Hi All,
My laptop (Lenovo Ideapad 510s-13IKB) is limited to 8 GB of RAM (that is what Lenovo is saying). At the moment I have 8 GB installed and everything works fine.
Windows shows me that max for this laptop is 32 GB :O After bios unlock I can see that it has 4 dimm slots in bios but only 1 physical slot for RAM exist. That would make sense right now 4 slots each 8 GB then total would be 32 GB.
Now, all slots besides one that exist on motherboard are disable in bios. If I enable them will this also unlock ability to populate slot with 16 or 32 GB RAM stick or is this locked to 8 GB by hardware not bios?
Please see photos of my bios and see if you have any idea. Also if anyone have any recommendation to optimize memory settings please share.
