LENOVO M920q bios advance menu hidden menu unlock

I have Lenovo M720q with I5 8400 cpu , since this small tiny pc is designed for 35W tdp cpu , I want to unlock advance bios menu to control cpu tdp as well other hidden menu , I can dump for you the bios file then please help me to edit it and unlock the region, and tell me step by step how to do ,  hoping somebody could help me with a relatively simple request. Would be happy to donate 25 bucks over if succesful.

Hello, I've recently upgraded the above laptop with more RAM from 4GB to 32GB; It turns out it has automatically reserved 2GB of that to GPU dedicated memory. Can the Bios be modified or enable advanced settings in aim to adjust the dedicated GPU memory to something like 512MB?

Laptop in question

CPUZ = HP Model: 87C6 36.60, Bios: AMI F.25 - AMD AGESA PicassoPI-FP5 1.0.0.E

I'm looking to have my BIOS unlocked on the Tongfang GM7PX8N laptop.
The laptop comes with a I9-13900HX that according to Intel is an unlocked and overclockable CPU.
My laptop system integrator feels differently and has locked down the BIOS.

This laptop is also known as XMG Neo 17, PC Specialist Recoil 17, Eluktronic MECH-17 GP2, and Medion Erazer Beast X40.

HI i bought a new laptop yesterday and want to enable its advanced menu and overclocking options in bios so that i can extend its iGPU  vram from 512mb to 2gb.

Hello.

I would like to unlock advanced options in BIOS to easily modify Intel Turbo Boost, change RAM frequency, CPU multiplier, low voltage and voltage offset etc. This motherboard have a very basic "HP Setup Utility" Bios.

Specs:

- Desktop HP OMEN X 900-003la

UEFI editor(add 2nd hidden advanced menu)

Hello I need to help.
I want to add access to a hidden setup->Advanced menu.
Setup contains 2 advanced menus,
0x2712
0x2719 (this one is hidden)

I understand that I need to replace one item in Menu with 0x2719, however my Menu contains doublets so I do not understand howto mod it.
I assume I cannot access the old menu which has been replaced then?

[REQUEST] HP Compaq Presario CQ40-313BR Whitelist Removal

I have a really old HP Compaq Presario CQ40-313BR with Insyde BIOS F.66 and I wish to remove the whitelist so that I can replace the wifi card without getting the dreaded "Unsupported wireless" message on startup.

I tried hard but could not find the bios files and flasher on HP website because the model is unsupported for a long time. I also do not have the original disk that came with the notebook.

I used the Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 to download a BIOS backup and I also used an SPI-programmer with a SOIC8 clip to download the BIOS directly from the chip, which is of model MX25L8005M2C. I don't know why, but checking with a hex diff tool I see that backups do not match exactly (although they mostly match). I don't know which of the two I would use in case I need to restore. I attached both to this request.

By searching this forum I found a reference to a bios which is perhaps close enough to mine:

This one was once modded by TTAV134 as discussed here, but the files (posted in 2011) are nowhere to be found.

Even if the modded files are around somewhere, I don't know if they are compatible with my machine, and maybe it would be safer to mod my own bios backup files.

I tried to follow this guide https://www.bios-mods.com/wiki/How_to_Re...nsyde_BIOS to edit the bios code, and although I did found and replace the relevant bytes in the ImHex hex editor on the running EzH20 proccess, I could not complete the procedures. It seems to me that HzH20 does not perceive that changes were made by other proccess, so when I "save as.." the file is equal to the original. I tried using different versions of HzH20, but maybe it is because Windows 11 has stricter memory protections? Don't really know.

Anyway, I noticed that there is still someone else reading this forum in 2023. Maybe you can point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance.

Hi all! I have the same problem as the guy who asked for this before just the model of the laptop is a bit different as well as version of bios. If you are able to help me with this problem will be cool.

Since bios 307 or 308 (cant remember) I lost the ability to undervolt my CPU (i7-9750h) either with ThrottleStop or Intel XTU. I want a modded bios that will let me undervolt my CPU again to reduce temps. I am uploading my dump bios (I think it is from Windows update firmware) and the latest official bios from asus in the zip file just in case it is needed. I can update my bios to the 311 official, I saw here that there can be problems updating unlocked bios from the windows downloaded bios.

Anyway, are there any more mods to apply to this bios?  I will be so happy just with the undervolt option unlock but want to know if there are other options.
I have upgraded my bios to the 310 asus original, seems to be the same as before.

Bios settings for RAM - Lenovo Ideapad 510s-13IKB

Hi All,

My laptop (Lenovo Ideapad 510s-13IKB) is limited to 8 GB of RAM (that is what Lenovo is saying). At the moment I have 8 GB installed and everything works fine.

Windows shows me that max for this laptop is 32 GB :O After bios unlock I can see that it has 4 dimm slots in bios but only 1 physical slot for RAM exist. That would make sense right now 4 slots each 8 GB then total would be 32 GB.

Now, all slots besides one that exist on motherboard are disable in bios. If I enable them will this also unlock ability to populate slot with 16 or 32 GB RAM stick or is this locked to 8 GB by hardware not bios?

Please see photos of my bios and see if you have any idea. Also if anyone have any recommendation to optimize memory settings please share.

Server Board Intel S1200V3RP how to update very old BIOS?

[*]I have setup with:
[*]Intel Pentium G3220 (it's just for hosting backup so)
[*]2x4GB Goodram 1600MHz ECC
[*]Intel S1200V3RP

It has BIOS numbered R01.04.0002 and looking by this page: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...r-efi.html

It can go up to R03.04.0006. Which is huge difference and lot's of bug fixes which I had on this board.

Looking by the mainstream boards this BIOS upgrade looks like challenge. Is there someone who knows how to do it?
