Hi!

I recently dumped my bios which I will attach. Could someone help me by pointing me to comprehensive bios modding tutorial for Isyde bioses. I prefer to mod it myself and experiment with increasing TDP limit, overclocking RAM, tweaking turbo boost parameters and termal fan speed tables. Also does somebody know which of these things are possible? Now I can only undervolt my CPU.

Thanks!

Asus WS-C621E-SAGE Memory Issue

I have an Asus WS-C621E-SAGE motherboard with the current test setup:

1x Xeon Bronze 3104
1x Samsung DDR4-ECC 2933 64GB M393A8G40MB2-CVF

Both of these parts are in the AVL for this board.
No other hardware is connected aside from the 750W PSU and fans.
I have both 10 pin CPU connections in place.

Yet it refuses to boot with the error "Abnormal memory" and code B0 (the initial BIOS screen does come on but doesn't progress past this).
If I try with a Kingston KSM26RS8/8HAI 8GB module - also on the AVL - it boots fine. So I know the motherboard and processor are working.

I don't have another DDR4-ECC system to test the Samsung modules on, but I've tried all 6 that I have (one at a time) and they came from a reputable reseller - so I'm not yet convinced they're bad.

So my hope is that there's some BIOS related incompatibility between the CPU and RAM which could be patched.

Is there anyone who could help me with this? I have experience with reverse engineering, x86 assembly, debugging interfaces, etc - but not with BIOSes, so I would really appreciate some guidance in exploring it if no-one has any straightforward answers.

ETA: I have contacted Asus tech support for this, they informed me I'd have to arrange a replacement/refund with the seller of the motherboard - despite the motherboard working just fine.
ETA: My BIOS version is 6201

Change the amount of dedicated video memory on a laptop Acer Nitro AN515-43

Hello, Dear Friends!
I have a laptop Acer Nitro 5 AN515-43, it is compiled based on CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3550H and video card NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650.
It has 8 gigabytes of RAM and has a very nasty problem. The processor has an integrated graphics core, which is reserved by default with 2 GB of video memory from RAM. This is too redundant considering that we have a discrete video adapter. This leads to many RAM problems.

I would like to change the parameter which on the PC is called "UMA Frame Buffer Size", and on a laptop this is not an exception.
Unfortunately, Acer locked these settings and I would like to edit them using software H2OUVE, which I found on the Internet and it really works. But I can't figure out how to do this with the section that stores the setting I need. It is called "AMD CBS", therefore, I appeal to you, to the wonderful community of this project. I do not need full unlock, I only need to change this parameter. I tried it myself but kept getting the same allocated 2GB all the time. Here is an example of what this parameter looks like and how it changes, in this case on the MSI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkJ85lX_Udo, but this does not matter. Section structure AMD CBS, they have almost the same. I hope for your help. Thanks in advance. Wink

Emachines D725 Cpu upgrade to an Core2Extreme X9000

Hello friends, I want to ask you for help with this.
I have an emachines D725 with GL40 chipset and currently running an amazing Core2Duo T9500, so good, but I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade to a Core2Extreme X9000, just for fun.
In theory it is possible, the two processors are exactly the same except for the power consumption (T9500 35W - X9000 44W), so I bought one, specifically the SLAQJ C0 010676, I thought there would be no problem but it did not work, it just turns on but nothing more. I was going to give up but I thought it might be due to some microcode update, but being a Phoenix BIOS I have not managed to insert the new microcode.
In summary It doesn't boot / it shows no error, only black screen (on) the pc is always on.

ASUS TUF A15 FA506IV BIOS Unlock Request.

I would like to have AMD CBS Menu, and many hidden settings unlock, so people can customize their device more.
Especially in the memory timing and clock regards, also adding Resizable BAR or anything regarding Smart Access Memory Support would be nice.

I've made a dump of BIOS  from CH341A SPI Programmer, so If anyone could instruct or make a Modded BIOS for me, Thanks.
