Need help modding bios. Reflashing modded bios doesnt seem to have any effects

Hello, i am new to this this forum as well as well as modding bios. Sorry if this is in the wrong sections i couldnt find one more appropriate. I am currently trying to mod my bios to access the over clocking features. My motherboard is a m5a97 evo2 and is very similar but not the same as the m5a97 evo r 2.0 The evo r 2.0 has overclocking capibilities and mine does not. after looking at the bios file in amibcp the ai tweaker is present in the rom. the ai tweaker the feature responsaible for overclocking. My issue is when i flash my modded bios it doesnt seem to do anything, it doesnt even reset my settings in the bios. I dont see any new features with the bios modded. Is there something obviously different about my board vs the evo r 2.0 that would indicate that its not possible to over clock? Is there anyway i can verify that the modded bios was actually flashed? I have tried using afuwin and afudos uaing /gan. Any help is appriciated!!! Sorry for any typos or other mistakes, the page is a jumbled mess and i cant actually see what im typing.

[Request] Add GTX compatibility in bios Clevo P870DM-g

Hi guys, I recently done the hardware mod for the Clevo P870DM-G following this guide: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/...upgrade.814711/

Added GTX 1070 G Sync, installed fine with driver mod.

My problem is that in bios the card it is not recognized, on the GPU says unknown. The second GPU FAN of the laptop not working because it does not recognize the card.

Need help in adding this card support in the bios that the second fan will work (like it works with the Clevo 980DT). Or mod the bios for card support.

Right now I am on the Clevo 1.05.07 stock gsync bios.

Pls help.

[Business request] Update microcode in Intel NUC BIOS

Hi all,

I already tried to update ucode myself in multiple ways. Nothing worked.
But I know it is possible to update it without requesting Intel support.
Still I requested it but they answered with estimation of few months of waiting period.

I tried:

1. Internal flash utility.
I updated microcode in officially released BIOS - UEFITool shows proper revision and checksum.
But after trying to update with internal tool it fails with error:
Code:
Incompatible BIOS version, Update aborted.

I believe there is other checksum which need to be adjusted. This method is confirmed to be working (but I don't know what need to be fixed here)

2. I have tried FPT method in
Windows
Code:
Error 559: EOM prevents IFWI Prepare to Update from completing
EFI
Code:
Error 368: Failed to disable write protection for the BIOS space.

This method will probably not work as there is BIOS guard..

Like in title it is business offer. I would like to pay for help Wink So if any one could try I'm waiting.

Asus m5a87 cpu e2 module microcode update
hi i have updated misc.rom and ahci raid rom etc, realtek lan
but i have tried to do a mod by my self since e2 module contains cpu microcode
its old non uefi ami bios
but i had no luck, my cpu runs fine but if i update the microcode for the current microcodes that is in the bios
since there are newer codes out there..
crash free bios kicks in when i flash new e2 module
latest asus bios update 2013
i will attach my modded bios if someone can continue with that one
i have seen other posts with sucess

my current system is fx8320@4ghz 1866memory in raid win 11

Hi! I need help and found this forum while searching the web. I have a Fujitsu Celsius H710 and I need an unlocked bios to use the intel igpu HD Graphics 3000 instead of the discrete graphic card nvidia quadro 1000m. The original bios is very limited and there is no option to activate the igpu. Reason why I want to use the igpu is because of the very disturbing fan of the discrete graphic card. I only use the laptop for Internet surfing/youtube/spotify and dont need the discrete graphic card.

I would also like to undervolt the cpu, but i dont know if it´s even possible or advisable^^

Can you help me? Would be amazing <3

I've bricked my PH315-53 during a bios update. I've already ordered a programmer with a SOIC8 clip, but I'm having trouble finding the BIOS.
I've found a candidate near the CPU (attached photo). Is this my BIOS chip?

Good morning, I write to request help regarding a motherboard that I have an Asus P5GC-TVM / S I managed to get an Intel Pentium 5400 processor to update an old Intel E1240 that the computer has, the new processor starts and works by starting the operating system, but An error message appears on the BIOS screen and the 2.7 ghz processor speed is cut in half, the motherboard is not officially supported by the manufacturer, so there is no way to get a BIOS update.

I have attached the original BIOS file for the motherboard.

Hi, please help me unlock CFG Lock and increase DVMT pre-alloc value to 128MB and unhide Advanced menu! I'm trying to install Hackintosh but some hidden features cause me so many troubles.

Specifications:
Lenovo Thinkpad L390
Intel Core i7-8565u
Intel UHD Graphics
BIOS R10ET50W (1.35 ) on 2021/3/30

I tried to use Intel FPT to dump bios both in DOS and Windows(10 and pe) but failed, and I tried to use Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 but failed too.Please instruct me how to dump in other way.

I also attached here the original BIOS exe file for your reference.

Hi,
I'm new in this forum but I need your help for unlock my HP 14 ac186la Bios.
Because I'm new and I don't know so much about this threads, I will really grateful if you guys show me what it needs to get that.

Model: HP 14 ac186la
Bios: InsydeH20 F.28

I don't have any ideas about how do I get the bios right now, I was looking for the HP Page but actually it shows me an new bios (an update I guess) which is a F. 31 but I don't want to upgrade it because maybe it's going to be more difficult for unlock.

I really hopes you guys can help me with it.
