H55 BIOS on an HM55 board.

Hello everyone! I am new to these forums, so I apologize in advance if this thread is in the wrong place.

I have a PCWINMAX HM55 Motherboard, attached to this post is what it looks like. I bought it with the intent of overclocking some Arrandale/Clarksfield CPUs, but the BIOS has no options for adjusting the speed or voltages of the CPU. I have tried XTU, setFSB, and many other programs, and none of them work.

I tried to see if the settings were hidden in the BIOS, so I saved a copy of the BIOS and viewed it in AMIBCP but nothing is hidden. 

Recently, I came across another post here with someone talking about an H55 board, that looks nearly identical to my HM55 board (besides the socket of course,) and they had modified the BIOS to unlock all of the overclocking options. My point being that his unlocked H55 BIOS is VERY similar to my HM55 BIOS.

Now, I know that flashing the H55 BIOS on my HM55 board won't work, but how hard would it be to adjust the unlocked H55 BIOS in order to be able to use it on my HM55 board at all (if that is even possible.)

I appreciate any help that I can get, and I again apologize if this thread is in the wrong category. Thank you.

Hello there, I recently bought ASUS ROG GU603ZX, and found the Armoury Crate app for ASUS laptops is very difficult to use. And the BIOS on this machine doesn't give the user much freedom. So I am looking for any chance to unlock the BIOS for advanced tuning.

Good afternoon.
I have an Intel D865GSA socket 775, chipset Intel 865G, and would like your help to mod it to support Pentium Dual-Core like wolfdale or allendale. More about to use more efficient processors rather than speed.
Thanks to the great list from vogons, "LGA 775 Motherboards with AGP Slots", read that the AsRock 775i65G (R2.0 and 3.0) can support those processors.

Hi everyone,
I have a Gigabyte Aero 15XC (3070, 10870H) and I wanted to unlock my BIOS options for undervolting due to thermal/power consumption issues (and maybe for enabling XMP/higher clock on my RAM that is currently locked). I am still a total newbie to this, how can I do it without damaging my laptop?

Hi.
    I would want to ask if anyone can mod the this bios in order to assign IRQs to PCI cards. Whenever I add a new PCI card in the system I get 

Warning: IRQ not configured - Pci at slot 01
    Bus:00, Device: 0E, Function: 00
System Configuration Data updated

and than in windows the PCI card will not work because it returns that the BIOS did not assign an IRQ to it.

Can somebody please change the bios in order to assign IRQs to the PCI slot (BTW by default there is not PCI slot so it has to be soldered) but after soldering it detects all the cards that I put in... I am just having a hard time with the IRQs. I don't thing anyone ever did a PCI "upgrade" to this logic analyzer

PS: In BIOS all IRQ assignments are set to auto.

Acer predator orion 3000

Hello!

I am used to wokr with car ecu software and this new to me.

I have recently bought an acer predator orion 3000 po3-630, and would like to play with it =)

for starters i'm trying to show menus that are hidden but i have no luck with it.

like this one: memory overclocking is supported in the motherboard, and i would like a seperate menu for it.
i have had luck with enabling xmp via optimal settings etc... but i would like some more options to it.
i have set all the setting in amibcp to user, there are no new settings in my bios. i think it has to do with GUI
the bios is running. can someone send me to right direction how to do it?

the bios is read directly from gd25b256 chip via external programmer.

I've been doing several tutorials for several days to try to modify my BIOS (ASUS TUF Gaming B550M-Plus) but without success.
I wanted to show the functions that are hidden in the bios, at first I was interested in disabling HPET and LTR. both are hidden in the BIOS and via SCEWIN as well.
Can anyone help me with this mod? I would really appreciate it!

Hi All, this is my first thread in this forum, I recently got this new laptop. This laptop is full of potential with the latest and fastest fully unlocked CPU with 3080ti GPU (175w).

My original goal is just to enable Wake on Lan. However, after digging for a day, I found out there are so many options can be unlocked through AMIPCB.
There is a few default CPU undervoltage and overclocking setting in stock bios but why not go all the way. It is going to be fun!
I am actually at the final stage of the bios modding, the problem I encountered right now is to flash the bios back in. I used the FPTW method through both under windows environment and EFI shell environment.

(Please note that I think I am using the right fptw version, CSME System Tools v16.0 r7 which support Alder Lake, I have successful dump the backup.rom for doing the mod in AMIPCB.)

Under both environment, fptw -bios -f backup.rom gave me the same error as shown below:
Error 167: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS, preventing flash access.
Please contact the target system BIOS vendor for an option to disable
Protected Range Registers.
FPT Operation Failed.

I have also used RU.efi under EFI Shell to disable BIOS LOCK, and the Flash Protection (FPRR) was disabled by default. I have double check both value are 00, the setting stick but I am still getting error.
Can some BIOS Guru give me some advice or next action to do, so that I will be able to flash the bios through FPT. 

I am tired man…… I am guessing may be my laptop is too new, and there is more option to disable instead of just Bios lock and FPRR.

Hi I have bought a used Toshiba Z930 laptop but I cant do much with it beause it has this Supervisor Passwors . I did a lot of reading on my phone and not a tech person I got into the BIOS and see it has Supervisor Password. No worries I call the guy I bought it from but he never answers phone of texts so cant find out from him what that password is. Any ideas what I can do ?

Hello, I would like to request a BIOS mod for this laptop to enable all hidden/locked features in the BIOS, specifically BIOS version 310, the latest.

There has been another thread with this BIOS already, but it remained private and the user was inexperienced and had issues with his display after changing a setting.

So would it be possible to make a bios, and let it be available for anyone with this popular laptop?

First of all I am glad to see a forum about what i need, and Mods to help. Thank you all!
I have problem about trying to change Memmory xmp profile with "thaipoon burner" but i get error while starting, about (Writes to SMBus addresses 50h-57h are disabled by BIOS settings) after many search bios and web i understand that causes locked bios versions. I hope anybody help to solve my problem. I am going to add informations and bios version of i am using with Gigabyte Z170 HD3P version F5g. I also should add information, looking f5g version bios because using non-k overclocking ability.

[REQUEST] Enabling PCIe Bifurcation on ASUS X99-E WS (non-3.1/10G)

Hello, I recently purchased a ASUS X99-E WS motherboard to serve as my personal NAS at home.

I was exceedingly disappointed to find that PCIe bifurcation is not 'enabled in the bios'... however I have seen it confirmed in other places that it is possible. I tried doing this myself for several hours, but I am getting hung up on identifying exactly which IIO to use and then successfully testing the modification. I'd appreciate some help... I would be fine with running the lowest level bifurcation on every slot on the board... (4x4x4x4 on first, then 4x4 each of remaining 6). I was using the .CAP bios version 4001 found here: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/So...S-4001.zip

I've used a few of the prior ASUS X99 models on this forum as a guide, but having trouble filling gaps between those models and my board.
