Lenovo V570 Wifi Whitelist removal

I have seen this posted in the forums previously, but all the links are dead.

Bought a new wifi card for my laptop, but this card seems to not be whitelisted. I was hoping someone has a fix to remove the whitelisting from this bios.

Hex-core support on Sun X4600 M2

I have a Sun X4600 M2, which officially supports Shanghain processors at HT1 speeds. I patched the BIOS by replacing the microcode with microcodes extracted from a Supermicro H8QME-2 BIOS and tried running it with a pair of hex-core 8431's. It booted, but the CPUs initialized as dual-core Opteron 8331's, and only a single CPU was detected. The BIOS also claimed that the CPU was stepping C1 (not D0 as they actually are).
It appears that the HT links to other CPUs are not initialized at all, in addition to the CPU being incorrectly detected.
Anyone know what's up? Obviously I missed some chunk in the BIOS that needs to be updated, but any idea what?

Hi guys,

I hope this thread won't be ignored like the one on another forum.
I'll paste the exact request I did:

I noticed that there are no responses to my request.
I'll try this way:

Manufacturer: ASUS / Pegatron
motherboard: M2N-VM/S (OEM)
bios: AMI

The motherboard is IDENTICAL to M2N-VM DVI, except for the DVI output, I flashed M2N-VM DVI bios on it.
Flashing apparently was succesful, but the post hangs on a message "copying hdcpkey from eeprom" and doesn't let me proceed.

EZ Crashfree 3 doesn't let me revert to the original bios, cause it's recognized like a bios for a different mainboard.

So I'm asking you if you can unlock original bios for quads and make it compatible with M2N-VM DVI, to pass Crashfree 3.
Or if you can make the M2N-VM DVI bios compatible with my motherboard.

Let me know if it's possible to do something or not.

i would like to overclock it but everything is hidden because of the HP bios. i dont really what kind of bios it is its just a HP bios it doesnt say something like phoenix or ami etc. sorry if i posted in the wrong section.
it has a pentium 4 @3.0ghz single core

I got a laptop with a insyde bios and want to unlock all the mutlipliers, gpu settings and other things. Any way how? Im pretty good with tech so its not like teaching a 3 year old Image may be NSFW.

Here i attached my bios file. Please can anyone unlock it for me.I want to use my IGP for my laptop with hackintosh. ( because ATI 7670M not supported ).

Lenovo Z500 Whitelist Removal (71CN51WW)

Hi there,

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z500 - and did not realise there was a wifi whitelist until I installed a new card with 5GHz wifi.

Hello,
I have the Motherboard of an PackardBell iPower G3610 in my PC as I got it from my neighbours old PC it is running with a GTX 260 and a Core i5 750. But I want to overclock it a little bit.

Is this possible? As they do not provide a BIOS on their Site, maybe I can dump the BIOS with some tool? If something goes wrong I also have a Willem Programmer to read and write the BIOS. Image may be NSFW.

Acer Aspire 5552 - Bios Issue!

A few weeks ago my I closed my laptop like normal and next morning it did not start again, just a black screen, it doesn't boot and all it does is turn the blue light from the power button and the other laptop leds and the fan like normal for a few seconds and then reduce it to minimum and stay like that with the black screen doing nothing and I have reasons to think that the bios is the problem and I did all I could to find the issue and that's the only thing that remains and I want to flash a new one.. the problem is that I had never done that and I'm a complete newbie in this domain.

What I want to ask you guys is a step by step guide to flash my new bios.
I have an acer aspire 5552 and I've downloaded the bios from here: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers just put "Aspire 5552" in the "Search by Product Model" bar and it will show up. The problem is that I don't know what to do next and all I know is that I need a USB STICK for flashing and that I need to press FN+ESC to start it.

Please help, thanks!

Hi there,

I bought a Intel Wireless-AC 7260 + Bluetooth, PCIe Half Mini Card (HMWWB) and I'm unsure if I have to flash my BIOS. Afaik these card isn't official supported by Lenovo (the newest is the Intel 6300).

So my question is, If I have to flash my BIOS.

If yes, please create a mod for v1.39 and as LiveCD, cause I don't run Windows.

How to check, if Microcode is already in BIOS?

Hello!

I would like to know, how can I extract the information from a BIOS and verfiy that the microcode for the specific CPU is integrated?
Sometimes the support page of the notebook manufacturer is not accurate, or maybe they added support for new CPUs in a BIOS update but the changelogs are not public.
So maybe we can get this info by looking for some specific string inside the BIOS files and check it by ourselves...

Hello,

Can any body unlock all the menus from my bios?

I`m interested in using Hackintosh with enabling/disabling
- AHCI for sata. (I have SSD + HDD)
- Enable/disable intel vertualization technology and vt-d (because Hackintosh doesn`t boot without cpus=1 command)
- And any other options needed for hackintosh


And maybe for CPU Overclock for the future. (not that important for now)
