Eglobal 8250U, 8259U, 8265U BIOS Unlock

The bios is locked, some options missed in "Advanced" tab. TPM 2.0 switch is not available, though CPU has it's own TPM module. BIOS can be dumped just fine with FPTW64 version 12. The problem is - I am not sure that it is safe to flash BIOS or not, and I don't have ability to recover it if something goes wrong.

For now I decided to postpone flashing BIOS until someone check if it's safe or not. Can someone help me with that?

My "generic" yet quite powerful mini PC doesnt h'ave BIOS option to enable fTPM so I cannot install Windows 11. It would be super nice if some wizard on this forum could unlock my bios (AMI APTIO V) to enable this option. Thnaks in advance !

flashing a bios rom/bin to a bios storage chip

hello, I am familiar with the flashing of a bios chip with a CHA341 bios programmer and have used software tools to achieve this, now my question is is it possible for one to flash a chip from the usb port of a pc using a different computer or a android phone, I have seen this procedure done with a car before where the electric system was kept at the operating voltage and a computer was hoked up over a obd ii port and flashed from a second computer

Hello!
I need to deactivate my integrated GPU (Vega 8) and use only my dedicated GPU (Radeon 540X), but my BIOS doesn't show that option. Can someone fully unlock the advanced bios tab?
I would really appreciate it!

I can tell you with certainty that the Core 2 Extreme X9000 works perfect on an old eMachines D725 with GL40 chipset (I am writing this with this fresh update), additionally I had already tested the T9500 which worked flawlessly for years. The factory CPU in this notebook was a T4300 for the record. Big Grin

Gigabyte X58A UD3R not working with AMD RX cardsa

Hello guys, I was wondering if somebody could help me here.

I have a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R motherboard (rev 2.0). This board on the current bios is the FH released in 2012/01/06. On this BIOS both RX 480's that I have (Sapphire Nitro RX 480 4GB & ASUS DUAL OC RX 480 4GB) do not give display outputs. In my main build with a MSI Z97M motherboard the cards function correctly. With a GTX 1060 my X58A posts just fine, no problems whatsoever.

I was wondering if there is a way to mod the bios so that RX 480's give display output. It apparantly is possible to get a RX 480/580/5700(XT) working on this board, if I look up test results on userbenchmark.com. 

I couldn't find a specific bios-mod-request section for GPU-related things so I'd rather ask it here.

I'm unfortunately not experienced with updating the bios and all the things about bios modding, so any help with that would be apreciated.

Hi,  I have old Asus X55C laptop (chipset HM76) that had i3-2328M that doesn't have Turbo Boost.  I replaced it with i7-3540M which has Turbo Boost, but BIOS doesn't have setting for that (to disable or enable Turbo Boost).  I have the latest Bios version 409: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/X55C/HelpDesk_BIOS/  I'm completely new to "modding", but if I understand well - if I "unlock" BIOS on that laptop, then I should be able to disable or enable Turbo Boost, right?  Or maybe even after "unlocking" there is no guarantee that "Turbo Boost" setting will become available in BIOS (maybe it's not hidden setting but it's just not there at all)?

Hello. I am currently trying to find a way to force Intel-VT to be enabled, as my system has a supervisor password preventing me from changing the settings. I can give you some context.
Up to 2014 my country had a program where students entering Secondary School would be given a (pretty crappy) laptop to assist with learning. Flash forward to almost 7 years later, I've been out of school for almost 2 years and this is *still* the main computer I use. (Yes, I know. I can't do anything about it.)


I've been trying for a number of years to bypass the supervisor password to access BIOS settings to no avail, all just to try getting VT enabled.


Today I tried updating the BIOS from here. The BIOS I tried to update to was 9ccn35ww(?) [based on the .exe name]. At first, it told me that it wasn't a newer BIOS than what I had. This is likely because when the government bought the laptops, they seemed to have some partnership with Lenovo that shipped a modified BIOS. (There's a custom boot image for it at least). I extracted the files of the BIOS updater and edited platform.ini setting Bios_Version_Check to 0. It then seemed to "install" but when it rebooted into the BIOS, it said it was unable to decompress (the firmware).


Right now I'm at my limit. I don't even care about unlocking the BIOS, I just want to find a way to force VT to be enabled. The MSR 0x3a is set to 0x00000001, so it's locked and I can't change it from in the OS itself. Does anybody have *any* way to help me force this thing to be enabled? I'm willing to try just about anything. Thanks.


Oh, and P.S., your forum's editor seems to be a bit broken.

Asus c621e sage code 00 with ES CPUs

Hi, i just registered here, so if this is not the right place to post please redirect me. A few months ago i got aan almost free asus c621e sage. It's supposed to be working, but i've got no way to verify it. I have bought two xeon platinum 8160 QL1K engineering samples to go with it and 12x8GB M393A1G43EB1-CRC RAM modules. the seller sent me a modified BIOS image that is supposed enable support for ES CPUs in this board, since to my knowledge it doesnt support them without modding. I just recieved the ram and the cpus, and i need to test that they work as soon as possible so i can return them in case something doesnt work. I am yet awaiting for the waterblocks, and it doesnt seem like they will arrive until end of the month, and since i need to test this right now, i have flashed the modded bios onto the baord and i'm using my main pc's power supply for testing. However, i have not been able to get past code 00 yet. Since i have no cooler, i have to manually press down on the CPU onto the socket. if i start pressing it while the psu is powered on, the board turns on, wich freaks me the [censored] out. None of the cpus seem to pass code 00 tho. I'm trying in socket 1, wich gets warm after a while, but no response and no beeps. I have tried it with and without memory installed and nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this? I uploaed the modded bios the seller sent me in case that helps. Thanks in advance.
