Hi I have a Lenovo V570 with bios version 44CN36WW and an intel 6150 wimax card. I want to put in a dual band card that is wimax and widi compatible that will work like the 6250. Please post a link to modded bios that will allow me to upgrade my wireless card. All links to a working one in previous threads are disabled. Thanks

Need Help or Tips to unlock Insyde H20 EFI 5.0 Bios for my Acer B115-M

Hello BIOS Modder Team,

I'm trying to unlock the hidden menue pages on my acer travelmate b115-M bios
"It's an Insyde H20 EFI 5.0 Bios" an i try to unlock by the "bootx64.efi usb
boot" that i see in this tutorial

So my first step ist to dump my bios with the "unversal bios dumper " without any error
second i use the "phoenix/dell/efi slic mod" tool to extract the bios dump and last i use the
uefidump.pl to extract the bios menu entrys to find the hidden menues id's.
But nothing extracted rom file with uefidump.pl occured an message "IFR_Package_SIG not found Exiting Programm..."

So i think the bios dump from the unversal bios dump tool is wrong and im
search on the acer side for my model for bios updates i'm was lucky because
in the last days... a new bios update was release from v1.04 to v.16 and i'm download
the tool. so i extract the patcher with 7z and modify the platform.ini file to dump
a backup ... but i does not work an the patcher say "No New Version" so i become
no dump.

The next im looking for the current new bios dump in the "ZHJB_116.exe" file from acer
but no new bios file with ending .fd or .bin is included?
I wonder me an try to flash to new version ...it works the new bios was flashed without
to see the bios in the flash file i think it's packed or encrypted in other files Sad

So i have a new Bios from v1.04 to v.16 but also wihtout hidden menues.

So i try the next step and direct load the "ZHJB_116.exe" file from acer's bios update in "phoenix" tool
... and im lucky the tool find the Acer Bios and also extract the rom dumps. So i also use uefidump.pl
on every *.rom file but the same error occured. "IFR_Package_SIG not found Exiting Programm..." Sad

And now im at the end Sad I do not know anymore.
Somehow everything is different than i see in tutorials in videos or post/blogs in the web

Do you have an idea or a few tips as I continue come to the hidden menus in my bios?

ideapad U410 65CN99WW whitelist

Hi, I have a Lenovo Ideapad U410, and have updated the BOIS to 65CN99WW (downloaded from Lenovo site) recently, after that the BIOS identifies itself as a U310, did I done something wrong? Anyway, everything seems ok so I just ignore it.

Now, I want to change a WIFI/Bluetooth mini card onto my U410, and need to remove the whitelist, I read a lot of thread here also with the BIOS 65CN99WW and most of them were able to remove their whitelist successfully, I try to download the modified 65CN99WW but all the links are not available or the file was deleted.

Can somebody advice me how to get a whitelist removed 65CN99WW BIOS? Or I have to modify my own one?

I have attached my backup 65CN99WW.bin, please help me how to deal with it.

Lenovo G480 Remove Windows License

I have a Lenovo laptop model G480 20149 core I3, and he comes whith Windows 8 STD SGL serial on bios.
I wanna to know if a can remove this serial for installing othrer version of Windows, like Windows 8.1 using the UEFI, secure boot and GPT partition options.

[HELP] Lenovo E145 Whitelist

Hello
I boughted wifi-card for my notebook Lenovo E145

After plugin it, when I turning on notebook, error is showing:
Unauthorized network card is plugged in

I decided to replace id of my old card to id of new card
But I faced with problems

Here algorhytm I try to update BIOS

1. Updating BIOS for last version from official site (2.02)

2. Starting PhoenixTool, select firmware

3. Choosing manufacturer (Lenovo)

4. Choosing options NO SLIC and allow user to modify other modules

5. PhoenixTool now wait, till we updating required ROM-files

6. Replace old ID with new ID
Old card:
BROADCOM BCM943228HMB VEN_14E4&DEV_4359&SUBSYS_060714E4
New card:
Atheros AR5B225 VEN_168C&DEV_0032&SUBSYS_E044105B

We need to find HEX-string E4145943E4140706 && replace it to 8C1632005B1044E0

9. Here is problem. Official firmware is writing:
Warning: Skipping all SLP subregions!
Error 234 - SecureFlash verification fail!

Corrupted interface descriptors in the new BIOS file
Part Table Signature not found in the interface

Just got a new laptop (Y50-70) and bought Intel 7260 AC (7260.NGWWB) for it but getting the error.

Hello all!

i have a really serious problem i upgraded my CPU from intel Pentium Dual core B950 to Core i3 2310M because i though it was compatible since its pretty much identical except for 2 extra threads and Intel HD 3000 (2000 in pentium)

i need help to get a modded BIOS to support it it is working flawlessly and it shuts down every 30 mins exactly even in BIOS

and thats pretty much everything i know/rememebr to type

Hi,

I'm new in this forum and I would like to to post also a Lenovo Z50-70 WHITELIST WIFi/BLUETOOTH BIOS 9BCN25WW .
Im trying to change the WIFI to a Intel 7260AC

My confgíguration:
-Motherboard Model: Lenovo Z50-70 (LENOVO Lancer 5A5 (U3E1)
-Bios Version: BIOS 9BCN25WW
-Bios Lenovo: lenovo z50
-Bios Backup: bios backup
-Original Wifi card: Qualcomm Atheros AR956x Wireless Network Adapter

Heart Hi! I am just askin a general question as to whether it is worth it to change the bios from what I just flashed it to. It was 84.05 and I found a 84.06 from gateway. It has 2 GB of ram and windows 7 64 bit installed laptop with amd turion 64 2.0 cpu

hi everyone,

what a great forum we have here, glad that i found it. i have laptop hp pavilion dm4 3115tx and i just bought a new SSHD hdd. the problem is my laptop did not recognise it at all and there is no menu to auto detect it. if someone could help modify the bios so i could use my new hdd, i will very much glady. even a little compensate of your hard work should be glady provided. many thanks in advance for your kind attention Smile
