[REQUEST] Gigabyte Z370 Gaming 7/F15 BIOS pre Spectre microcode+HPET disable

Hi all !
I need someone to inject pre Spectre F5H BIOS microcode into the latest F15 BIOS if possible and to disable HPET.
It was well known that Spectre updates crippled performance a bit on i7 8700K and HPET also had negative impact on performance.

F15 is probably final version and I’m sure it would be helpful for others with this board as well.
i7 8700K is still perfectly capable CPU and this board was very popular among enthusiasts.It just need a little more oomph.

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for someone that could help me to get a unlocked bios for my laptop. I want to see if there is a possibility increase the cpu multiplier or bclk clock. I know the risks, my temperatures are around 60 degrees so i still have some headroom. My laptop also has a GTX 950M but the core clock is limited at a offset of +135 mhz. I know that it's possible to extend the limit but i'm not really experienced with bios modding. Anyone that is able to help me ?

I used AFUWIN to save the bios.

BIOS don't know PCIe and black screen

My Laptop Model is Toshiba Tecra R950, When i connected with eGPU with express card slot the laptop will be black screen when i turn on. so i try any method like go to sleep mod and turn on (not work and black screen) try too mod (don't  have HOT plug and some app dose work with my Bin bios) all of this  not work because I'm so poor about code program. So Who can help me to build new bios on my laptop for fix this problem.

Hi,

I've been trying to mod my bios to add more settings, I just want all available options enabling if possible, including turbo boost control, my laptop overheats and I'd like to be able to adjust the clock speed etc

I have the bios editing tools but it refuses to load the settings string  Angry obviously beyond my skill level so I was hoping someone could help me out.

Hi all!
I have a problem "no RAID support in BIOS"
Machinist X99 MR9A PRO motherboard
after switching SATA to RAID mode, it does not start and loses disks
ctrl+I login is not possible

I'm sure that there are not enough modules in the BIOS itself
please guide me on the way to study the problem

TerraMaster F2-210 BIOS MOD

Hi everyone, this is the first time I make a BIOS MOD.

This BIOS MOD has only been tested on the TerraMaster F2-210 model. It includes the following changes:
  • CSM Options enabled
  • boot order enabled
  • "samrt" typo fix
The reason why I made this mod was because I couldn't boot into Debian without first booting into the BIOS every time (because "boot order" was disabled).

INSTRUCTIONS:

In order to flash the BIOS, you'll need to download AFUDOS, boot into FreeDOS and finally run the following command:
AFUDOS.EXE BIOSMOD.ROM

I recommend making a backup before flashing the modified file.
You do everything at your own risk!

ACER Aspire 5 a515-45 (Need BIOS flash walkthrough)

I have an ACER A515-45 laptop that is only 9 months old. Out of nowhere, the laptop stopped working. The power turns, keyboard lights stay on and the fan spins only when the CPU starts to heat up a bit.

I’ve narrowed it down to a BIOS malfunction. I could be wrong. Is there anyone that can provide me some files or any steps that I can take to get this thing working again?

I have a BIOS programmer if that will help in any way. I’ve already tried flashing the bios but I don’t think it worked. The program needs .bin files but ACER BIOS only gives .fd files.

Lenovo M720Q bios modding, tool questions

I have a Lenovo M720Q that I'm trying to do some modding work on (primarally just unlocking all the questions in the forms). I've used a CH341A to make an image of the BIOS flash part. It's a dscriptor mode image  so I used UEFITool to extract the BIOS region. The BIOS itself is based on Aptio.
I have tried using AMIBCP 5.02.0031 on both the BIOS region but I get a message that the image is not Aptio V (but it's Aptio and I don't think there have been any Aptio 4 BIOSes for anything released in the last decade). 
Just to see what would happen, I tried using BCP on the raw image. I also tried MMTool version 5.02.0025 on both the BIOS region and the whole flash image. All these attempts failed with the same result. 

I saw an older thread from a couple years ago on the win-raid forums where someone got AMIBCP working but the person who managed it is inactive on those forums. 

Could anyone here clue me in to the trick? Is there a better tool for splitting up a descriptor mode image? I see AMI BCP has an option to open .fv files which sounds like another option may be extracting the right firmware volume and giving that a shot. Is that a viable path? Does anyone know the correct GUID for that firmware volume. 

Full discolure, I have experience in BIOS development but it's been a little over a decade since I have done anything BIOS related. But all the basics of UEFI look to be the same as when I left the industry.
