to make Reques inside Wifi / WWAN Whitelist Removal Thread.

In order to do so, I am collecting all necessary data so the request is complete.

After I collected all T430 data, regarding bios etc, now I need to input WWAN card data.

WWAN card I would like to insert is Ericsson F3507G 3G+GPS..

But I have no PCI-VEN data about card!
I have FRU p/n: 43y6513

I ll get all other info, like FCC ID, IC# etc etc, but is it possible to find out PCI\VEN # so I may proceed with Wifi / WWAN Whitelist Removal request for T430-2349 laptop???
