[REQUEST] Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ARE05 BIOS Unlock

Need help unlocking advanced configurations.  Help is appreciated.

Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ARE05
Ryzen 7 4700U
BIOS Version: DZCN37WW

Is the BIOS.cap file from the BIOS update good to use?  I can upload that as I captured it from the temporary extraction directory.  If not I can do the SPI read.

That's okay, I can use an SPI programmer with a SOIC clip.  I found the Winbond SPI flash chip on the motherboard.

Someone did an RWEverything unlock on a fairly similar system:

My contents were not similar enough for me to know what value to change.  Any chance on this system...?

Power failure while updating bios

I'm new here and don't know how should I ask for help. My apologies . I was updating bios to 5.90 form 5.20 and while updating I faced load shedding issue and pc turned off (73% done). After that turned power on and nothing shows on monitor (it's not posting anything on monitor). I got random code on led which is located on motherboard. Led shows me few random code changing and F2 then F9 and it shows forever.

My motherboard Bios chip model: MX25U12873F

May be my motherboard bricked.

PC Specs: Ryzen 7 1700 Asrock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming X G.skill flarex 3200 Mhz 8GB Corsair MP510 250 GB Asus ROG Strix RX580 OC 8GB

my question is :

1. Is there any way to restore bios?
2. can I flash the chip using "BIOS_PH" header?
3. Can I flash this chip using an external SPI programmer (CH341A based programmers)? If I can flash using external should I desolder the chip?

Current situation: For the COVID-19 pandemic we are in lockdown situation. every service center is close now. and the the lockdown period is not mention yet. I'm a full time freelancer and I need to fix the motherboard asap. I can't effort new one now.

[REQUEST] Toshiba Satellite A105-S4074 BIOS Unlock

I would like to install a faster wireless card in my Toshiba Satellite A105-S4074, but I think I'm running into whitelisting problems, because the Intel 5100agn card just won't work even though the driver is installed. The Intel app says, "the driver is not linked to transport" and the device manager says, "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

I would like if possible to get a whitelist-free bios for this model of Satellite. I don't see it listed in the onsite repository of INSYDE unlocked BIOS.

Hi,

I'd like to request a modification of the aimb-214 Bios to enable EMT64. Currently it is listed as "Not Supported" in the BIOS though the CPU does have this capability.

Changing power button behavior at start - AMI UEFI bios

Hi, I ordered a tablet PC (Atom Z8350) from an OEM chinese manufacturer. The PC requires to press the power button for approx 5 seconds before it starts. However no visual/acoustic indication is provided, the bios POST screens appears with short delay, making the startup procedure very confusing. The manufacturer says it is how mobile phones get started today but they have vibrations or sound to notify about the startup. I have not been able to convince the manufacturer to change the startup config for me.

Please is there any way to mod the American Megatrends bios (v. 5.011) to change this to regular PC startup - i.e. a short pushing the power button starts the board? I have windows installed and/or can boot linux from live USB. I do not know if this feature is provided by the BIOS or if it is hard-wired in the board.

Another question - is it possible to rotate the bios boot screen, the device boots in portrait mode? I can rotate the screen when the OS starts but that will not affect the boot screen.

Gigabyte Aorus X7 DT V7 having issues after BIOS update

My SKU was previously identified as X7Y7 in the BIOS. When I updated the BIOS using their drivers updater app installed a BIOS update that was supposed to be installed on X7X7 SKU. Fortunately the laptop boots and and runs fine but since the two SKUs differ in graphics card and as such gtx 1080 on X7Y7 and gtx 1070 on X7X7 (at least that's as much as I know) and therefore the SUBSYS_ID on my gtx 1080 is changed to that of a 1070 preventing me from insalling nvidia drivers. I only realized much later on that they release the exact same BIOS for multiple SKUs after spending countless hours through forums and finally start using AMIBCP tool to look through the flashable images for both the X7Y7 and  X7Y7 which is the exact same. Please help me fix this and thank you in advance for your effort.
