Manufacturer: Lenovo
-Motherboard Model: X230
-Bios revision: 2.62 10/3/2014
-Bios Type: Phoenix BIOS

I've attempted to modify my own BIOS by adding just the card I wanted to use, a Broadcom BCM4311 (works out of the box on OSX) by replacing the hw ID number of the existing Intel card in the *.fl2 file, but after flashing using the update utility on Windows XP, there is no change, as it seems the ID string needs to be replaced in both the .fl1 and .fl2 files. But as other users here on the board have experienced, modifying both files results in flash failure as seen here https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Solved-REQUEST-Lenovo-X230-wlan-whitelist-removal
I just purchased the eeprom programming tool in order to flash the chip directly, I just need a non-whitelisted BIOS
