Add Broadwell support to Fujitsu D3348B1X

I bought a Fujitsu D3348-B1X thinking that it will support my V4 Xeon but now it's clear it only officially supports V3 Haswell. 

 Fujitsu released a newer board D3348-B2X which is very similar but has some differences ( the mention the TPM for instance ). 

 I'd like to add support for Broadwell to my D3348-B1X as I think the harware is perfectly capable ( has Intel C612 ). 
 I understand that just adding Broadwell microcodes to it might not be enough ( I'm curious what else is needed ) .
 One option would be to use some tools and mod the D3348-B2X BIOS ( seems like AMI BIOS so MMTOOL or UBU ? ).

 I'd appreciate any ideas on how to proceed. I'm willing to do the work myself but I could use some pointers.

Samsung NP900X3D with partial bios

Hello ,

i try to fix a dead Samsung NP900X3D laptop... with a Phoenixsecure Tiano bios that won't let me acces to boot priority order list. It's actually empty (see file attached)..

Even if i try F4 for recovery i will end to a page as attached...

kind of bricked isn't it ?

I tried many setting in the bios with no luck... My last chance was to try to flash the bios from a usb stick..


Do you think this laptop has to end up in the rubbish bin ?

My bios is P02ABK version, there is no way to find the bios file as i was trying to follow the steps from there https://www.bios-mods.com/bios-recovery/...-recovery/

Downloading the updater from samsung et extracting file with 7z, i don't find any file like i should : .WPH, .ROM, or similar

Asus VivoPC M32CD Kabylake compatibility

I apologize for my translated English. I purchased this PC to create a NAS at a very low price but I can't update the bios towards kabylake. I am getting bios incompatible error. The only bios I can install are 0902 and 1102 (1101 I think so but I haven't tried). If I mount the i3-7100 the PC does not post and remains with a black screen. With 6600 everything works. Can anyone help me make this mainboard compatible with Kabylake? Thank you

Good morning, mabuhay! from Philippines.

Can someone help me extract the bios rom for my laptop model? I really can't extract and dont know what application I should use on it. Maybe Acer put some unbreakable security on it. 


Reason for Bios flashing using SPI PROGRAMMER: Errors occur when after sleeping mode of my laptop, it tooks 1 -3 attempts before it will open somewhat a bug or what and I can't reflash bios from acer website and it says " The bios file is not allowed to flash. The process will be terminated." 

That error occured when I successfully bios flashed my new laptop.

Your help is much appreciated. <3

There are three .bin files after extracting the .exe, the one that's for my model is the file named 03564F6A.bin

I've tried the general method from the important threads without success. When i try to reflash the bios, it says the image is corrupted. 
In case it's really not possible to remove the whitelist on this bios, i'm open to do an ID swap instead. I was thinking of upgrading to an Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 card. I already have the card as i bought it a few months ago for another laptop so i can test if it would work before buying it for this HP. (I tried to get the PCI ID installing the card after turning it on but i didn't see it in device manager. Maybe i'm supposed to install it before it boots into windows?).

Any help is appreciated. I've spent several days trying to do this on my own but i'm kinda giving up.

Hello, I ask for help with the BIOS mod, I want to replace the Wi-Fi module, According to official bios sp54724, I tried local BIOS mods, but for some reason when inserting a USB flash drive, and rebooting later gives an error indicating caps lock 2 times, until the cmos is reset. maybe someone has such a bios?

Hi there,

Working on a project bringing an old Toshiba Satellite A300D PSAK0C-SH808C back from the dead. Upgraded its processor from the stock AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64 to TL-68. Ever since, the BIOS emits two loud beeps on startup that throws a generic read error. I'm able to press F1 to proceed to boot Windows and from there everything runs normally, so I suspect that simply because the BIOS does not expect the new part ID, it's throwing the error even though the part is compatible.

I don't mind having to press F1 on startup each time I boot, but the beep is the part that really irritates me due to how loud it is. In the current BIOS (Phoenix V2.80 for 32-bit Windows) there's no option to disable the beep. I was wondering if it would be possible to see if:

1) The option to disable BIOS beep might be an unlockable feature of V2.80
2) It's possible to have the TL-68 processor be accepted as valid hardware

I'd happily tinker with any other settings that are unlockable in this BIOS as well if they aren't too much trouble to unlock, but my main focus is the beep. If there's the ability to disable that, everything else is gravy.

Hi there,

Would love to pay 100$ bios mod bounty to the person who can whitelist the WWAN Slot of my Lenovo Thinkpad P14s Gen4 AMD.

I dumped the complete BIOS with the CH341A and I think I could also overwrite it directly. Its a Winbond 25Q128JVSQ SPI. Perfectly readable thru the CH341A as far as I can tell.

The goal would be to be able to use the Quectel RM520N-GL.

I have a processor with CPUID 6FB

BIOS version F20
The firmware itself has a digital signature and to write a modified one need a modified version of HPQFlash.

Can someone help with modifying the BIOS file and does anyone have a modified HPQFlash?

hello, i have laptop lenovo G500 with cpu intel i7-3840QM and motherboard HM76 without gpu. i want to install egpu but this model cant detect egpu. I have been looking for information related to this problem. apparently it has something to do with my laptop's bios which needs to be unlocked.
